I like your story so far - don't see topics like this addressed in fan fiction all that often. I have to say that the continual misspelling of Kaede's name is very distracting, though. I noticed it in your other fics, too. Sorry to pick on such a small thing. It's just that I notice these things, and every time I see "Keade" it pulls me back out of the story, which is a shame because it's an interesting fic. Other than that, good job!

I wanted to make a suggestion. Perhaps, if you want to, you could make a spin-off which deals with youkai customs and traditions.

This a combination of reviews for both Motherhood, and Spring Fertility Festival.
Although I find these stories to be rather interesting, I find that I cannot commit my personal feelings to enjoy them overall. The involvement of gods in the plot was just not to my liking. Also I found Kagome's unwillingness to be marked by Inuyasha to be rather disrespectful. I mean she'll do a striptease in front of a whole village, but she won't go along with a sacred youkai custom. Lastly, I refuse to forgive Keade for putting the Inu-gumi through all that transpired.
In regards to Motherhood, I found it to be a bit odd. I felt exetremely awful in the midsts of reading what Kagome's mother had gone through.

i cant help but feel sorry for inuyasha in all your fics. it does seem as though you dislike that character. In this fic, you have sango, an ally of his, threatening to kill him. Im sure inuyasha could have easily gotten out of sango's hold and killed her, but he would not do that to an ally. and in your other fics, you have sess and kag together, not caring about inuyasha. but you can write however u want.

Once again you've pulled out another wonderful little fic. Great job! Your referencing skills are a wonder! And because of you, I have began researching history and myths for my fics. You inspired me! :P
Anyways, as far as Kagome treating Shippo like the villagers, I think....she would be inclined to allowing him to suckle on her. It's kind of a natural instict with children and mothers and I don't think Kagome would have too much a problem with it considering she treats Shippo as a son anyways. But as far as the rest....Welll......I don't think so. Times have changed and things like that arn't seen very often if at all. Not only that but I think, and this is just my opinion, but demons have their own tradtions apart from humans. Whether this would be of thf them i'm not one to say, but I don't think so. Plus you can blame my western feelings for that too, its just, well, eww. lol
Well however you choose to go, I know it'll be wonderful. Just, you know, if you add that part...could you warn us? lol

    Again, great job Jeff.

Wow... very informative, especially since your a dude. I'm ashamed to say you know alot more about it then I do! All I know is that it hurts! lol, anyway... I think Kagome should treat Shippou like she always has been. Only for the simple fact that he's a kitsune (demon). Human and demon probably have different cultures and such. Besides, if she started doing that, Inuyasha might kill the little bugger. We can't have that, now can we?

Son I'm surprised your asking for permission to have Kagome comfort Shippou the way the village women do. Live dangerously and go for it. We all got to die sometime.

Sorry, change favorit to favorite. I hate it when I don't click a key all the way down.

I also forgot to add that I persly tly thought that you did very well with the birth scene. Having gone through it twice, not even I know exactly all the stuff I was feeling. Well, except pain, agony, and confusion as to why I agreed to the whole thing.

    Good job again!

Well now jeffs, I can't see Kagome helping shippo to sleep like that. That would take a while I think. But I can see her experimenting with the suckling for comfort... and Inuyasha having a hissy-fit. I will read whatever you decide to throw out as you happen to be a favorit author of mine.

I think that it would be delightfully different to read something about Kagome treating Shippou in the manner of the village families. Would be kinda odd for some people i guess, but for others i think it would give them a better feeling of clo close Kagome is to her adopted son, i mean, if she's willing to go to that length to make him comfortable, then she must be a very caring person. (like we all know kagome to be)
