God, it's so hard to read this sometimes! Makes me wish I could reach through the screen and give Sesshomaru a whole world of hurt. So, here's Inuyasha falling to pieces before his very eyes, and his thoughts are calculating, wondering what his approach should be in order to get his way with Inuyasha, and his other thoughts are upset about how Inuyasha is referring to Rin. Aaaaaaaaaargh! I have an insatiable craving for Sesshomaru to be hurt so deeply, that he will carry his own bleeding wounds for the rest of his life the same way he's ensured that Inuyasha has to carry his. And then he has the unmitigated gall to oversimplify Inuyasha's perspective! Oh, Inuyasha isn't as mature as I thought, gotta treat him like a kid, only not let him know that's what's going on. Oh, Inuyasha is hurt the same way, feeling he's being replaced. How DARE Sesshomaru compare his teenage feelings to Inuyasha's hurt! Sesshomaru's pain was caused by misunderstandings with his father, miscommunication, and a lack of trust on his father's part. Hurtful, but not intentional, and his father obviously loved him. Sesshomaru, on the other hand, abandoned an infant, a tiny child Inuyasha, and then actively abused and tortured him, threatened him with death, and made sure Inuyasha never had a thing, not even knowledge of his own family and species. And now, here's Sesshomaru, all high and mighty and judgemental at Inuyasha's failings due to his lack of knowledge about his own culture. Damn it! I want Sesshomaru to be HURT! Then I want you to work really, really hard to make it all better and in the end have sweet Inu loving! Damn it!

Honestly, this is one of the most incredible stories I've ever read. I LOVE the back and forth emotional swings that Inuyasha and Sesshomaru are suffering. I love their confusion, their hopes and dreams, and I especially love the very inventive punishment being dished out to Sesshomaru. For someone so brilliant, he sure is missing several cogs in the wheels of his intellect when it comes to empathy for his brother. OK, so now he "feels Inuyasha's pain," and he finally knows the utter hell Inuyasha has suffered, so obviously since he's decided to end his anti-Hanyou campaign, all must turn out to be sunshine and butterflies. Sesshomaru needs to have the final hopes of his life doused in acid like he perpetrated upon Inuyasha. Only then will he really know the true levels of pain Inuyasha felt. It's so cruel, that Sesshomaru should sincerely want to mend bridges with his brother, and then let so much stupid crap interfere with that laudable goal. He just keeps ending up too little too late where his brother is concerned. The hurts are so deep, I really don't know how they could ever truly be overcome.

On another note, I love more than anything your OC's. Love Diagon, Retsu and Atrius. The female general/mercenary is a highly intriguing and interesting character, but annoying as all hell too.

I'm all agog to find out how you are going to bring peace and resolution to these two crushed brothers.

This story is so good! I actually had to stop during chapter 13 because I was crying so hard at Sesshomaru witnessing his father's death. The writing is incredible. It pulls the reader in right away and doesn't let go. I've been reading this for the last 4 hours and I can't make myself stop. I really hope that this isn't an abandoned story, I really want to see how this all goes. Thank you for this amazing story!

You're alive! I'm so glad this story isn't dead. It would be a shame. Anyways, Naraku is one messed up freak, Sesshomaru is one frustrated brother, and Inuyasha is one unfortunate hanyou. I hope this ends up with the happiest ending possible(I acknowledge that at least some emotional trauma and political upsets will occur). Once again(I'm pretty sure I already mentioned it) I really hope Inuyasha isn't actually dieing of old age and is just going through a metamorphosis of some sort. Still love the story! Please update more!

The creativity and details that infuse this story are so damn impressive. And I love how the original characters enrich and enhance the story. So many times the OC's are distracting or are filler, but here, they give the story greater depth and atmosphere. I still can't get over how stunned I feel at the intricate and complex detail I just read. I love Atrius, and while I haven't seen much of Retsu and Komar, I find them very cool and interesting characters. Imalia is powerful, energetic, attention grabbing and highly annoying. She needs a to take a chill pill, although I can understand why she's so defensive, offensive, and hyper - she's a woman under siege and constant attack. Love the descriptions of the castle and environs; again, the level of detail just sweeps me off my feet. Atrius detailing his time with Inuyasha in his report to Sesshomaru was hilarious, as is the running commentary from Sess-Youki and Inu-Youki. The history you gave Sesshomaru and Inu-Taisho was amazing. I feel so torn. As much as I wish for peace and healing between the brothers, a part of me still wishes for everlasting pain for Sesshomaru for what he did to Inuyasha. However, if this story can evolve Inuyasha and the reader properly, as it feels great promise in doing so, then I think there will be forgiveness and understanding in the end.

OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!! I am so glad you decided to update when you did because it brought to my attention this indescribably story. I read the first chapter and was blown away. I couldn't believe how well it was written, barring some grammatical errors. I was completely hooked. This is like the only thing I have read all weekend. Even when I was with friends something would be said that reminded me of your story and then I would have this insatiable urge to go read it. As long as I didn't dwell on it fabulousness, i could resist the urge to read it right NOW. But it was hard. About half way through the story, I decided to take a quick look at your profile page. I was deliriously happy to see that you said that you never abandon a story. That you will give it an ending. Because I too have come a crossed some beautifully written stories only to see that it hasn't been updated in two years. When that happens, I am enraged. So it makes me very grateful that you don't plan on doing so. Especially with this story. You are one of those authors that, as I read their work, I hope that they continue writing because they are just so talented I refuse to let them go. It always runs through my mind; "If they can do this much with someone else's work. What would they be able to do with their own?" I mean you obviously changed things so that you can write your own story, but you still have to work within the original authors rules concerning the characters, settings, and forces that play a part in the story,at least to an extent. So what would you be able to do if given complete creative license? This is when i hope that the author has written someone of their own stuff, so I can see if they are just as good when everything concerning the story is their responsibility. I see you have written your own work but I haven't had a chance to look at it because I have been so focused on this story. So I do hope you do get published if you try to go professional with your work because the world deserves to be able to read talent like your's because it far surpasses half, if not more, of what is published now-a-days.

P.S. You might want to consider doing spell check or try to get a Beta/editor because there are quite a few glaring grammatical errors throughout the story. Beta/editor would probably be a good idea because spell check can only do so much.

P.S.S. I am nearly vibrating with anticipation for the next update.

*hears a chorus of angels singing* It's a miracle! You updated! XD But seriously I'm SO happy for this update - but at the same time SO MAD!!!!!! Cliffies are both my best friends as a writer and my worst enemies as a reader. There were some word mixups and grammatical errors, but I still enjoyed it thoroughly ^.^ I would love to be your proofreader... not just cuz I wanna read your updates...*shifty eyes* lol
