This is very good, and very in character. Bravo. I agree with your assessment of Sess/Kag pairings in general. Personally, it's one of my favorites, but I too get disgusted with it because so few can actually pull it off without turning sess into a fluffy bunny or scandalizing inuyasha. The best Sess/Kag story I've ever read was 'fugue' by Resmiranda. In fact, you should check it out; maybe it will help restore your faith in the pairing: kagsess.forsaken-faith.org / fanficread.php?fid=886&cid=1
