"That's it Rin. Come at me."
Sesshomaru sat high in a tree watching the scene play out below. Smug pride welled up in his heart as Rin avoided Kohaku's strike and knocked his legs out from under him. When the decision had been made to train Rin as a taijiya he hadn't been too happy about it but she had made him see reason and he had relented. Although there had been very few youkai since the destruction of the Shikon no Tama, she should be able to defned herself if the need arose.
"Kohaku-kun, maybe you need a few extra lessons from Sango-chan. I seem to say, well, how did InuYasha put it... Oh yeah, handing you your ass." She laughed.
Knowing none of the humans would ever be able to see him from this distance, Sesshomaru allowed the corner of his mouth to raise in the slightest of smiles. Rin was taunting the boy, trying to push him into coming after her. As human males always do, Kohaku took the bait. "Hn. Baka male." Once again, Rin brought him to the ground and ran a few steps back laughing.
Kohaku landed once again on his ass and couldn't help but smile at Rin running away from him. She wasn't even giving him a chance to counter attack. Smart girl, he thought. Although if he were being honest with himself, he hadn't been focused on today's training since he had seen Rin coming down the hill in the taijiya outfit that his sister and the Lady Kagome had made for her. As with all demon slayer armour, Rin's was a solid black, skin-tight body suit trimmed in her signature orange color. The demon bone armour plates would take some time to complete as his sister had children to take care of now. The plates were not needed immediatly anyway, as Rin had to first get used to moving without the interference of her kimono. However, it was a large distraction for him. All of her lucious curves were like a feast for his eyes and he was a starving man.
Lost in his own heated thoughts, Rin once again came back and kicked him just behind his left knee, using just enough force to bring him to the ground. She ran away when he tried to reach for her leg and almost stumbled when her laughter became hysterical. Kohaku knew that it was a dirty trick and that there would be Hell to pay if Sesshomaru ever found out but it was a small price for a few moments of Rin in his arms. He let out a false grunt of pain and grabbed at his knee."Agh... Rin, I think you broke my knee."
Rin stopped laughing the second she heard Kohaku's cry and abruptly started to run back towards him. She had never actually meant to hurt him, cause a little discomfort maybe, but not an actual injury. She thought tha she had correctly calculated the force needed to simply knock him over. One of the first things Kohaku had taught her was how to read weaknesses and how much energy it would take to beat them. He had always said " Only ever expell enough energy to bring your opponent to the ground. Then use your weapon to deliver the final blow." She had not yet been gifted a weapon so she had worked very hard on being able to specifically bring her opponent to the ground. As a matter of fact, she had mastered it, even practicing with InuYasha once. Where the hell did I go wrong? Lost in her own thoughts, Rin hadn't noticed that Kohaku was no longer in fron of her on the ground, but flipping in the air to land just behind her.
Rin was suddenly pulled to a stop as her wrists were encircled by strong callosed hands, pinning them against her hips. "Worried about me Rin?" She could practically hear the cocky smile in his voice and it was pissing her off. The bastard had actualy tricked her. "That was a mean trick, Kohaku." Her greatest weakness had always been a soft heart and he of all people, had used it against her.
Kohaku could hear the hurt and dissapointment in her voice and he pulled her arms to cross in front of her chest bringing her back flush against him. "Gomen ne, Rin. I did not mean to hurt your feelings. I did this only as an excuse to get closer to you."
At his revelation, Rin let her anger go and she pressed back into him. She felt Kohaku stiffen and it made her smile. She had had some suspicions about how he felt about her and his reaction had only confirmed it."Kohaku."
"Rin." Her name was but a breath upon his lips as they brushed ever so lightly against her ear, and wen they pressed against the expossed skin of her throat heat flooded her body.
Kohaku hadn't been able to resist the sweet temptation that was his Rin. When she had tilted her head to allow him access to her expossed flesh, probably without even realizing it, it had been all the permission he had needed.
