Alright, dear readers of mine... here we are, but sadly this story is near to it's end.
Well, I'll leave you with the current chapter then. The initial part was particularly created during my translating work. It doesn't exist on my original story in Brazilian Portuguese. Hope you'll enjoy it.

Kohaku was sitting under the shadow of a tree with Kirara on his lap, quietly watching Kagome training arrow and bow with a young girl who recently has arrived in the village. The boy sighed, observing the priestess' apprentice struggle while aiming the shaft on a watermelon placed above a rock. Her delicate arm still trembled when pulling the rope back. The faint twilight sun, shining over her raven hair, made it's long straight strands look like the most soft of velvets, such precious obsidian locks. Oh, and those graffiti eyes? They made his heart flutter and cheeks grow warm.
"You like her, don't you?" A manly voice whispered in his ear.
"W-what are you doing here Miroku-sama, shouldn't you be with Sango, caring for the children?" Kohaku blushed hard and looked aside.
"They played so much with Shippo that now are taking a nap with their mother." He smiled, staring both girls dressed in miko garments throwing arrows together.
"Oh..." The pale younger lass sighed, seeing how far from the watermelon her arrow fell.
"Be patient, Yoru." Kagome said, smiling tenderly. "I found it very hard too when I started to learn. Haven't I told you how I clumsily shattered Shikon no Tama in pieces? Someday it will be a piece of cake to you, trust me."
The girl chuckled and nodded. "If you say so..."
"Well, your ability to raise a barrier is incredible though, in such a young age..." Kagome touched her shoulder.
"Thanks to miss Anaberu." Suddenly her gaze gleamed, lowered down. "It's been about three years and I still miss her so much..."
"I know..." Kagome also felt a weight inside her chest, both breathed in deeply. "Yet she's at home now, isn't she?"
"Yes, my sister saw when miss Anaberu got the boat and went away." She sniffed, holding back tears.
"Kagura told us she helped Annabelle in this journey..." Kagome mentioned, then her eyes widened and a smile grew on her lips. "Hey, isn't today the day she will visit us? She always comes when Sesshomaru appears, it's like she can feel he will arrive in the village." The priestess giggled. "Oh my, maybe she'll win his heart with such persistence."
"You can count on that!" Yoru's mood resumed to be cheerful, and she also laughed, then whispered at her teacher's ears: "Rin and I have made a bet. I'm sure within a year, lord Sesshomaru will fall for Kagura's charms."
"You two have amazing ideas!" The miko shook her head, yet didn't sound like scolding. "Let's go back to the village before it gets dark, right?"
They turned around and soon a wide smile adorned Yoru's complexion. "Kohaku!" Excited, she ran to the lad already on his feet and greeted him, then she stroked Kirara's fur. The demon slayer's face got pinkish and he scratched his head while talking to her. Kagome waved to Miroku, and at last they all walked together to the village. There they met Inuyasha first, who complained about Kagome being late, then they found Sesshomaru delivering a new fancy kimono into Rin's arms. Jaken was arguing with Kagura, it has become a habit by now, still the demoness seemed to take it lightly, she looked much more receptive with the passing time, perhaps she had finally get used to be around that group after all.
Miroku went to his family's house, Kohaku followed right ahead to visit his sister. Sesshomaru barely said a word to anyone but Rin, though his golden gaze looked peaceful while meeting the Wind Sorcerer's red globes, yet he didn't delay his departure too much. Kaede was preparing dinner and Shippo was resting with Miroku and Sango's little children. Finally, there were Inuyasha, Kagome, Yoru and Kagura in the yard, observing the sky darkening with the nightfall.
"I often wonder how she's doing..." The inuhanyo confessed. Since Himawari left Yoru in that village to train after hearing about Kagome's skills; the famous priestess who destroyed Shikon no Tama, through days the greyish-eyed girl filled him with questions about Annabelle from the moment she learned his group were also friends with the ginger lass. Inuyasha got tired of evading from her inquiries, and now finally mentioned the subject.
"So you care for her after all." Yoru grimaced, teasing him.
"Of course he does!" Kagome intervened before the hanyo could start to act grumpily. "We all do. But, you know something? My heart tells me that if Anna didn't already find joy in her life, she will very soon." She lifted her gaze to the stars.
"She surely will." Kagura unconsciously spilled.
"How can you be so sure?" Inuyasha narrowed his amber pools, sounding suspicious.
"I just feel it in my heart, like Kagome does. Have a problem with that?" The demoness retorted immediately, and they hissed to one another. Kagome and Yoru sighed and chuckled, both used to their little feuds, nothing really serious.
Inuyasha then glanced above again, his arms folded behind the long red sleeves of his haori, the warm shades of the twilight reflected on the amber eyes as he thought about everything they all have been through years ago. As time passed by and he got to look at the past with more calmness, his rage and resentment cooled a little, and the inuhanyo has even learned to pity Naraku when remembering his last moments. Could things have been different? Was Kikyo right when saying Annabelle was changing Naraku's heart? Could a devious creature like the spider hanyo achieve to redeem from his crimes? They would never know, and it felt strange to Inuyasha to suddenly care so much about those possibilities. He frowned in discomfort, acknowledging why such questions sometimes spun into his mind, it was because he really cared about Annabelle, Yoru was right. Albeit his usual harshness, Inuyasha learned to see the foreigner as a friend, as he did with Kagura also. Killing Naraku must have been like stabbing a knife into Annabelle's very soul, as if they had killed a part of hers along, Inuyasha felt this way because in the day of the final battle, he could feel a reminiscent scent of the lass in there, so it was easy to suppose that she came to see Naraku one last time and it pained him more than he could admit. Her sorrowful speech into Onigumo's cave was something he might never forget. So, deep into his heart, the inuhanyo truly wished for Kagome and Kagura's hunch to be true, may Anna could find a new joy in her life, for he knew how much she deserved it, no matter which mistakes she has made for the sake of a love she tried so hard to deny, but in the end everyone could see it was there, pulsing into her core and pouring from her eyes.
A hand softly brushed the silver-haired hanyo's shoulder. He looked aside and met his smiling partner, sharing with him some warmness. Incredibly, Kagome's calmness always exerted immediate influence on him. Their heads rested together as their shoulders touched. Kagura muffled a giggle, making Inuyasha blush right away.
"What?" He inquired grumpily, grimacing. The girls just chuckled at his boyish behavior.
Then, Yoru also gazed at the sky for a while. Uniting her hands, she prayed mentally for her dear friends and family who were away.
Please be safe and sound, Himawari, Motoko... and miss Anaberu, I pray for you to be happy wherever you are. You deserve no less. As for me, I am working to become a great priestess one day, just as you said I would be.

Each leg of his felt like weighting a tonne, the creature soaked in dark mud was dragging his feet and sometimes he stumbled. The lungs worked hard to manage readapting to breathe the earthly air. Every piece of nature surrounding him looked unfamiliar. There was something in the atmosphere of that landscape that felt odd – mystical, he would risk to say. Even the architecture of the tiny house was curious, not only for being a square made of stones with a straw roof, but also for it's humble size.
I left her enough wealth so she could live in a castle. He thought as carefully laying the lass over the bed next to a wall, covered by the baboon pelt.
The man spun, looking at every detail around, inside that small space. He saw a table with some wooden bowls, cups and papers spread all over, with a rocking chair placed in front. On the other side, there was the fireplace clearing the chamber with it's low flame, with the last remains of an yesterday soup boiling into a hanging metal cauldron. At the edge of the bed, a wooden chest laid, keeping the Scottish lass' clothes and dresses safe from dust. Finally, against the wall, behind the open door, stood the only ostensible object she still had – the harp.
Sighing, he stared at her. Noting the tired features and the old aspect of her tartan dress, he leaned down and moved a hand closer to her suffering face. Then, looking at his own fingers, he recalled how dirty his body was. Not wanting to stain her with mud even more, he raised, got a bucket that was under the table and left the hut. Soon he found a well on the backyard, so he filled the bucket with water and washed himself.

"Ailyn, must I repeat myself for the fourth time?!" A hysterical woman scolded her. "Serve the table six!"
The beauty of golden curls tied in pigtails, wearing a light-pink dress full of lace and frill, took her elbows off the wooden counter and, clicking her heels heavily on the floor, she went to get a silver tray with a teacup, a porcelain kettle and some sweet biscuits.
"She is moody because her best friend has moved recently." One waitress said to another.
"The Kagome one who brought her to work here?"
"Could you please stop gossiping? It's obvious that I am the subject." The blonde woman grumbled while taking the order to the client.
"You shouldn't act so arrogantly if you really want to keep this job!" As soon as the stressed manager warned, Ailyn swallowed her pride, and although she looked visibly annoyed, the lass fulfilled her obligations without any other complaint.
Three years already... she sighed while delicately serving tea. Kagome came back to this age and I thought she would stay forever.
Even though her mood was ruined, the lips painted in pink smiled discretely, for Ailyn remembered the time when she arrived in the modern time.

"Who is she, Kagome?" A man with advanced age walked around the woman, studying her from head to toe. "Is she a yokai?"
"No, grandpa, she is a foreigner!" The smiling teenager explained. Soon her little brother who has been watching everything from the living room's door left out a comment:
"She is so pretty!" After saying out of breath, Sota blushed and lowered his head.
"Keh! Pretty?! She is a thorn, that's right!" Inuyasha's voice echoed from the second floor. Kagome just rolled eyes and shook her head.
"You look good in this dress." Kagome's mother pointed, glancing at the flowery delicate piece she knew so well, for it belonged to her daughter. "Are you hungry? Dinner won't take long to be ready." She smiled.
Ailyn barely could concentrate on the conversation between the relatives. As Kagome was telling about the Scottish lass' story and asking her family if the woman could stay at the house, the Red Rose just ran her eyes upon the strange objects from that century. What was the dark box with a man dressing a suit, speaking of economy inside? What was the weird thing hanging on the wall that suddenly made a high ringing noise, almost making her jump?
"Sis, it's for you!" Sota hang up the phone.
"I can tell it will be a challenge for you to get used to live in here..." Kagome's mom came closer, speaking serenely.
The dilated turquoises locked on the girl who was holding that thing called telephone against the ear, looking like she was talking with someone on the other side. Then, a hand delicately held her wrist and began to pull her to the kitchen's direction.
"Come help me to serve the dinner." The smiling lady of the house asked.

After eating along those people and hearing them talk about an oddity called "final exams", she has been leaded by Kagome to a room. The girl shooed Inuyasha away to cede Lynnie the bed.
"Oi, Kagome, don't let her get too used to it!" The hanyo grumbled while sitting on the floor.
"You stop being ill-mannered!" With hands on her waist, the girl scolded him. "Ailyn can keep the bed, since she will be living here. I am only passing by." She smiled.
"But where will you sleep while you are here?" The foreigner sat over the soft mattress and tattered it, squeezing the pink sheet upon.
"Oh, I have an air mattress somewhere in here..." She opened the wardrobe and began to search. "Found it!" Kagome took the box keeping it, and also the analogical pump. "Here, Inuyasha!" She tossed the object to him. "Can you blow this up for me, please?"
"Keh!" The inuhanyo folded his arms and showed a sided smirk, standing on his feet. "Too easy."
"All you have to do is to step here and..." Kagome pointed to the pump, already connected to the mattress.
The half-breed dog demon stepped on it with such strength that the mattress not only was filled at once, but also instantaneously exploded. The three of them widened eyes, looking at the particles of cloth spread around the room. Then, the school girl rampaged:
"You idiot! Look what you did! I told you to step on it, not to crush the pump!" She scolded him, waving her arms up nervously.
"It's not my fault if this stuff was so cheap!" Although embarrassed by his clumsy action, the pride always took the best of him and came out through his childish words and gestures. So, Inuyasha also shouted and shook his arms as much as his companion. That attitude of his has been enough to Kagome lose it for good, and there it came:
"Sit!" She shouted the command, her high voice echoed across the room along the noise of poor Inuyasha hitting the floor.
Ailyn, still sitting, just blinked her eyes, startled with the strange "sorcery" she has just witnessed.
"I'll sleep with my mother, and you may go to the roof!" Kagome pointed the window.
"Keh! Whatever!" Already on his feet, curving his lips like a wrong-headed boy, Inuyasha jumped out of the room, acting like a stray cat.
"Kagome, I did not intend to cause all this fuss..." finally, Ailyn said something.
"Oh, don't worry about that!" Her cheeks immediately blushed and the girl nervously laughed, gesturing with her hands. "I'll clean this mess and you can stay in this bed, my mother won't bother if I sleep with her."
"Let me help you at least." With a strange feeling of guilt filling her inside, the Red Rose kneeled on the floor and started to pick the air mattress' pieces.
"I believe you'll be happy in here, Ailyn." Unlike moments ago, Kagome showed herself tender and her voice sounded so serene that warmed the foreigner's heart instantly.
So almost a week went by, during those days Kagome took her to shop and Annabelle's sister was dazed by the magnanimous mirrored skyscrapers, she almost felt blinded by the lots of artificial lights coloring the city. The lass crossed the streets fearfully, impressed with how those many "carriages" could run so fast without a single horse guiding them.
Kagome explained everything she could about how things worked in early 21th century Tokyo. At home, the girl taught Lynnie about the traffic, about the people's habits and the new technologies. She showed some books to the woman, but even if Ailyn was strangely capable of understanding the speaking idiom, reading and writing remained a challenge. Therefore, Kagome's mother embraced the mission of alphabetizing the blonde beauty, because after five days passed, her daughter had to return to Feudal Japan along with Inuyasha.
A time later though, the girl whose Ailyn owed her gratitude seemed to get stuck into a void and the Bone-Eater's well disappeared for a few days, for everyone's despair including hers. Then, for their relief, Kagome resurged in that age and so did the well from where she used to travel, but it mysteriously stopped to work as a bridge between different ages. Those have been tough days, from the start the girl didn't reveal much about any event, she just sadly told that Naraku has been defeated and, between some lingering sighs, Kagome said with conviction that everyone was alright.
Naraku. That name provoked chills in the Scottish lass. She felt a profound dread, even not being able to link the sensation to a face. However, Ailyn didn't share this feeling with Kagome, as she also didn't tell another secret of hers...
About a month ago, every night Ailyn dreamed of a man with tanned skin and long black hair tied on a braid. The first few times she found him in her sleep, the stranger was always on his back, till one night he turned around and exhibited the cobalt eyes and a shinning smile. Her heart always felt warm and throbbed at the same time when facing the man, and she cried without noticing, within that universe and even in hers, as soon as the lass awoke with silent tears marking her complexion. The Red Rose used to wipe the cheeks and then raise from the bed, ready to face one more day.
Kagome offered to help Lynnie to study, just to reinforce what her mother has already taught. The foreigner was a fast learner, it took her no long to learn all the highschool subjects, all translated in English, the tongue she was more familiar with.
"You could give private English lessons." Kagome suggested. "Thanks to you my grades improved a lot on the subject!" She giggled contently.
"To make money, you say?"
"Yes, precisely! At least while we still didn't manage to get you a degree."
"Alright, I'll consider it." She smiled, a bit excited with the possibility. "Kagome, now changing topics, I'd like to ask you a question..." Ailyn regained a serious behavior.
"Right, say it." The girl answered unworried, sitting at her desk, putting her pens back into the case.
"Why didn't you manage to go through the well anymore?" She spilled at once.
Almond pools trembled, yet the young girl smiled.
"I believe it is because I have accomplished my mission..." She sighed. "Shikon no Tama finally disappeared forever, and I belong to this age. So, even if the Bone-Eater's Well has returned, I..." The girl stopped talking to just breathe.
"I don't believe in any of that." The other woman was incisive. Kagome widened her eyes and stared startled at the lass. Ailyn followed the logic: "We choose the place where we belong, otherwise I wouldn't be here now. If it's possible to me existing in this time, you can go back there."
Kagome unsealed her lips, but wasn't able to say a thing. She thought her heart had already accepted to stay in the modern age, after all she had friends and family there, that has been her life till the Mistress Centipede dragged her through the well to different times, and that was how she found Inuyasha. Oh, how she wished to see him again...
"I tried sometimes, but it seems the Bone-Eater's Well has become an ordinary well since it reappeared." Kagome uttered, looking depressed. By then, both women were sitting on the room's floor and the youngest was shrinking, uniting her hands over her knees.
"Do you feel bad for anything that happened there?" Sounding a bit softer, Ailyn inquired.
"I wouldn't dare to tell it to the others, but since it's you..." She inhaled, her shoulders relaxed and lowered down. "I don't feel so well about Naraku's death." Her eyelids sealed.
"But didn't he do awful things?" The lass bewildered her friend's confession.
"Yes, he did." She sighed again. "But, deep inside my heart, I feel there was a redemption to him. The last expression on his face..." Kagome bended, embracing her legs and resting the chin over her knees. Whatever tragedy she has beheld stood only into her mind, because the girl didn't finish the sentence, but changed the subject instead: "And Annabelle, I'm sure we made her suffer a lot. She didn't deserve that..."
"Belle, how I miss her..." Ailyn smiled serenely. "I have a hunch, Kagome. Do you believe in those things?" She touched the arms which tightened around the school girl legs, lightly squeezing the sweatshirt's sleeves.
"Sure." Kagome smiled, not staring at the woman though. Brownish rounded eyes remained on the floor.
"I don't know what Belle is to me, but I feel our bond is so strong that not even a secular distance can break it. It's like there is a voice inside of me, saying she will be alright, that new horizons will open to her, and that she isn't alone." Ailyn rested a hand on her own chest, her features were so tranquil that it didn't look like her.
Kagome felt being filled by that calmness and the guilt inside her core faded for a while.
"I sincerely hope that she may find happiness, just like everyone had." She prayed for the ginger lass.
"Not everyone yet." Ailyn arched an eyebrow, leaving the ephemeral serenity behind to show a discreet tone of annoyance. "What about us?" She crossed her arms.
The other lass, surprised by the sudden change of temper, ended up laughing out loud.
As the months ran by, the two women got closer still, one became the other's confident. Not only they studied together, but also went out to have some fun. Kagome liked to take Ailyn to eat in Wac Donald's with her friends and to sing at the Karaoke. In a night of fun, Annabelle's sister ended up meeting a good-looking man and they traded numbers. Although her excited friend encouraged her to go out with the guy more times, that same voice which has told her Anna would be alright also warned that such man was not the one she has been looking for. A void kept the lass cold inside, and only felt fulfilled when she dreamed about an unknown, but so familiar warrior.
Time was flying and not a single memory of hers has returned. There seemed to be a barrier impeding her to remember the past, and on the other hand, she didn't put much effort on resolving it as well. Ailyn just went to see the doctor regularly, she made every required medical exam, yet her amnesia looked like a mystery even to the present advanced medicine. Anyway, Lynnie felt satisfied with that life. Besides giving English lessons, after leaving some curriculums in several emporiums, restaurants and pubs, she has finally gotten a job on a Lolita tea-house Kagome once has showed her. The uniforms adorned by laces and delicate frills have fascinated her at first, and even not knowing exactly what she would have to do in there, the lass just took the opportunity willingly.
A few days later, perhaps inspired by the conversation they two had, Kagome at last managed to cross the well and return to the past. Like the family which has sheltered her, Ailyn was certain that was a definitive farewell.
Most of the joy has gone with the newly graduated lass. To relieve the feeling of missing, Ailyn used to flip through the graduation photo album pages, remembering how they had fun on that day.
The routine gradually became too repetitive, and soon the job of her dreams turned into a living hell. She hated to receive orders from other people.
Once, trying to break that monotone cycle, the lass even called the fellow she has flirted with in Karaoke's night. They had three dates and soon she grew tired of him. After that guy, Lynnie flirted with some others, yet no relationship lasted more than a week.

"Ailyn, do you hear me?! I am talking to you, girl!" The manager shouted right in her ear, shivering every foreigner's strands of hair because of the fright. "Natsu will have to leave sooner, so you'll cover her up today."
The bitch doesn't even ask, she demands! The lass swallowed her anger, thinking about the money.
"Serve table eight!" The same annoying creature told.
With narrowed eyes and lips twisted down, she marched furiously, showing no delicacy in her manners.
"I swear I just keep this wench here because her beauty attracts many clients!" The boss mentioned to a waitress, while massaging her own temples.
Oh, Kagome, I miss you so! Ailyn snorted and bended over the counter after serving tea to a group of boys. Belle, I wonder what are you doing by now... She rested her face on one hand gracefully covered by a white lacy glove.

Annabelle recovered her senses. Her dewy eyelashes shivered before the turquoises finally open, focused on the hut's cellar.
What a strange dream... She sighed, lifting her upper body and leaning the elbows on the cloak covering her bed. The lass sat and rubbed her eyes, then she turned, touching feet on the wooden floor. Anna put her hands on the edge of the bed to raise up, and when lifting her head she saw him naked, sitting on the rocking chair in front of the table. His body was clean, without a single drop of mud taunting his milky skin.
"Annabelle..." Naraku huskily uttered the name, red pools locked on her as if the hanyo felt so incredulous as she was.
