I've been reading this fanfic ever since the first chapter was posted (about 2 weeks ago?) and I am just getting around to reviewing it now. (I am chronically lazy by nature *nod*).
Alright (this is gonna be long!) - I really like this idea so from the beginning I was partial to this story, but the way you write Inuyasha; I think that's the real pull to this (for me at least) - it's rare to see him written this way. I mean sure, I've seen him curse, rant and rave, act like an idiot, act like an asshole, fight Sesshomaru over ANYTHING (and then after all that shit, bend over for Sessha like a bitch in heat); but I've never seen him have a rational (non-chaotic) side without being completely bi-polar. And I've never seen him have the audacity to talk back to his own FATHER either (for the record, I winced when I read that - I was entirely of the belief that Inuyasha was going to become Inutaisho's [or Inu no Taisho's] personal scratch post. But then I realized, scratch posts are for cats, aren't they? Inuyasha's more likely to become his otousan's chew toy lol). Normally, Inuyasha's always too emotional, too angry, too stupid, too talkative, or in other words - too girly (no offense to anyone) - but, you've managed to level him out a bit, I greatly appreciate that (and hopefully, he doesn't turn into a headcase after he gets mated *begs of you*).
Other Comments (Suggestions): There were a bit of things that puzzled me and some grammatical errors, but they didn't really detract from the reading. With the Glossary words - I'm not sure (because I am not native Japanese) but, I thought yukata was the Japanese equivalent of a house robe or a bath robe? (If I can remember correctly, it literally means 'bath clothing' - but since it is a casual style of dress, it can be worn as a summer kimono.) I don't really have a problem with it, but it threw me for a loop when I didn't see, "haori, inner haori, and hakama" lol (Personally, I call it inner haori, but I'll have to find the actual term one day.) For Hakama, I'm not sure if that was a typo or not but, Japanese words can be singular/plural - so unlike 'pants' (S being used for plurality) the word would be 'hakama' without an S (to mean both 'pant' and 'pants'). Again, I'm not sure if it was a typo, but I saw it twice (both in your fic and in your glossary) so I just wanted to point that out to help you find any typos and what not. As for taiyoukai/daiyoukai - I've seen it either way. (And I laugh everytime I see "Inu no Taisho means lord of the dogs"; I can't stop thinking, "Inu no Taisho - LORD OF THE DANCE!" irish accent and all lmao, I'm insane.) Anyway, I'll be looking for your next chapter! Sorry for the long review!
