Story is an intersting AU. But you need a beta. Some words confused me, "surgant" (did you mean surrogate?): "blotting off" (did you mean bolting?): "Scapper" (did you mean scamper?). No reason why a good story should be so sloppily written. If you don't plan on fixing this story, maybe you can get a beta for your next chapter.
