  A/N: This one hit me out of the blue tonight and I just had to type it up. Thank the long hours of little sleep again. XD This is an AU one shot.
  

  
  Why Bankotsu Hates Hospitals:

  Bankotsu woke up with a pounding headache. His mouth felt like a dried up lake bed. He grimaced and tried to rub his temples, only to find his arms restrained to the hospital bed. 'What the hell?'

  His eyes shot wide open and he tried to kick his feet. He grit his teeth and ignored the sharp pain coming from the quarter-sized large red spot on the back of his left shoulder blade.

  "Somebody better untie me, this minute!"

  He thrashed against the restraints and then shivered when the cool air hit his bare skin. He looked down to see his paper gown wide open. 'Why the hell am I tied spread eagle and why is my gown open?' He tried to kick free, but the straps only cut deeper into his skin.

  "Now, now Mr. Ryuujin, just settle down. I'd hate to have to sedate you again, especially since we're almost finished."

  Bankotsu's eyes widened as a nurse approached his bedside holding a bucket of steamy water. "Are you nuts? Get that shit away from me!" He jerked against the thick straps, but to his utter dismay they held fast.

  'Somebody better get in here and get this psycho away from me before I kill her.' His eyes narrowed at the woman and his nostrils flared. "Stay away from me, you crazy bitch!"

  She held the water above him and clucked her tongue. "I'm only following the doctor's orders. Now hold still."

  His face paled. 'The doctor's orders?'  He balled his hands into tight fists turning his knuckles white. He watched with abject horror as she lowered the bucket to hover just a few inches over his crotch. 'Are you fucking kidding me?' He froze in place as the heat from the bucket hit his bare skin. He inhaled sharply and held his breath. 'Why would the doctor order this done to me?'

  Just before she could turn the bucket over, the doctor burst through the door and pulled the water away from her. "No!"

  The doctor placed the bucket on a roll in cart and shook his head frowning. "I said prick his boil. Not boil his prick."

  "Oh," The nurse twirled a strand of blonde hair around her finger and blew a bubble with her gum. She sent Bankotsu a sheepish look. "Sorry."

  Bankotsu bottled upright in his bed with eyes wide as saucers. His shaky hand wiped the sweat from his forehead. His heart raced and he jerked a hand through his sweat covered bangs.

  He snorted. 'That is the last time I ever let a blonde anywhere near me.' He shuddered and hung his head trying to regain his normal breathing.

  Kagome walked out of the bathroom and took in his pale complexion. "Again, eh?" She slowly walked over to him and wrapped her arms around him. "You okay Ban?"

  He shakily wrapped his strong arms around her waist. He closed his eyes and buried his face against her breasts. "No more hospitals, ever." He shivered and slightly tightened his hold on her waist, pressing close against her.

  'It's a good thing I decided not to dye my hair blonde.' Kagome bit her bottom lip and rubbed his back, holding him close to her. "You're safe Ban."

  She felt him relax against her with a slow sigh.
