Kagome paced up and down her small court yard , she had yet to think of an appropriate recompense for the emperor. Whatever the gesture it had to be worth his while because she had a request of her own to consider .
Miroku I have not forgotten your petition involving Sango aside from this I too need to inquire about my fathers welfare. Is he allowed to visit the palace?  These were the questions she needed to pose to the emperor .The emperor! Snapping out of thought she moaned loudly
“What can I possibly give a man who has everything”, the onna grunted throwing her hands up in frustration .She had been so occupied in thought that she had not heard her servants announcement.
“Geijutsuka concubine arrives”, the rabbit youkai maid called as she escorted the concubine towards her troubled mistress.
“ Kagome -san I wasnt aware that your residence was this remote”. Ayame the wolf youkai exclaimed concerned -briefly she scanned the pavilion that was located along the abandoned pathway. Though it was not entirly secluded the lack of livlihood left it unappealing thus incognito to any by passers who might have strayed along the path.
“Ayame san “, Kagome replied relieved as she embraced the youkai slowly “I had planned on paying you a visit earlier on, though I wasnt sure exactly where you stayed. Yes my place is far off however I am not displeased, I have no desire to reside within the harem . Aside from you I have no other friend." This also decreases the chances of me seeing those arrogant princes
“I understand then. Out of sight and out of mind is your idea" the wolf replied grinning cunningly. "I wish I had your personality then surely I wouldnt have mind staying in solitaire. As a wolf my instincts demand that I remain within a pack even if the company-- is not to my liking. Kagome what exactly were you fretting about earlier something about a male?”
The onna flushed slightly she was unaware that she had made such a loud fuss over a trivial matter, of course Ayames keen hearing would have picked up on such commotion. Often times she forgot that it was a youkai she had befriended. Being her first youkai friend Kagome was unaware of a lot of her advantages.
“Ayame..I need your suggestion concerning something.I may have offended the emperor though the offence was small he requested a repayment. I dont know what I can possible give to him.” Kagome admitted with a sigh as the two walked in union towards the small residence.
“Perhaps we should take this matter inside least anyone else hears” the onna concluded . Pausing at the entrance  she dismissed her stationed servants who awaited at the opening of the screen door.
“Of course Kagome san you know I will offer my assistance in anyway I can, though I have a bit of chatter I should share with you concerning the imperial harem. I too am in need of counsel or rather a solution” the wolf replied sadly. She entered the shoji doors alongside her friendand took in her surroundings with shock and disdain.

The interior of the place had been designed with modest colours blue, auburn and pink, it held a large futon along with two chestnut trunk for any attire. A low wooden table along with two wooden stools occupied the small tea area, jaded tea kettles ,cups and an incense burner sat at the foot of the large strawed tatami mat.
A shoji screen separated a vanity area which housed a long bronze mirror ,jaded stool and a small bath area, the bath house led to a small garden which looked as if it had been abandoned.
“I see the place is not only remote but it also lacks finesse.It seems as if the concubine that had previously resided here may have been cast away .Flushing slightly at her lack of manners Ayame took a seat at the small wooden floor table.
"I might have assumed though since his majesty doesnt seem that ruthless--she may have preferred simplicity over any extravagance the harem parades. Dumplin over flowers then”. The wolf youkai concluded as she accepted a cup of tea the onna had poured and offered her during her rude assesment.
“Indeed the previous concubine may have preferred to live a modest life, likewise I am the same”, Kagome responded cautiously. She did not wish to unveil the little she knew of the human concubine imperial physician had leaked during their conversation.
“Ayame what can I repay the emperor with seeing as I have not yet served him in bed”, Kagome asked breifly joining her friend she took a seat on the small wooden stool.
“Repayment? Well there are ways to become intimate with a male without going all the way .I am not a novist to rutting so I can inform you of ways to please him without sacrificing your maidenhood”, the wolf responded as she grinned slightly.
No Ayame was not a novist to foreplay or the experience of losing her most treasure jewel. In fact she had a lover she was eager to return to before her name was chosen in the audition--because of this the wolf had been reluctant in serving the royals in bed.
Other ways. "Such imprudence ", Kagome whispered cautiously as she scanned the room for any listening ears. “Ayame you mean you were not a virgin when you entered the audition? But if you were to serve the emperor and he found out you will be cast away ,if not killed for deception . A maiden or female youkai from a noble or common home must be rendered spotless they must be celibate--untried before --”
“I am aware Kagome”, the wolf injected smoothly as she grasp a jaden tea cup firmly within her hands.She was not ignorant of the rules however her decisions in the past did not center around the possibilitiy of becoming apart of a harem.
Her father had two other daughters that were eager to enter the audition. Because she was reluctant and indeed rebellious she assummed she would be the one spared
“I am aware of the palace protocols but I do not care . I WAS FREE LIKE A BIRD BUT THEN GOT CAGED TO SERVICE MEN that I HAVE NO INTEREST IN”!
In midst of her outburst she had shattered the jade tea cup within her grasp. It left a trail of blood along with splintered green fragments within her porcelain hands. Twitching her claws slightly at the sudden sting she stared at the bleeding streak that dripped along her palm thoughtfully
“ I am glad to be imprudent for once I had a chance to be with the one Ive loved since childhood. Whether death or torture I will endure it--I have no regrets” the wolf youkai concluded as she inspected her palms for the source of the bleeding. Picking the shards out swiftly she peered up at the sound of her concerned friend.
“Ayame please calm your rage. In fact the matter is not the worst thing I know of. I will conceal this secret-- moreover I have my own burdens and exposing another’s is not my human nature” ,the onna assured softly as she walked towards a small rose water basin.
The wolfs hand held a prominent scar and her bleeding had not subsided. Kagome had not expected such a sudden outburst from her friend who had seemed more reserved than the others in the past. Still waters run deep afterall .Walking towards the woman she placed a small basin along with a silk cloth withing her grasp.
“Here submerge your hands into this rose water it will aid in the bleeding temporarily, though I need to find something to mend your flesh with".Kagome said concerned as she inspected her friends hands slowly.
“ Gomen Kagome I had lost my stance but you now see my dilemma “,Ayame whispered as she pressed the wet silk cloth the ningen offered her towards her wound .
“Aside from my predicament things in the harem are not good. Concubines have done their utmost to attain the prince’s seed and have failed due to Kimiko’s intervention . I have witnessed a few physicians myself by accident they had appeared to be conjuring up concoctions which will aid in the lost of an unborn babe."
"I have seen them serve it to Yura on occassions. When I inquired about the content they said it was a special tea from the Queen herself. I do not understand Kimikos intentions why would she assign concubines to the harem if extending the imperial line was not the motive”, the wolf voiced curiously as she eyed the small onna--this was the matter she had came to discuss before her open confession.
Kagome pondered slowly as she absorbed the question that was directed to her. Kimiko I did not expect that one such as you can be so ruthless, ending a child life for you own personal gain, but for what purpose --is it jealousy? No this involved her son not the emperor perhaps safe guarding Sesshomarus future was the objection..
The onna scowled in disgust as she faced her wolf ally of course Ayame would be concerned seeing as she had not yet been summoned to bed the ice prince. If she did conceive --she would become the Queens next target.
“The empress would kill her own grandchildren to safeguard her sons future.” Kagome spat suddenly disturbed at the notion.
"If there are no future heirs then Sesshomaru will remain emperor until-- of course he chooses to change that” The palace was truly a wicked place. Is this why it was so lacking where imperial children were concerned? Even the human emperor of China had at least 13 offsprings.
“Vicious viper”, Ayame whispered as she considered her friends words thoughtfully. “It is said a snake sheds layers of skin to adapt to its environment .No doubt Kimiko has mastered this art of deception,she has resided within these palace walls for so many years it is inevitable. Kagome.I do not wish to share the same fate as Yura and the other women I am suddenly not anxious to be with child. I am not anxious to serve his majesty either.There must be some way to avoid these situations “,Ayame voiced sadly as her heart clenched at the wickedness she had just discovered.
“The emperor is not the one to blame remember that Ayame . Afterall I am certain he is not aware of his mates wrongdoings. Whether the crown prince is in cohorts with his mother or not I am not certain. I doubt a proud youkai like himself would hurt his own offsprings. Delaying serving the emperor or his son is something I can help with if it what you chose." Seeing as the wolf demonesses had confided in her, she had decided she would do the same.
"Ayame I too have a confession to make since we are being transparent . I summoned Imperial Physician over the past few days to serve me a concoction, it consisted of chaste berry amongst a few other ingredients. I too was not pleased with this life and I did not wish to conceive. I did not wish to bond with anyone that my heart failed to acknowledge first. I also know of a way to divert a males advances, if it comes to that. "
“Kagome what if this concoction has a negative effect on your body, you are but a ningen you are not privileged with long life and vitality. Although we face uncertainties in this harem we must not harm what is Kami given. Fate is not up to us and children may play a factor in it. Despite our interference's the Gods has a way of laughing at us.” Ayame replied with a sad shrug as she walked towards the onnas entrance.
The wolf was aware that the ningen had to prepare herself for the emperors visit, seeing that it was almost sundown she knew her time to go was evident
“Indeed I may not be able to stop conception if it is the Gods will --however I will do everything I can for the moment-- until Ive formed an adequate relationship with the emperor. Speaking of which I have thought of the perfect repayment “ ,the onna said flushing slightly.
She had considered Ayames previous suggestion. She didnt have to give up her purity or what she stood for but a few innoncent acts here or there should suffice until the day she would make the decision.
“Do tell Kagome its getting a bit late and I must depart before his arrival “,Ayame replied as curiosity dawned in her almond shaped emerald eyes. The woman was meek it couldnt be anything too entertaining. If she knew how to dance or do the arts it would have sufficed. Something I have to train her on--eventually. Ayame mused silently
“I will allow him some advances as long as my purity remains intact. Close encounters are all I have to offer for now and with some pending requests I must use my greatest efforts. A kiss, perhaps few touches here or there.I know he enjoys selective human foods I can prepare some for him--an intimate evening at that-- Im sure he will appreciate it." The onna responded firmly as she eyed the smiling wolf.
Ayames eyes widened slightly as the onna escorted her towards the narrow entrance. It seemed as if the onna had considered her earlier suggestion, but whether or not it would backfire on her the wolf was not certain.
“Hai Kagome a woman greatest weapon is her femininely techniques it seems like your heart is not as simple as I had deemed it to be”.Please take caution as well because the primal side of an inu male is not something one can toy with,the wolf thought anxiously.
Following the humans lead she disclosed a bit more of the palaces drama the place was swarming with it--perhaps being remote was one of the onnas greatest benefits

Short update Sesshomaru will have his portion or the last laugh as they say... I am not great at writing smut I prefer stories with substance however since its inevitable in this type of story I will proceed .
