Disclaimer: I do not own any Inuyasha characters. But

~~~~~Prologue~~~~

A limo
pulled up to Mangetsu Shojo
High school. It was past 7:30 a.m., so students where in their classes.
But people crowded the windows when they saw the one and only Prince Inuyasha
get out of the limo. He glanced around
before looking up and smirking at the girls in the windows; then walked into
the school.

�Oh my god! Did you see him look at
us?!� A prep squealed as her buddies jumped up and
down. They had ignored the teacher to get a look at the prince.
I was
sitting the corner of the classroom watching them, shacking
my head I laughed to myself. �And once again, they interrupt class to see some
glimpse of some guy�� Shacking my head, I yawned but
two hands getting slammed down on my desk caught my attention.

�How dare you! Do you even
know who is here?!� The leader of the group growled at me, her eyes narrowed.
�I don�t
care� it could be a king for all I care! I don�t want to know� plus you�re just
weird to begin with.� I stood up and walked away from them towards the front of
the room, the teacher had been called out so we had no teacher for the time
being. Plopping down next to his desk and stretched. �Mmm� finally I might be
able to get some quiet.�

The class
became quiet as the door opened and in walked the teacher; he held a huge grin
on his face. �Alright!
Settle down kids.� He watched us get back in our seats, glancing at the door he
motioned in someone. �As you all know, Prince Inuyasha has come to our school.
And I have been informed that our class room was picked to let him settle in. I�m
allowing him to pick the student he would like to follow around for the day. He
will go to all your classes�� he stepped out of the way as Inuyasha walked in
looking at us. The girls squealed loudly
making him and me wince in pain. The males glared at him for taking the
attention of their women away from them.
He glanced
around the classroom and caught site of me. He raised an eyebrow seeing my
attention out the window as if daydreaming to be somewhere else at the moment.
A smirk came to his face as he walked to the back and plopped down next to me,
�ill follow this one�� he pointed to me, and poked my shoulder.
�Huh�� I
blinked and shook my head, �what! Oh hell no!� I blinked
as I got a glare from the teacher, �Ehh� sure, I�ll take him� around school
with me�� The teacher was a very scary
man if you didn�t agree with him on things. Sitting down I sighed and put my
head on the desk.
Inuyasha
grinned to himself as he watched this scene, and chuckled to himself when I put
my head on the desk. �Ah come on, it wont be that bad�� He sweat dropped as I
glared deadly at him, �or maybe it will��

First
period finally ended, getting up I grabbed my bag and glanced at Inuyasha. �My
next class is gym, your going to sit in the bleachers and be a good boy�. You
understand.� My eyes narrowed as we walked out of the class. He smiled and
nodded his head a little too innocent. Getting to the gym changing rooms, I
motioned him towards double doors, �go in there and find a seat� we�ll all be
out in a few minutes.� With that I left him and went into the changing room.
Inuyasha
grinned more to himself as he got a slight peek into the girls changing room,
but then went to were I had told him. Walking through the double doors, his
eyes widened seeing how big the gym was. �Wow� this must be twice the size of
the last school�� he said in awe, but caught site of some bleachers and headed
towards them happily. �I can�t wait to see the girls��
An older
guy came out of his office waiting for his students, but caught site of
Inuyasha his eyes went wide. �Prince Inuyasha!� he walked up to him, �Do you
remember me? I�m Rahijo... We met years ago.�
Inuyasha
blinked and his eyes widened, �I didn�t recognize you, you�re growing older��
he smirked making Rahijo laugh.
�Yah well,
humans do grow older faster than hanyous or youkais�� he stated
matter-of-factly. Hearing the locker rooms open he excused himself and stood in
his normal position in the middle of the gym, �Alright!� He blew his whistle to
get their attention, �Make a line in front of me.� Everyone walked into a line
and stood there awaiting his directions. He smirked, �today, in honor of having
no other than Prince Inuyasha himself here, we are going to have our track day
instead of Friday�� He grinned hearing people whine
about that, �Get in your groups�� He blew his whistle again and we all
scrambled to our group.

I felt eyes
on me the whole time I stood there and it was getting very annoying, when Coach
Rahijo blew his whistle for us to get our teams I disappeared into the mass of
people finding my friends standing there waiting for me. Walking up to them I
laughed, �You all ready for this?� I knew I was the fastest out of this group,
but they were still pretty fast for humans.
The
sophomore of the group laughed as her shoulder length red hair swayed with her
movements. �Heh, I am� I�ve been training for this since I got in here� our
final is early!�
�� Your only so excited because you don�t have to take any
exams this Friday, Kiri.� The other member of the group said and grinned, she
stood up and her long black hair swayed down her back. Her ocean jewel eyes
were sparkling as she grinned.
�Haha,
that�s so right!� I said laughing, but stopped as the coach blew the whistle
for us to get ready. Lining up in our line, it was Kiri, Hakumei, and then me.
I glanced over at the bleachers to see Inuyasha grinning like a mad dog, an
annoyed vein appeared on my forehead. �Oh,
I�m so regretting taking him around�� I thought and brought my attention
back to the activity as the whistle was blown to start.
Off ran Kiri first, she circled
around handing the stick off in second. Hakumei took off next right behind the
first place person. She circled around and they handed their sticks to us at
the same time. Grabbing mine, I took off and glanced to my side to see the male
keeping up with me. He smirked at me and began to pull ahead, and grinned and
caught up with him. As we circled the gym, we came up on the finishing line, my
foot slipped on something sending me falling forward. Hearing my name called in
fear, I growled and flipped twice and landed on the male just as he set his
foot on the finish line. We tumbled and rolled a few feet. I laid
on the ground swirly eyed, as the male was holding his sore head that held a
bump.
�That
was unfair Ina!� He said in a whiny voice. Slowly coming out of it, I sat up
and looked around. Laughing a little as my friends ran up, I stood up and
dusted myself off. But the person I least expected to come up to me came up.
�Are
you alright!?� Inuyasha sounded worried as he looked me over.
Raising
an eyebrow I looked at him, �I�m fine. Don�t fret over this. Something always
happens when we run this thing. It was my turn this time.� I shrugged and took
a step but bit my lip in pain as pain soared through my leg. Showing no pain, I
walked towards the locker room to get changed.
Inuyasha
watched me go; he didn�t know how dangerous gym could be. He looked at Kiri and
Hakumei, �You know her pretty good right?�
Kiri
blinked and smiled at him nodding, �Hai! I�ve been her friend since grade
school.� She looked him up and down, �you know you�re hotter in person�� she
smiled and he grinned. She watched him head out of the gym to wait for me. �Ah
Ina, your so lucky� don�t be an idiot and throw this
chance away�� everyone went back to the locker rooms to change for their next
class.

I stuffed
my gym cloths back in the locker I was assigned, slamming it shut I sighed and
rested my forehead on the cool metal. �Why did this have to happen to me. I was fine all by myself, and now I�m stuck with the
royal pain in the ass for the day� can it get any worse than it is right now��
I muttered and put a little pressure on my foot and growled in pain, �Damn, I
forgot about that!� Hearing everyone else coming in I limped to the bathroom to
check on my foot.
Kiri came
up to me looking worried, �that looks bad Ina, you sure you wanna walk around
the rest of the day?� she saw my black and blue ankle.
Smiling up
to I laughed, �You know I can handle it. I�m a big girl. Don�t worry about me,
I don�t break easily.� Getting up I walked out of the locker room closing the
door.
She watched
me leave, her eyes saddened and a sad smile on her face as she remembered
something that happened when we were kids. �I know you don�t�� she went to
change since they didn�t have long till the bell rang.

Inuyasha�s
ears twitched hearing the door open and I came out limping a little, he still
looked worried, �are you alright? I can carry you if yo-� I
cut him off.
�I�m fine!
I don�t need anyone�s help! I�m capable of doing things on my own!� I snapped
and walked down the hallway. I had a rough past, so I hardly like to depend on
anyone or anything. He watched me leave and sighed walking behind me towards
the next period.

The day
flew by after that, the last period of the day was about the let out. Glancing
at the clock, I counted the seconds till I was free of this burden I was stuck
with all day. Inuyasha kept glancing at me, and then around the room and all
the girls trying to get his attention. The bell rang sending everyone into a
frizzle to get out of the boring school and home for the weekend.
I stood up slowly and glanced at
him, �Well I guess your time here is over�� I said flatly and grabbed my bag
from under my desk. Standing up again, I saw a note in his hand.
�Here,
take this. Think of it as a thank you for putting up with me all day.� He
grinned and when I took it he walked out of the room and towards the limo, with
much trouble from the crowd of girls around him, to go home.
I
looked at the note confused, but then shrugged sticking it in my bag walking out
and down the halls. �Oh well� ill look at it later.�
Getting to the parking lot, I saw Kiri waiting at her motorcycle for me. �Sorry
it took so long.� I laughed grabbing the extra helmet and put it on.
�Ah
it�s alright; you had to get rid of the hottie� I fully understand.� She
laughed patting my shoulder and put on her helmet getting on. I growled low but
got on after her and she started it and we headed back to the apartment complex
we lived in.

Inuyasha
had managed to make it to his limo barely, sighing he took a few breaths. �Man,
women are scary when they are after you�� he muttered to no one.
�Hello
brother.� Sesshomaru put down his glass looking at Inuyasha then glanced at the
driver nodding his head for him to go. The limo began to move. He looked back
at Inuyasha, �Tell me, how was your school day at this
high school?�
Inuyasha
grinned, �It was fun. I followed around a girl that was so stubborn.� He
laughed, �But other than that, it went really well.�
�I trust it
you found the final one�� his voice was serious.
Inuyasha
nodded, �yah, I gave it to her before I left. So now� it�s up to them if they
show or not�� he looked out the window as they past buildings. His eyes widened
seeing a motorcycle pass with Kiri and me on it. �Huh? I didn�t know they rode
together!� He opened the window to get a better view of us ahead of them. A red
light hit and we stopped, pulling up next to us he laughed. �Hey!�
I glanced
over and my eyes widened. He said something but I could hardly hear it over the
roar of the engine. The light turned green and we sped off. Inuyasha watched us
leave and sat back closing the window.

Stopping
the bike in front of a nice complex we took off our helmets. I got off and
readjusted my bag. �Thanks for the lift Kiri� but I got things I need to do.�
With that I walked into the complex and got in an elevator going up to the
fourth floor. Getting to the fourth floor, I stepped out and went to my room.
Walking in I threw my bag on my sofa and went to take a shower. My sore ankle
needed some relieve at the moment.
Walking to
the bathroom, I turned on the water all the way it could go. Turning on the
heater I walked out and closed the door to keep in the heat. �It�ll take a few
to heat up�� I muttered to myself as I went and got a change of cloths putting
it on my bed. As I walked by my answering machine I saw some messages on it.
Blinking I pressed play.
�Message one�Hello, this is Toshijo from Gin-Yuki University. Wee would like to tell you that you have been accepted into our
school and if you would please give us a call�� I skipped to the next
message.
�Message two� Ina, it�s me. Your father.� My eyes went wide in fear hearing his cold
voice. �I know you�re only my half
daughter, but we need you to come back when ever you get the chance to. Your
mother is sick and I can�t ta-� I
hit the delete button growling. �How dare him! Think I would go back after all
the shit he did to me! I don�t care if my mother died! It�s her fault I was
born in the first place! She had to go sleep with some guy that was a youkai!!�
Shacking my head, I forgot about that and grabbed my
cloths heading towards the bath.

An hour
later, I stretched coming out of the bathroom relaxed. �Ah man, just what the
doctor ordered.� I limped to the sofa were I threw my bag. Grabbing it I went
through it until I found the note Inuyasha gave me. �I wonder what this could
be.� Opening it, I noticed $5,000 in cash sitting in the note. My eyes widened
seeing the money, but saw writing behind it. Putting the cash in front of me I
read the note.
Dear Ina,

I know you don�t like me very much.
But to be honest, I find you very intriguing. I am turning 18 soon and must
find a mate by my birthday. My father, before he passed away, had told me that
I would search for 6 maidens that I had an attraction to and give them this
note stating that they were to come to the castle for eight months to learn how
to act royal. After the eight months time on my birthday, I will chose the
bride I wish, while the others would be put to work somewhere else in the
castle or town. I really wish you take up this chance. I hope to see you there.
Meet me at the castle on January 23. Your normal housing expensives will be
paid for by us, so do not worry about rent or nothing.
