I really liked the way you pulled off this pairing and their characterisation. It was believable and fascinating. I never really listened to Metallica but I had to go look up the song on Youtube because the lyrics tied in so well with the story.
My only complaint is that it was too short. :P I hope you write a longer one for the pairing someday; I'd like to see you really explore their relationship.
