    IGNORE THE FLAMES!!!

i have read all of your other stories and i think this one is your best yet. You can really see how much you have developed in your writing (um, minus the grammar, but no big whup). My most favorite thing about your writing style is how you capture the tenderness between inuyasha and kagome - it's really excellent! I don't know if you read the manga, but to me your characters seem to follow in my mind more how they are in that than in the t.v. show, which is good - kagome can come off as a damsel in distress a lot, but i think she has an inner toughness many people miss. Plus, we all know Inuyasha loves kagome, but lives by a samurai-like code of honor; it would probably take a catastrophic accident like this to get him to be honest with himself. I think yo ureally capture this about inuyasha - anyone who has suffered a lot normally does two things: 1. they build walls around themselves and don't admit thier feelings, becuase they are used to the pain or numbness and can deal with it and to protect themselves in a paranoid, fear-of-rejection kind of way; and 2. they do anything for those that they love, becuase it is easier to show feelings than to express them verbally and i believe this carries more weight than just saying it anyway. Again, i think your writing is coming along great - boil any negative criticism down to what the person is trying to say and use it if it can improve your writing; otherwise, tell 'em to f-off!

I've been looking for your updates for the past couple of weeks and really missed having them. Thanks for the teaser. I was beginning to wonder what was going on in the fuedal era after Inuyasha and Kagome had been gone for so long and also when Inuyasha would be bringing her back there, especially since Kagome retains some memories of that time. This is a really good story. Will keep watching for your updates.

I don't know why anyone would complain about this fic. The thing that makes Inuyasha so addictive is not the action, but the characters. I think you have done an exceptional job of keeping both Kagome and Dogboy true to the anime and, more importantly, the manga. I've read both of your other stories (at least twice), and have'nt found an instance where I thought the character's reactions and dialouge were not true to their respective spirits. (OH KAMI, I sound like an English teacher---arrrrrgh!) Anyway, I really like where you are going with this fic, and I can't wait for the rest of the ride.

So happy to see this fic updated again! I haven't reviewed before, but no time like the present....

This was a very satisfying chapter. You've developed several concrete ways for Inuyasha to help Kagome recover that involve giving something of himself - his time, his memories, even his hair! That adds a real sweetness to the story that isn't just pretty words, but more tangible and more real. I always find myself jolted out of fanfics that have Inuyasha suddenly able to express his love in some witty "you complete me" fashion. He's so much more comfortable doing something concrete than talking about feelings.

In regards to the scar: I loved your idea of Inuyasha being able to heal it gradually with his claws and a lick. Very symbolic of the whole process of recovery that Kagome is undergoing and of Inuyasha using something that could harm to heal. Beautiful.

    Keep up the great work!

Like every morning, I opened up the site to scroll through the titles to see what was new. As soon as I saw you'd updated, I immediately stopped scrolling to read. As always, the chapter brought tears to my eyes. I guess it makes sense that Inuyasha would feel able to express himself better in Kagome's time period and to be less defensive. I like how you're developing the relationships between characters, not just with Inuyasha and Kagome, but also with Kagome's mom. Keep up the good work and I look forward to your next update.
