I like this fic. Are you going to continue? I just found it today. It makes you want to cry about the things that she going through. It also makes you want Inuyasha to hurt the guy that did this to her. You hold him while Inuyasha beats the daylights out of him.

This story is heartbreaking. Your writing is strong. It penetrates the fear with tenderness, leaving the reader both sympathetic and hopeful. You've infused each chapter with gripping emotion but have also managed to develop it at a believable, natural pace. It's also interesting to find such an engrossing story with the setting having more to do with real, everyday life than the canon's mythical premise. That impresses me enough to want to read more. Absolutely great work.

Up until I read this fic, one of the most powerful scenes that I have read in any fanfiction is in Broadway Baby when Inuyasha Hines has a panic attack in school and curls in upon himself in the corner. Now that will have a close runner-up with many of the scenes in this fic.
Kagome's reactions are very natural, and normal, especially her attempted suicide. Miroku's moment of "fear" when Inuyasha tells him no more lechery put me in mind of Sesshoumaru's moment when Inuyasha transformed. That was a good bridge between canon and fanon. On the other hand, I can't really see Inuyasha letting Kagome return to school by herself so soon. While it is true that he did follow her, it just seemed too soon to the casual reader. I do think that Inuyasha's allowing of Hojo to 'protect' Kagome while he wasn't able to be at school with her shows the hidden maturity that the canon Inuyasha plays around with. The idea of a dog whistle was a good one. Too bad he didn't think to give Kagome one of those long ago. :-)
Overall a wonderful piece of work.

Hi! Thank you for updating this wonderful fic! I liked the latest chapter and how Kaede comforted Kagome in the maternal way of a grandmother. I liked also how Inuyasha threatened Miroku, and how he seemed to go along with it, or risk Inuyasha's wrath. If you don't mind, could you please e-mail me when you have updates to your stories? If not, I am a member of many Inuyasha lists, so I'm not hard to find ^_^! I can't wait to read more of this fic and Kagome's healing process!

I am so glad to see you update this story. I had emailed you a few months ago and you were kind enough to let me know that you would come back to Aburana in time and I thank you. I hope to see more updates soon because you are creating a wonderful story here. I have cringed at stories that have Kagome panting after Inuyasha within hours of being raped and it is so comforting to see someone handle this type of story with sensitivity and grace. Thank you and I eagerly await more.

This is a beautiful story, th I' I'm not trying to say that rape is. It isn't. I think you have done a wonderful job showing the psychological turmoil that Kagome would go through (and what Inuyasha goes through as a result). Kagome talking to Inuyasha about what happened is just such a tender scene....many times it is tenderness that can bring a couple or friends closer together. I can not wait to see what happens and I hope the best for Kagome!
