I just finished reading this and I think I may have read it in the past but I'm not sure. I really enjoyed reading this but, I'm very confused about what happened in the final chapter or 2. The ending completely confused me, it seemed as if everything was going so smoothly until the end. Maybe I need to reread it again because I feel as if I've missed something. While I can understand the idea of Kagome having a dream & it actually being more of a vision but I didn't understand how Sessh could have meant for Kagome to have the dream. I also can't figure out the part where (after Kagome woke from the dream(?)), she then went & met Sessh at the hot spring & they were already intimately involved. I believe it mentioned that her & Sessh had gotten involved since the time she'd committed suicide, but when she went to the hot spring (Sango had asked if she wanted her to join her, right?) & she met Sessh, it seemed as if none of her group was aware of her relationship with him. I don't know, I just can't figure that part out or the part at the end where it seems that the person narrating the story is actually Souta??? I felt kind of shocked by that because it seemed as if aside from the last bit where it alluded to him still seeing Kagome when she returns for supplies now & then, it felt as if it was Kagome's (or someone else in their group?) P.O.V..

I've read this story before but there were things that had me confused. I figured by rereading it I'd figure out what had me confused. I just read the chapter where Inu mates Sango & then tells her they are now mated for life, she asks him about Kikyo being his mate & how Kagome saw him having sex with Kikyo & marking her as his mate. He tells her his version of what happened between him & Kikyo but it doesn't make sense compared to the events described in the 1st 2 chapters-Kagome sensed (& saw) Kikyo's souls stealers & uses her miko senses to follow them to find out why she'd be near their camp. She follows them to a clearing where she finds Inu & Kikyo, she sees them both naked and she hears the moans that only lovers make when they are having sex.She stood there in shock, not knowing what she should do. Kagome wanted to cry, scream, maim & kill, but she stood there the rage building up inside her, until she started to shake from it.Kagome looked at the couple once more then turned away & slowly began to walk towards the camp & that’s when she heard InuYasha professing his undying love to Kikyo,“Oh Kikyo,I love you so much with all of my heart! I will die for you if I have to,my love,My Kikyo.”as he leaned into her neck & bit down drawing blood (Kikyo has blood?)marking Kikyo as his mate for life & whispered in her ear, “You are my mate now Kikyo, never to be apart from each other again, even in death. I love you my, Kikyo.”. He always knew she wanted to drag him to hell & he agreed to go,so I can see him feeling betrayed that she didn't love him but why would he kill her for that? Then in the chapter where Inu & Kagome were arguing & Kagome reminded him that Kikyo is undead & living off a part of Kagome's soul.Inu didn't deny it but I was wondering if Kikyo was dead (again) would Kagome have gotten that part of her soul back & if his mate for life was dead would it hurt, harm, weaken or affect Inu? I can't help wondering but I have to finish reading.
