Disclaimer: I do not own InuYasha, nor make money from this story. |
A/N: Okay, so let’s see... This fic is almost qualified to be considered an answer to Rilandina’s challenge. Emphasis on the “almost” cause I don’t think this is quite what she had in mind (though that’s to be expected considering this wasn’t actually written in response to her challenge).
Anyway, she wanted a rape and this is... sort of. It’s more of a “consensual under duress” kinda situation, but really that’s a pretty damn fine line in you ask me.
And it is a one-shot btw.
DISCLAIMER: I DON’T OWN INUYASHA! Not the mange not the anime nor any of the characters included in either. Believe me, if I did, things would probably be very different... ^_^ They all belong to Rumiko Takahashi, Sunrise, VIZ and all those other people who make them, not me. And they’re the only one’s making any money off of Inuyasha, so...
Warnings: As I said, there is consensual under duress (essentially rape), Finger-fucking, Anal, D/s, Angst (wouldn’t write it if there wasn’t ^_^), probably some language, Humil, a bit of sadism, MaleDom, Yaoi, Slash, Shonen-ai and whatever other names they’ve invented for M/M, and that’s about it.
Don’t know what any of the above warnings mean? Go find out before you continue. I’m not gonna be blamed if you fry your eyes out.
Okay, have I got everything covered? Then it’s time to give you the story. ^_^

Was it worth it?
Inuyasha grunted in pain as one of the mangled roots that lined the forest floor caught around his foot, making him lose his balance and fall forward to his hands and knees with a soft cry of surprise.
His body jarred painfully as his flung out arms connected with the hard ground, and another grunt slipped past his lips, more out of annoyance than pain really.
Dammit, he hated coming to places like this.
Dark, deep, secluded spots in the middle of some godforsaken forest in who the hell knew where. But he didn’t have much of a choice in the matter really. Places like these were the only one’s he could be certain his friends wouldn’t find him. Because he didn’t want them to see what happened when he went off on his “late night meanderings.”
Glaring down at the damp, darkened earth before him, Inuyasha made a move to push himself up, only to freeze a moment later at the sound of a voice-- silky and smooth and wrapping around him like the thick miasma that clung to the voice’s owner.
‘So, Inuyasha. You came.’
‘Naraku.’ The name slipped past the silver-haired hanyou's lips in the form of a growl, and laced with more malevolence and hate than a myriad of death-threats or insults.
Stiffly, Inuyasha made to continue rising up to his feet to face his assailant, only to stop once again when he felt a hand on the back of his skull, holding him down. ‘No. Stay like that. It is much more fitting a being of your station.’ That silky voice murmured, much too close for Inuyasha’s liking. ‘And it just makes what we are going to do that much easier for me.’
Inuyasha’s hackles rose, and his claws cracked against the earth at both the insult and the mention of what was about to come, but he remained as he was commanded to-- situated on his hands and knees on the forest floor, with that monster hovering somewhere behind him.
The faint whisper of clothing falling made Inuyasha tense, his entire being going ridged as cool hands came to run over his vulnerable back. Pale and deadly fingers traced over every protrusion his spine made through the barrier of cloth, before coming to rest on the inuhanyou’s hips, where they lightly began teasing the waist of his hakama.
Inuyasha’s breathing quickened as he fought down his revulsion and panic at the feel of that bastard touching him, and he swallowed thickly-- trying to block out his intense need to struggle and fight when he felt his clothes being drawn away from his body.
He couldn’t fight.
Fighting would only anger Naraku.
And if Naraku was angry with him-- if he became disappointed and decided to back out of the deal they had made-- then Inuyasha could only imagine the consequences.
He had seen Naraku’s work first hand after all, hideous and treacherous as it was-- played out before his eyes in the form of Kikyo’s betrayal and their lives falling apart. And all that damage had come before Naraku had even come into contact with the jewel. Now that the kumo had the power of the Shikon no Tama behind him, kami only knew what kind of powers he possessed. And Inuyasha knew that, despite how Naraku fought them all in battle, the onyx-haired half-breed was really only giving them a taste of his power. Or the power the Shikon jewel forged for him, anyway.
None of his friends seemed to understand this.
They thought that, when they went charging blindly into battle the way they always did against the half-demon, there was actually some hope of them standing a chance.
Inuyasha mentally scoffed at the idea, and continued to ignore the hands tracing their way along his sides, over his stomach and up towards his chest-- pinching his nipples in a way meant to hurt, not pleasure.
Naraku was powerful.
As much as Inuyasha loathed to admit it, the half-demon had power-- more power than he could ever hope to achieve himself without the Shikon no Tama. And, as Naraku had warned them before, his powers only continued to grow the longer they were allowed to fester.
The only person he thought actually had some grasp on just how powerful Naraku could be, other than himself, was Sesshomaru. Because his brother had the same sort of power and cunning as Naraku. The only real difference was, Sesshomaru would never stoop to stealing that power from such an unworthy object as the Shikon jewel; and, every once in a while, Sesshomaru almost appeared as though he had some form of conscience and honour.
And it might explain why his brother was taking so damn long in his efforts to kill Naraku.
Inuyasha had been on the brunt end of Sesshomaru’s attacks, and he knew that his brother had held back a good deal when fighting him. Why? Who the hell knew. He never had any idea why Sesshomaru did anything, and that was no different.
Yet it didn’t change the fact that, in a battle where neither demon held themselves back, Sesshomaru probably could outmatch Naraku. It might be a bit difficult for the full-blooded youkai he called brother, but Inuyasha did believe he could do it. So he figured, Sesshomaru was waiting. Waiting for the exact right time and the exact right place to destroy the hanyou. Because a battle of the proportions that one would definitely reach couldn’t be done within the confines of a castle wall, or really any immediate form of civilization.
It would be too disastrous and chaotic. Not to mention clean-up afterward would be a nightmare.
So that could be Sesshomaru’s reason for not defeating the kumo.
Inuyasha, however, had a different reason.
He couldn’t defeat Naraku.
Even with the Tetsusaiga-- even with all his training and experience and strength and cunning-- he was not strong enough to take the half-demon on. At least, not if he wanted to come out the winner. In a fair fight, he had no doubt that he could do it-- even without Tetsusaiga-- but when Naraku had the Shikon no Tama backing him... Inuyasha didn’t stand a chance.
And that was why he was here.
Because none of his friends fully understood the capacity of the jewel’s power. They underestimated it and, in turn, underestimated Naraku. They thought that they could defeat the kumo.
But Inuyasha knew better.
And, because of that... because he was the only one in their group who knew better--because he was the one who had started this whole mess to begin with-- it was his job to protect them.
And, unfortunately for him, other than Tetsusaiga he had very little of value to offer Naraku; and even the blade was useless when it came right down to it, because Naraku would rather rip his own heart out than be attached to or found protecting a human. Something he had proven many times over.
Of course, it turned out that this didn’t matter anyway.
Because Naraku hadn’t wanted Tetsusaiga.
What good was a blade that wouldn’t transform for him, and that he had no hope of mastering?
No.
Naraku had let him keep his father’s precious fang, while he, instead, took something much more valuable.
Inuyasha’s body stiffened and wriggled in discomfort, a low gasp tearing free from the prison of his lips as he felt a saliva-slickened finger working it’s way inside of him. Gooseflesh spread over his body as he shifted uncomfortably at the strange sensation of being invaded.
It didn’t hurt, necessarily, but it sure as hell didn’t feel good.
The potentially lethal appendage drew back until it was almost all the way out of him, before pushing back in-- this time joined by a second finger, which it conspired together with to stretch and prepare him for what was to come.
Again Inuyasha was given a moment to wriggle around and attempt to adjust, before the fingers drew back and repeated the previous actions, dragging in a third. Okay, now it was beginning to borderline on pain. But Inuyasha wasn’t going to complain. After all, Naraku didn’t have to prepare him. The demon could just take him without wasting the time and effort on such trivial matters. Inuyasha was actually relieved that the kumo had bothered with it at all... because he remembered the times when Naraku hadn’t bothered, and they were, to him, nothing more than a haze of blood and pain.
The fingers continued in their rhythm, pulling out slowly, and then pushing back in-- each new thrust using a bit more force than the one before, going a bit deeper, until, after several minutes of discomfort, they brushed against something inside Inuyasha.
The inuhanyou stiffened in surprise as a small gasp escaped his lips at the unexepected surge of pleasure, while behind him he felt Naraku pause. The fingers repeated the motion of the last thrust-- this time pressing a bit harder against that spot-- and a small whimper escaped Inuyasha despite his best efforts to keep it locked inside.
He half expected some taunt to be thrown at him over this lack of control on his part. They always were, after all, whenever Naraku managed to evoke a (unwilling) reaction in him, but it seemed the half-demon was too caught up in what he was doing to let out anything more than a chuckle and giving a particularly harsh shove against that spot.
Inuyasha bit his lip and held back the moan that longed to escape at that, and to keep down the bile that threatened to rise from the feeling. The occasional jolts of pleasure Naraku would sometimes bring him when doing this, while making it easier for his body, only caused Inuyasha more mental agony, and he silently prayed that Naraku wouldn’t bother trying to elicit a reaction from him.
He continued to endure the torture Naraku was inflicting on him for several minutes longer, by the end of which his breathing was coming in thick, heavy gasps, and his arms were trembling in their effort to keep him upright and stop his face from burying itself in the ground. Then, finally, Naraku withdrew, leaving Inuyasha hunched up and shivering before him.
Inuyasha heard and felt Naraku moving around behind him then-- taking hold of his hips and positioning himself at his stretched entrance, and he barely held back the instinctive urge to tense up against the intrusion, knowing it would only hurt more if he did so.
For several long moments nothing happened. Naraku remained still and silent behind him, one hand firmly latched onto his thin hip; his hard length still position to enter the silver-haired hybrid. Inuyasha’s breathing all but stopped as dread washed through him, and his heart skipped several beats from the terror-filled anticipating racing through him.
Dammit, he hated it when Naraku did this... toying with him... never letting him know when exactly to brace himself... never letting him know when he was going to--
A sharp, pain-filled cry fled from Inuyasha, echoing harshly in the uncaring night that surrounded them as, without warning, Naraku gave one violent, painful thrust inside of him-- burying his length to the hilt within Inuyasha’s abused entrance.
Nails raked into the inu’s hip as shudders travelled up both frames-- one from the pain, the other from the pleasure-- and Inuyasha emitted a small, tight whine from the feel of it.
He wasn’t given long to adjust to it though. Within moments of entering him, Naraku began to pull back, drawing himself out of the abused hanyou, before roughly forcing himself back inside, forcing more cries from Inuyasha’s throat as the tortured half-breed fought desperately to keep his arms from collapsing beneath the force of it.
A hand came around in front of Inuyasha’s face, and Naraku pressed the three fingers that had been inside Inuyasha against the hanyou’s lips, and letting out the sharp command to “suck” on a pleasure-filled grunt.
Inuyasha, not for the last time that night, forced his abhorrence down again, and instead allowed his trembling lips to part-- taking the appendages within his mouth, and sucking them until they were coated in a thick cocoon of saliva.
Behind him, Naraku chuckled, as he resumed thrusting, slowly finding and building a rhythm for himself.
Removing his fingers from Inuyasha‘s mouth, the kumo leaned forward until he was mounted on top of the hanyou and could have access to his feline-like ears. ‘Look at you, Inuyasha. A perfect little whore.’ He murmured into one of the silky appendages, his voice a low hiss that sent shudders along the inu’s spine as he allowed his tongue to trail out and trace the sensitive edge, causing the furry triangle to flatten against Inuyasha’s skull.
A sharp nip was placed on said appendage, followed by a particularly harsh thrust inside of the younger hanyou, and Inuyasha yelped loudly in surprise as pain, his arms finally giving out beneath him and forcing him down toward the forest floor, though the hands securely wrapped around his hips prevented his legs from following suit. He barely caught himself in time on his elbows to avoid smacking his face into the ground.
Naraku never slowed nor lost his rhythm.
The kumo pulled back a little so he was again kneeling and not slumped along Inuyasha’s back-- his hands forcing Inuyasha’s body back and onto him-- as he continued to murmur his hateful words to the tortured inu.
‘Imagine Inuyasha, all this pain for a few weak mortals...’ He said, loud enough to for Inuyasha to hear quite clearly despite the difficult position and the small grunts fleeing the inuhanyou’s throat from the gradually increasing speed and force of the thrusting. ‘All because you were foolish enough to love them... Tell me, Inuyasha, do you think they would do the same for you?’
Inuyasha’s teeth sank deeply into his arm in an attempt to stifle his own cries of pain as he fought stubbornly to ignore the kumo’s words that were like acid being dripped slowly and agonizingly over his heart, despite the fact that he knew they weren’t true. He knew they weren’t. They couldn’t be. Sure they all acted like he was a complete incompetent imbecile some of the time, but, if it came down to it, he was sure they’d make the same sacrifice... wouldn’t they?
Inuyasha mentally growled and shoved the thought away. What did it matter anyway? Whether they would or they wouldn’t, he didn’t care, because, either way, he couldn’t let them. He was the strongest in their group, and this was hard enough for him to endure... he wouldn’t allow them to be hurt this way...
‘I hope so, Inuyasha. This is quite the sacrifice you’ve made for them, after all. I doubt they even know how much you’re really doing for them.’ A hand slipped down into his hair, yanking roughly and forcing a whimper of disapproval from his throat as he was pulled up until he was kneeling in front of Naraku, his head yanked back to rest on the kumo’s shoulder as golden eyes were forced to meet and lock with crimson, even as Naraku asked the question Inuyasha had secretly been praying he wouldn’t ask.
‘I wonder... is it really worth it?’
Pain-- both mental and physical-- flooded through Inuyasha as the question landed heavily on his ears, even as Naraku gave one final, horrible thrust, before releasing his essence deep within Inuyasha’s torn body.
Was it worth it?
Naraku continued to force Inuyasha to meet his eyes a moment longer, before slowly, almost casually releasing the hanyou-- allowing Inuyasha to fall, broken back onto the leaf-strewn floor, his silver-crested head connecting harshly with one of the mangled roots that had helped instigate the beginning of this particular fiasco, and sending a small flash of white spiralling in front of his vision.
Was it worth it?
The demon behind him pulled out slowly, dragging a thin strand of semen mixed with blood out over Inuyasha’s legs as a mixture of the same began leaking in a sickening mess down between the hanyou’s legs.
Was it worth it?
A few harsh words were muttered at Inuyasha, a vague promise to leave his companions alone for the time being, and then Naraku was gone-- vanishing back into the darkness as silent and stealthily as he had come, leaving Inuyasha broken and bleed and lost on the forest floor.
Black was seeping the edges of his vision as cold swept through him-- filling him with a strange, icy hollowness that belied the numbness that had taken over his being.
Stiffly Inuyasha rose to his feet and began to move about collecting his clothes, pushing away the protests his body was making for the time being as he contemplated Naraku’s word. The very words he had secretly been asking himself since all this mess had begun.
Because, really, when he thought about it... when he thought about the ache and the pain and the blood and the numbness and the rage and the loneliness and the... helplessness that accompanied each of these encounters he had with Naraku, he couldn’t see how it could possibly be worth it. What could be so important to him that he would endure this ultimate form of torture and abuse in the hopes of saving it and keeping it around a little longer? Could there be anything that was worth it?
And the first answer that immediately came to mind, much to his surprise, was no.
No.
There wasn’t anything.
Nothing could be worth laying his very soul out to be torn into pieces by this monster. Nothing.
He was certain.
But then...
Images of Kagome and Miroku and Sango and Shippo and Kirara filled his vision-- blocking out any and every thing else around him, filling him with emotion as he watched them-- watched them fight, watched them battle, watched them talk, watched them eat, watched them sleep, watched them cry, watched them laugh... and myriads of feelings he couldn’t even begin to name rose up within him at the sight-- threatening to suffocate what was left of his heart in emotion as he continued to watch them.
He blinked, and then suddenly everything was gone. There was no Kagome. No Miroku or Sango or Shippo, or even Kirara. He was alone again in the middle of the forest, sore, tired, and completely empty.
Sighing softly and pushing back the frustration and sadness, Inuyasha finished pulling on his fire-rat robes, grimacing faintly at their scent. He would likely need to bathe before he went back, or else even the ningens with their weak senses would be able to pick up on something peculiar about his scent.
Turning, Inuyasha cast one last glance in the direction Naraku had gone-- almost as if making sure the half-breed really was gone-- before moving and disappearing into the forest, his thoughts still in a whirl as he worked to patch himself back together enough for when he had to face the others.
And still that one question rang through his head.
Was it worth it?
Inuyasha contemplated this a moment more, before shaking his head and pushing it away.
Because, really, there was only one answer to that question.
Yes.
If it wasn’t worth it, he never would have taken Naraku up on his offer in the first place. If it wasn’t worth it, Inuyasha wouldn’t even make an attempt to keep the demon satisfied and complacent while he ran around trying to become strong enough to defeat him, and keep his friends hopes alive. If it wasn’t worth it, he wouldn’t bother coming back time and time again.
And, for some reason, Inuyasha felt a bit more at ease with that answer.
It was a logical enough reason and... it was right.
And he’d have to remember that for the next time Naraku, or, hell, anyone asked him if it was really worth his effort to continue trailing after and protecting a pack of ningens.
Despite how much suffering he had to endure to keep them alive... they were everything to them.
And, if enduring the libido of some psychotic half-demon was the price he had to pay to keep them alive a little bit longer, than so be it.
Because they were worth it. Every single one of them.

Glossary
Hanyou - Half-demon
Inuhanyou - Essentially I think this is half-demon dog. Or dog half-demon. Either way.
Hakama - The “pants” we see pretty much all the guys on the show wearing (though women wear them as well)
Kumo - Spider/Cloud. In this case I was using the first meaning.
Shikon no Tama - (Okay, you should know what this is, but in case you don’t) The jewel of four souls (what everybody on the show is running around after. Except Sesshomaru. He seems to be the only one who doesn‘t want it.)
Kami - Basically it means God. A more respectful term would be “Kami-sama”
Youkai - Demon
Tetsusaiga - Inuyasha’s sword. Some people don’t use this spelling and get confused when I spell it like that, so I figure might as well be safe and include it down here. ^_^
Inu - Dog
Owari - End (as in the end of a story/movie)

A/N: Well as usual I’m not entirely satisfied with the ending, but w/e. The entire thing didn’t really come out at all like I had planned...
Anyway, don’t be afraid to leave a review! I don’t mind flames too much either (though I’d really prefer the reviews ^_^) but any and all rips will be maimed and destroyed. ^_^
