This story was soooo beautifully written, but, as for the ending...I'm sorry to say that you forgot a VERY (!)important detail. The Shikon No Tama couldn't be complete as they climbed up out of the well. Kagome had the missing pieces in a tiny bottle on a chain around her neck, remember?. That was the only thing wrong with this fantastic story.

I know that it's probably just a slip up,(especially when we're concentrating on the point(s)that we want to bring out in our stories) but when you're writing, that's something that every writer has to be careful of. We get so caught up with our writing that we have a tendancy to forget certain details.

You're not the first, nor shall you be the last (I myself have made the same error).

Other than that, I must say that this story is one of the better ones that I've read in quite a while on this site. I'm looking forward to reading more of your writings. Keep up the good work, little one.

Luv ya & leave ya. JA NE.

I had another thought, too. I don't suppose Inu has even considered that since he and Kagome were "together," she could be pregnant. It seems that his obligation to HER would definitely be the greater one. (Since he is so concerned with being "honorable." He may not have made her any VERBAL promises, but his actions spoke pretty loudly, ne?) If he KNEW that he was going to go with Kikyou, then he should have told her that before he was intimate with her. Of course, Kagome's love for him was such that she needed to let him know and would have wanted to be with him, anyway, with their survival so uncertain. *sigh* (She's WAY too good for him. LOL!!)

Oh, crap. He's still the same stupid ass he is in the manga. LOL!! So, Kikyou just wants to take him and the jewel to hell? Hmmm. It didn't work the first time she tried to take it with her when she died. It turned up again. (And so did SHE. Unfortunately. LOL!!) So, Inu chose loyalty to a dead woman, who never really loved HIM, over love for a living one. Yep. He's an idiot. I'm surprised Kikyou didn't try to get the shards from Kagome. Hey! I don't suppose Kagome is going to go back to her time and run into the Spirit Detectives from YYH and live happily ever after with Hiei. (Darn! I didn't think so. *sigh* LOL!!) I hope you get a chance to update soon! (And I hope Inu comes to his senses!)

Sounds like Kikyou has plans of her own for Inuyasha. What will he do? He seems to have chosen Kagome. (He'd better have! Grrr!) It would completely devastate her to have them all survive the battle and him go off with Kikyou. (Not to mention what a jackass that would make HIM. LOL!!) What does Kikyou think she's going to do with the jewel? Wish herself back to life? Then Inuyasha would still be a hanyou, and she wanted him to be human. Plus there's the whole "soul" issue. Or does she think she'll make him human? Then she's still dead. No future there, -- they couldn't really BE together or marry or have children or anything. (I never thought that wish would make the jewel disappear anyway.) Hmmm. Very intriguing. I DO hope Inuyasha stands up to her and tells her he has chosen Kagome. (It never got to happen in the manga, but at least we can make it happen in fanfics, thank goodness!) Looking forward to seeing what you have planned.
