The first chapter was very short, and your writing style leaves a lot to be desired. I really dislike the tense you use to tell the story with. It is awkward and puts me off as a reader. Also you need to be careful about capitalization of proper nouns (names).
On a good note you are progressing the story with plot. Keep writing! I want to see what you choose to do with this.
