Chapter 10- How Could You

"When is he coming then?" Inuyasha asked, he didn't want to stay in the Eastern Lord's presence for too long, 'he freaks me out' he thought grimly.
"Tomorrow at noon," came Touga's shocking reply.
Present...
The slender faces of Touga's study grimed unpleasantly, "Why so soon my lord? The mating ceremony is still 11 days apart," Miroku brought up. Touga set crossed his fingers together and set his hands on the table, "He's threatened to engage in war with the Western Lands if the mating ceremony is not pushed up to 2 days." Touga sighed, "My friends, attend to your duties. I wish to be alone."
"Father, I don't think Sesshoumaru would be very happy about this," Inuyasha mumbled and set off to his room, the others bowed respectfully to their lord and exited the room as well, however Miroku stayed.
"Miroku, what is it that you need?" Touga noticed his loyal healer and advisor remained in the room.
"It's about your son, my lord. I agree with Inuyasha-sama, Sesshoumaru will not be pleased knowing that his arranged marriage will be pushed up," Miroku walked to where the fur pelts lay on the floor and sat on it with his legs crossed, "After all, he was very crossed when he heard you've arranged this marriage not many months ago."
Touga sighed and sat in his study's chair, "I know Miroku, I'm afraid he's taken a liking to the human girl he's brought home."
Miroku chuckled, "my lord, you are very wrong." Touga looked up with an arched eyebrow, "Am I now Miroku?" He nodded and began to head for the door, "I'm afraid Prince Sesshoumaru has taken a liking to her much deeper than you think, I'd say," Miroku stopped and thought about which word to use and chuckled, "I think this, Kagome Higurashi, the human girl we speak of, is much more than we think she is." Miroku excused himself and left to the Healer's corridor once more.
Touga stayed still in his chair, "Much more than we think she is," he repeated and growled, "what does he mean by that?"

Sesshoumaru ordered a servant to retrieve a kimono for Kagome and watched over her closely as the servant dressed her. 'Even in her sleep she looks beautiful,' he admired. When the servant was finished, he dismissed her.
Kagome stirred softly in her sleep and opened her eyes lazily, 'was it a dream?' she thought as the events from few hours earlier cleared the fog in her head. She arched her head up slightly to peek around the room, she gasped softly when she saw Sesshoumaru holding her hand in his.
"Kagome," Sesshoumaru smiled lightly to his sleeping beauty. Kagome blushed and tried to sit up, "No, you will rest" Sesshoumaru commanded. Kagome narrowed her eyebrows at her prince and turned her head away, "No, Sesshoumaru-sama. I refuse to let you command me any longer. I am my own self, and you are not my owner," Kagome jerked her hands back to her person as attempted to get out of bed, 'He's to be married to the daughter of the Eastern Lord, I don't want to be his mistress.' A lone tear of sorrow slipped down her cheeks as she stumbled on her feet.
"Did Naraku tell you something?" Sesshoumaru brought up, he was shocked Kagome would refuse and defy him. Kagome shook her head, and gripped on to sturdy objects that lead a path to the door, "Then why are you defying this Sesshoumaru?" he growled out and grabbed her wrist roughly and jerked her body to his. Kagome yelped in surprise and mild pain as she felt the impact of his well built chest, "No reason Sesshoumaru-sama. I must leave," Kagome tried to wiggle her wrist of his grasp, but the more she tried the tighter he held on.
"You will explain to us, why you have defied this Sesshoumaru," he grounded out and lowered his face a few inches away from hers. Kagome bit back her anger as best as she could,
"Sesshoumaru-sama, you are to be wed to the Eastern Lord's daughter soon, I for one will not be your mistress," Kagome attempted to break free of his grasp once more.
"You belong to ME, You will not go as you please without my consent and You WILL report to me everything that you do," Sesshoumaru barked out in anger when he realized what she said was true, 'She only served us to save her father" he thought dejectedly.
Kagome felt her anger well up, "Sesshoumaru-sama," she spat out, "I do not belong to YOU, I have no mark on my body that bears a sign saying I am your property." Kagome forcefully hauled her wrist back and ignored the pain when Sesshoumaru's sharp nails left several clawed marks that drew blood. Sesshoumaru's eyes seeped crimson,
"If it's a mark you want to see, then you shall have it," his youkai roared. Kagome dashed for the door but wasn't fast enough when Sesshoumaru's beast slammed the door shut and erected a barrier around the room, "Come," he said. Kagome shook her head and willed herself to stay clear from the beast but her body won't budge.
"Sesshoumaru-sama," she whimpered out hoping to reach him, the beast laughed, "No my dear, sweet Kagome. You've requested to see our mark upon your body, so you shall have it," the beast lunged after Kagome and slammed her hard on the bed.
--- Okay guys, time to skip this section if you shouldn't be reading this---
"Sesshoumaru-sama! Please stop," she screeched as Sesshoumaru ripped off the layers of her kimono. Sesshoumaru's youkai remained silent except for the growls which vibrated off his throat. Kagome's pulse quickened in anxiety and fear when she knew what he was going to do to her, adrenaline rushed into her head causing her to be light-headed and her vision began to swim around in her eyes.
"Sesshoumaru please stop," she sobbed, her tears on the verge of falling she prayed to Kami someone will prevent this, 'He saved me from the thieves and yet now he's doing what they have left off.' Sesshoumaru smirked and gripped her wrists and pushed it above her head, "No, you've denied us" he said as he removed his bottoms skillfully and threw it on the floor not caring where it lands. The tears Kagome held back streamed freely from her eyes as Sesshoumaru forcefully spread her legs apart.
"Sesshoumaru please," she cried but she knew it was inevitable now, though she may not be a virgin any longer, no girl would want to be raped. Kagome cried out in pain as Sesshoumaru entered her warmth roughly, Kagome struggled to pull her her arms down but Sesshoumaru kept a tight grip on her wrists. He forcefully pounded into her drawing blood from the force and roughness of his thrusts. With each movement Kagome arched her back in pain and her cries were unheard as the barrier kept the noise within. Sesshoumaru's youkai growled in pleasure as he continued to forcefully thrust into her and absorbed her screams of pain. He separated her arms and positioned them one at each side and bent down close to her ears, "You wanted this" it growled out and increased the speed of his thrusts as he felt his release was coming soon.
He grasped her wrists tightly and his fangs enlarged as he continued to slam into her. He sank his fangs deep within the juncture between her neck and shoulder and grunted his release into her. Kagome cried out as a new source of pain pulsed through her body. Sesshoumaru's youkai resided back into Sesshoumaru's mind as the aftershocks of his release cleared.

"Kagome," he whispered apologetically when he gained full control of his body again, he watched in horror as his youkai raped the one who he was protecting. Sesshoumaru gulped uncomfortably when he tried to withdraw his member from her body, but halted when Kagome cringed in pain. Sesshoumaru stared deeply into her tear stained eyes and whispered soft and soothing words to ease her pain. Something inside Sesshoumaru twisted with guilt when he saw the fear and discomfort seep out of her eyes.
"Kagome, we-" Sesshoumaru started to apologize but she shoved him off of her and scrambled out of the bed in haste. Kagome stood up and her knees gave out and she dropped to the floor, Sesshoumaru rushed over to her when the door slammed open.
A pair of brown eyes and another, violet, stared in shock. "Kagome!" Sango ran over to the sobbing Kagome and held her in her arms protectively.
"How could you, Sesshoumaru? She trusted you," Sango shouted out in anger and thanked Miroku as he took the blanket and covered Kagome's body. Miroku shook his head at his prince, "Sesshoumaru-sama, you shouldn't have lost control." Miroku helped Sango and the sobbing Kagome out of the corridor and to their rooms. Within seconds Jyunchi, Kouga, and Touga arrived in front of Miroku, and a blood stained Kagome.
"What happened?" Touga growled out fearing for the worst. Miroku gestured Sango and Kagome to go ahead and bowed to his lord, "I'm afraid Sesshoumaru-sama has lost his control and..." Miroku sighed, "He's raped the girl." Kouga growled in anger and barged into the corridor, "YOU BASTARD" he gripped Sesshoumaru by the hair and hauled his body off the floor.
"She was so gentle and you broke her," Kouga punched Sesshoumaru across his face, "Wasn't it enough that you took her virginity, now you have to rape her?!" Kouga was about to attack Sesshoumaru once more when he was stopped with a hand on his shoulder. "Enough Kouga," Touga walked to his son and threw his white bottoms at him.
"Son, you have much to learn when it comes to control," Touga bent down to his son and felt his heart broke, 'He regrets it as well,' Touga sighed and patted his shoulder and left the room to call for the servants to clean up the mess. The dejected Sesshoumaru put on his white bottoms slowly as Jyunchi entered the room.
"Are you here to yell at this Sesshoumaru as well?" he said with a soft voice. Jyunchi sighed and placed his hands on his shoulders, one on each side.
"Sesshoumaru, what happened?" Jyunchi knew his friend wouldn't rape girl without reason, 'hell,' he thought, 'he wouldn't even touch a girl if she's not a virgin.' Sesshoumaru sighed and ran his hands down his hair, "Do you have time to listen to us?" Jyunchi chuckled, "always."
Sesshoumaru nodded, "to my study then."

"Kagome, you're safe now, it's alright" Sango whispered reassuring words to Kagome as she guided her to the built in hot springs. Kagome held her head low as tears continued to stream down her cheeks and sniffling and hiccups racked through her body. "oh Kagome," Sango sighed and stopped to embrace Kagome.
Kagome released her will to stay strong and sobbed hysterically on Sango's shoulders, "he... he.. forced... me..." she whispered through sobs. Sango glided her hands along Kagome's hair lovingly, "It's alright now. I'm here." Sango felt tears sting her eyes when she realized she has failed to protect Kagome again, "I'm sorry Kagome," she whispered.
Sango guided Kagome into the hot spring chamber and unwrapped the blanket around her, "Kagome get in." Through her clouded vision due to tears, Kagome did as she was told. Sango cringed in pain when Kagome took a step, blood streamed down her womanhood, "Oh Kagome," she breathed out sadly. Kagome's sobs turned to soft hiccups as the warm waters relaxed her aching muscles and pains away, "Sango-chan?"
Sango smiled softly and nodded, "Yes Kagome?" Kagome reached over and tugged on Sango's kimono, "Join me, please? I don't want to be alone right now," she whispered through sorrowful eyes. Sango nodded helplessly, "of course." Sango relieved her body of her clothes and joined Kagome in the waters.
"Do you feel better now?" Sango asked as she lathered the wash cloth and began to bath Kagome, she nodded softly, "yes." Sango was afraid to ask what happened, knowing pretty well Kagome will start crying again. Sango bent down behind her and wrapped her arms around Kagome's chest, "I'll be here for you, Kagome." Kagome smiled sadly and tears slipped down her eyes, "Thank you" she whispered.

"So that's what happened?" Jyunchi scratched the back of his head. Inuyasha, Miroku, Touga and Kouga seemed to have came in the room while Sesshoumaru was explaining to his best friends. Touga nodded in an understanding manner and Kouga just looked pissed. Miroku sighed, "I knew you won't be that type of being Sesshoumaru-sama."
Sesshoumaru nodded and rubbed his temples, "She fears me now," he slammed his hands down on his desk. Touga walked over to his son, "I believe Miroku can persuade her that you meant no harm," Miroku stiffened.
"My lord, I'm afraid I can't," Miroku bowed "I have no authority over her, she is not educated in Youkai customs, and I am not the person who should be comforting her," Miroku inclined his head at Sesshoumaru.
Sesshoumaru sighed, "We saw the fear in her eyes, Father. There is no way she'll talk to us without fear laces in her voice." Touga furrowed his eyes, "You've marked her," he plainly stated. Sesshoumaru nodded, not realizing the trouble he caused for the Western land.
Touga growled, "Son, you've MARKED her." Touga groaned and gripped his hands at his sides tightly, "Son, the Eastern Lord threatened to wage war with the West if you and Kagai do not mate within 2 days time." Sesshoumaru shot out of his seat with his eyes widen.
"Father, please tell us you are telling us lies," he whispered. Touga shook his head, "If I was lying, you can detect it Sesshoumaru. We have to choose now, If you mate with Kagai, Kagome will be free to do what she wishes and the Western Lands will be safe from Eastern threats. However, if you choose Kagome, the West will engage in war and Kagome will forever face you with fear."
Sesshoumaru's body began to shake, "We don't want to choose," he said. Flashes of Kagome's innocent smile and laughter played in his head, 'Will she be happy if she were no longer associated with us?' Sesshoumaru remembered the fear and sorrow seeping out of her eyes after he's raped her, and that made up his mind. 'For you, Kagome. You shall be happy and I've done something unforgivable to your person. This Sesshoumaru is sorry,' Sesshoumaru sighed, 'You will be happy if I was no longer in your life."
"Father, I will mate Kagai" Sesshoumaru clenched his fist, 'That insufferable wench, but I will for you Kagome.' Sesshoumaru's comrads closed their eyes in sympathy. Inuyasha sighed,
"Sesshoumaru, you're brave. You know that?"
Touga regret having to make his son choose between his duty and his... 'love,' Touga thought. He finally realized what Miroku was talking about, 'Sesshoumaru is in love with Kagome, that's what he meant when he said Sesshoumaru has taken a liking to her deeper than we think,' Touga closed his eyes in frustration, 'Now this is up to me, Should I sacrifce what I've worked for, or allow my son to persue his love?'
