He seemed board. Not that she blamed him, she was board too, but she knew that Sesshoumaru was used to a faster pace and used to doing things as he pleased. With her, Rin, Jaken, and a few servants tagging along, he was unable to do so. Besides, it was expected to arrive in style and with the fancy carriage and well-bred horse youkai; they were definitely arriving in style.
Life had been every thing but uneventful since she accepted Sesshoumaru's vocal claim. It seemed by him doing so, it had opened up the flood gates for the unexpected. The two that stood out the most was the arrival of Kazuo and her meeting Taka. The situation with Kazuo, a samurai and friend to Kagome, had been hilarious for her but she doubted Cory and Sesshoumaru felt the same way. It seemed Kazuo had also found Rin intriguing and had been slightly affectionate with her. A couple times it looked like Cory was going to attack him, especially when Rin laughed at a one of the samurai's jokes or when she sweetly smiled at him, but Morhad had taken it upon herself to keep the peace. She distracted Cory by getting some itching powder from Sango and putting it in his tail. He had spent the rest of Kazuo's visit in the lake, trying to wash his tail out. Sesshoumaru had been more suddle in his dislike for Kazuo. Like he did with Cory, he just glared and hinted with body language that Kazou was treading on dangerous ground. Kazou seemed to understand for he had backed off a little but when ever Rin willingly approached him, he would flirt with her.
Meeting Taka had been anything but funny. It had been damn right scary. Ireland had it own share of spider youkai but none like her and when Sesshoumaru had taken her into Taka's room to be measured for a kimono, she had been tempted to claw her way through a wall just to escape. She didn't know what it was about the woman. She seemed weak anail.ail. Her movements had even been slow and careful. Taka wasn't young but she should have at least a few more centuries to live before the appearance of youth left her but Taka just seemed old. But yet the woman radiated power and Morgan swore she was able to hear the screams of her fallen comrades and brother while in her presence. She was thankful that Taka had gotten straight to work and she was able to get out of there fast. She then lectured Sesshoumaru about having that type of demon in the castle where a defenseless little girl lived. He ignored her, of course.
Surprisingly, her pack's reaction to her announcement of Sesshoumaru’s partial claim and that she would be staying at his castle for a while hadn't made the list. True, her father had been surprised and maybe ttlettle angry but like the pack, he had remained calm. Though there were some comments made on her behave that made her want to murder some of her kin but she kept her temper under control. She was actually too tired from the travel and Cory had retaliated by putting ants in her blanket so she was too sore and itchy to care.
Then she had spent the remaining time in Sesshoumaru's castle, putting herself in an uncomfortable position, especially when he put her in a room next to his so the only thing that separated them was a thin wall and screen. He had even undressed in front of it, showing his silhouette to her while she tried to sleep. She knew he was doing it on purpose but when she met him the next mornings, he acted like nothing had happened. The rest of the days were spent with him, Jaken, and Rin, teaching her how to act like a lady, or in her opinion, submissive and quiet. She learned how to use the eating utensils, how to sit, and how to hold herself but she would be damned if she kept her mouth shut. If something happened that she didn't like, she was going to let them know.
Morgan sighed and rested her head in her palm. She wondered how much of a tragedy this party was going to be and how much of it would be her fault.
"How much farther to we have to go?" she asked.
Sesshoumaru opened his eyes and looked out the window.
"An hour."
"Should I expect anything?"
Sesshoumaru looked at her.
"Such as?"
Morgan shrugged and continued to stare out the window.
"Anything that will set me off guard or make me act like you don't want to."
Sesshoumaru cracked a smile but Morgan didn't see it.
"The lord of the Southern lands has three daughters. Two of them will be less than pleased to see me in the company of another female."
"Let me guess, spoiled brats who want to be the next lady of the western lands."
Sesshoumaru nodded and looked back out the window. The sun had started to set, sending ribbons of red and violet into the sky. The southern lands were also a beautiful place but he preferred the beauty of his own land.
"You said there were three daughters but you only said two would be unhappy.
"The third is a child."
"I see." Morgan looked down at the girl leaning against her before looking back at the lord who continued to stare out the window. "What about Rin?"
Sesshoumaru met her eyes. "What about her?"
"When she attended these gatherings before, she was just a child but she's not any more. She went through her heat last week but they're bound to sense the change." Absentmindedly, Morgan stroked Rin's hair. "Some are not as noble as you or my pack. They'll sense the change and think it an open invitation. After all, in there eyes, she's only a human, therefore fair game."
"I have thought about that," he explained. “Jaken has strict orders not to leave her side and she is to remain in either my sight or yours."
"You've explained that to her."
Sesshoumaru nodded.
"And she didn't argue?"
He actually cringed and Morgan couldn't help the satisfied smirk. At least one was able to get some emotion out of him. Whoever thought it be a human adolescent.
"Up until I told her why, she agreed then."
Morgan snorted and looked out the window.
"You probably scared the shit out of her."
Sesshoumaru growled at her choice of words. Morgan blushed but she waved the growl aside.
"We're not there yet. I can talk any way I want to."
"I would prefer if you make an effort."
Morgan sighed in defeat and looked back out the window. She couldn't understand why she loved this arrogant lord. She thought over it countless times while she lay alone in her room. She never came to any answers and that frustrated her but occasionally, he would be sweet, usually it was towards the girl and only when he thought the two were alone. He hadn't known that she had been coming around the corner when she spotted them. Rin had been painting and Sesshoumaru had complemented her talent just as Morgan came across them. She had smiled at his back before turning and walking away. He knew he wouldn't appreciate it if he thought she was spying on him.
She wished he would be that way toward her but he seemed to have his own opinion on how couples, even courting couples, were to act. He did spend time with her, accompanying her on her walks in the woods or sitting with her as she read but he had always remained silent unless she initiated a conversation and he answered were always cold shoulder. She had actually stomped away from him at one point when he had been especially stubborn and of course, he didn't know what he did wrong. How she wanted to slug him.
Morgan closed her eyes. She wouldn't get any more of a conversation out of him without angering him or herself in some way so she decided it was for the best if she remained quiet. She didn't know how a relationship with him was going to work since she was so upfront with her emotions and she was beginning to think he had few. Opposites attract, she had once heard. She decided then that if opposites attracted they would eventually strangle each other. She wondered how long it would be before she strangled him.
He never even bothered to kiss her after she had surprised him with that kiss in the woods. She had at least thought that he would consider it open invitation and she wished he would kiss her. She had enjoyed that one kiss and she wondered what would happen if he initiated it first and if she could stand it if he did.
"Are you in discomfort?" Sesshoumaru suddenly asked.
It was so unexpected that Morgan's eyes shot open and she straightened in her seat. Rin murmured a protest before moving to lean against the carriage wall, giving Morgan much more space.
"What?"
"You've been rubbing your temple for some time," he explained.
Morgan looked at her hand and indeed found it leaning against the window where her head and been. She hadn't even noticed.
"No, I've just been thinking," she answered as she curled her hands in her lap and sat in the straight posture he had taught her. Sometimes even she thought herself too open. She hadn't wanted him to know that she was thinking and she hoped he didn't expect what about.
Sesshoumaru stared at her, studying her but as usual, his expression was passive. His eyes eventually rose to her hair.
"You'll need to brush your hair before we arrive."
Growling, Morgan pushed a stray strand back. She had worn her hair back in her usual braid but a few stubborn strands had worked their way out, giving her a disheveled appearance. She understood that he would notice and want her to do something about it but she was still frustrated that he had noticed. She wished he would notice other things. Pulling her hair over her shoulder, she began to undo the braid, not noticing that Sesshoumaru was watching her.
Since her stay in the castle, her hair had been cared for by servants assigned to the task. She had been embarrassed, and still was, about anyone but her tending to her hair and body but she did admit, her hair had never looked this good or felt this soft. She would have to ask Sesshoumaru if she could take some of the soap to her sister, who, since giving birth, could use some pampering.
Her brush was packed away but the strands were unknotted so her fingers worked just as good and when properly tamed and with a skill that amazed the lord, who continued to watch, she put it back in it usual braid. She then looked at Sesshoumaru for approval and was taken back by what she saw.
His eyes had darkened to a rich shade of amber and his jaw had tightened. She could sense that every one of his muscles was tense as if prepare for an attack. Delighted and frightened by his reaction, Morgan did the only thing she could think of, she looked out the window. Across from her, Sesshoumaru slowly relaxed but tension remained in the carriage. Jaken, who usually glued at his masters feet, even slunk away from the two.
So the rest of the journey was spent in silence with tension hanging over them like a thick blanket. Both were relieved when the carriage began to descend, signaling that they were near. Morgan took a deep breath to steady her nerve and her head lifted from her hand before she leaned as far as the window would let her.
"What is it?" Rin asked who finally started to wake.
"I smell salt," Morgan answered before looking at Sesshoumaru in childlike glee and accusation. "You didn't tell me that we would be near the sea."
Sesshoumaru just continued to stare at her.
"The castle is built on the cliffs. The Southern Lord's ancestor had a love for the sea."
"But you did not tell me."
"Does it matter?"
"Yes!" Morgan looked back out the window and looked at the water appearing in the distance. She could see the castle but that wasn't as important as the vast amount of blue before her. "I wouldn't have given you such a hard time about coming here."
One of Sesshoumaru's brows lifted.
"Just for the ocean?"
"I love the sea," Morgan explained. "Even after spending all that time on it on our travels, I never lost my love for it. While on the ship, I used to sit on the stern and feel the spray on my face and I would sleep in the crows nest just so I could hear and smell it better."
"I don't see what is so special about it," Rin announced as she leaned over Morgan's shoulder to look. "It's just water."
"It is more than that. It is life. Have you ever been on the sea, Rin, or slept on its shore?"
"No."
Morgan looked over her shoulder and smiled at the adolescent.
"Then don't judge it until you do. Sleep with your window open and listen to it tonight. It’s as good as any mother's lullaby."
Rin looked doubtful but she didn't say anything as she sat back in her seat. She had been to the castle before and had seen and smelt the sea. True, she didn't listen as thoroughly as Morgan wished her too but she had been too wrapped up in boredom anstrustrust to pay any attention. Rin twisted slightly in her discomfort and looked at Jaken. She had more to worry about now. She just hoped that she would be left alone as she normally was.
"We're approaching the castle," Morgan stated. She still hadn't left the window but when the carriage lurched as it landed she forced herself to lean back with a sigh. "I would enjoy it more if I didn't have to go to this masquerade."
"It's only for a few days and nights," Sesshoumaru argued but he seemed to be saying it more to himself than to her. Morgan would have smirked if she hadn't been so miserable. So the lord didn't like these social functions either, big deal, at least he didn't have to where an uncomfortable kimono. Gods and she used to complain about her country's formal attire. At least she had been able to move in them.
"When exactly is this party?" she asked.
"Tonight. You will have time to rest and refresh yourself."
"I don't suppose I can skip it and spend my time on the beach."
"No."
Morgan cracked a smile but it did little to relieve her nerves, which for some reason, began to tense. Butterflies were fluttering in her stomach and it was taking all her will power not to fidget or bite her lip. Up until now, she had thought of the party as nothing more than a waste of time but now she was nervous. Everyone there would be nobles and she was nothing more than a soldier. Sure, in Ireland, she and her pack had been considered as nobles but there weren't really nobles in Ireland. The packs ruled themselves and didn't depend on lords for protection. Japan was completely different and though she had accepted the change, she hadn't been forced into the middle of it all until now. She was going to be surrounded by nobles and even with Jaken and Rin's teachings, she wasn't sure on how to act.
"Calm down," Sesshoumaru ordered.
Morgan raised her eyes to the lord in front of her and saw that he was watching her with a glare that could have been a warning.
"If you don't calm down, they will sense it," he warned. "Then they'll walk all over you, especially the females."
"It's easier said than done," she explained before looking back out the window. She tried to focus on the sea and take her mind off the coming event but as the castle loomed closer, it and the cliffs blocked her view. Her only comfort was the smell and sound but it was of little help.
"They're no different then your pack," Sesshoumaru comforted but it sounded more like he was explaining facts. "You show respect to you leaders but remain strong and firm to keep the lowest members from stealing your position."
Morgan glared at the lord. "I am one of the lower members. I hunt and baby-sit."
"But you are not the lowest."
Morgan sighed and looked away. "No."
"Then you know how to act. Now calm down."
She did but only because she was growing frustrated with Sesshoumaru's own calm nature and the fact that he compared this stuck up youkai to her own pack. In her eyes, they were nothing similar. Everyone was cherished and cared for, even the lowest member, and no one would try and stab each other in the back. Yes, there was gossip, but that was normal everywhere and usually nothing was said that would hurt anyone. The pack treated each other with respect simply for who they were, not for what they were.
The castle was quickly approaching. It looked no different than Sesshoumaru's only it was much bigger. Whoever built it like extravagant things. Rin leaned over her shoulder and looked out the window at the building. She glared at it in contempt before sitting back on the bench.
"I still don't see why I had to come along," she complained.
"Because you are my ward," Sesshoumaru explained.
Morgan hid her smirk and pretended to be interested in the castle. She had already heard this conversation before and the sigh in Sesshoumaru's voice said he was getting sick of it but teenagers had away of loving a topic that allowed them to both complain and annoy the adult.
"They wouldn't even notice if I was here and if they did, they wouldn't care," she complained. "All they would say is 'where is the little human who always tags along with Lord Sesshoumaru' then drop it after they get theirwer.wer. They don't even want me here anyway."
"It is expected that you be here."
Rin rolled her eyes and leaned her head against the wall without looking at him.
"Whatever you say?"
If Morgan had been having a drink, she would have spit it out but instead she looked freighting at the child before looking at Sesshoumaru. He wasn't growling but he was glaring at her in frustrated anger. That had been one of her sayings when she argued with him about social behavior. It was her way of saying 'I'm dropping the subject but I'm right and you're wrong.' She knew that Rin had been present during those times but she never expected the girl to pick it up. She should have known, the pups in her pack were always picking up things from their elders and getting them into a lot of trouble.
Morgan gave an apologetic smile and looked at Rin who was still sulking in her corner.
"Maybe it will be different this time,e coe comforted but it was more a way to get back on Sesshoumaru's good terms, if she ever was on his good terms.
"I thought you didn't want to be here either." Rin stated and glared at Morgan.
"I don't, but mostly because I'm nervous. I've never been to anything like this before and I am a little curious."
Rin's look told her she didn't believe her but it seemed to pacify her as she raised her head.
"Will we have time to walk on the beach?" she asked.
"You might," Sesshoumaru answered before looking out the window, ending all conversation.
Morgan sighed in relief. He may not be talking anymore but at least he was no longer angry with her. This trip would be intolerable enough without his anger.
They remained silent as they entered the gates. Morgan gave a fleeting glance to the guards but the carriage was going to fast for her to get a good look at anyone. The castle itself was extravagant but the grounds were simple. The yard was nice and green with few flowers and trees but those it did have were in partial bloom. Late bloomers considering it was getting late in the season but despite how few there were, it was lovely and the faint scent was pleasant. She preferred Sesshoumaru's with its roses and sakura trees but she kind of liked this yard with its simplicity.
The carriage came to a stop and through the window; Morgan could see the lord waiting at the top steps in front of the entrance to his home. He was a dog youkai like Sesshoumaru but he wasn't as tall or as slender. He was broader and seemed more rugged. It was something she expected from a general, not a lord. His hair was the standard, silver white but it was shorter and hung behind him in a braid. She couldn't really see his face from the distant but from what she could see; he was not a homely male. He was probably handsome but he lacked Sesshoumaru's elegant beauty. The southern lord was wearing the traditional haori and hakama but he chose a royal blue with gold cranes. Sesshoumaru wore his standard colors. Both wore their armor.
The guard opened the door to the carriage and Sesshoumaru slowly got out. Jaken quickly followed and with slow, reluctant movements, Morgan exited the carriage followed by Rin. She felt the lord's eyes fall on her and remain on her, demanding to know who she was but they quickly returned to Sesshoumaru when he descended the finale step. Both respectfully bowed to each other.
"Lord Sesshoumaru, I'm glad you've decided to grace us with your presence."
Jaken had told Morgan that the Lord of the Southern Lands, Michio, was a powerful lord with prosperous land but Lord Sesshoumaru was still more powerful and with richer land, making Lord Michio slightly lower than the western lord.
"It is my honor to be here, Lord Michio," Sesshoumaru responded.
Liar, Morgan thought but she kept her mouth shut and secretly praised Sesshoumaru on his ability to lie so well. There wasn't even the slightest change in his scent.
All three of them, remained respectfully behind Lord Sesshoumaru but after greeting the lord, his eyes fell on them.
"Master Jaken, it is good to see you again."
Jaken bowed low.
"The pleasure is mine."
Shift in scent, bad Jaken. Morgan bit the inside of her cheek to keep the smirk off her face. Michio didn't seem to notice the change or didn't care. His eyes then fell on Rin who had lowered her eyes to the ground.
"This cannot be Lady Rin," Michio stated and stepped passed Lord Sesshoumaru so he could better look at the girl. Morgan watched Sesshoumaru stiffen but said not a word. "This here is a woman, not a little girl."
"It is I, my lord." Rin greeted and bowed.
Michio's smile was broad and seemingly sincere. "You have grown much since I last saw you. You must have many suitors."
"Those that my lord has aloud."
Michio laughed and Morgan secretly cringed. The girl had two suitors and both were close to losing their lives if they kept persisting.
"They must be grand men if your lord has aloud them to court a lady such as yourself."
Rin blushed and bowed in thanks. Unease was radiating off the girl and she glanced up at Sesshoumaru for help. He quickly went to her aid. Unfortunately for Morgan, it directed the lord's attention to her. Sesshoumaru stepped to her side and faced the southern lord.
"This is Lady Morgan, my betrothed."
Note to self: hit him later. Morgan stiffened when the lord faced her but politely bowed as she was taught. She was cautious with her movements since she still wasn't sure if the kimono would allow movement without ripping. Michio stared at her and she swore she saw his eyes darken. She forced her unease aside but was secretly wishing she had her sword. Already she could feel that she wasn't welcome.
"My lord, you have found a beautiful woman," Michio recovered and bowed. "Welcome to my home, Lady Morgan."
Morgan blushed and forced herself to smile.
"You have a beautiful home; I especially love where your ancestors have placed it."
Michio seemed to relax and he smiled at her.
"The sea is a grand thing."
"I couldn't agree more."
Michio's eyes studied her for a moment but at least it wasn't threatening, he just seemed to be trying to finger something out.
"I have never seen eyes that color of green before, and your voice is different. Where are you from?"
"I am from a land called Ireland. It is far across the sea."
"A foreigner. You must have stories to tell."
Morgan shyly smiled.
"Many but I am not the story teller of my pack. That would be the elders."
"I would still like to hear them." Michio smiled and looked at them all. "Come, the day is still young and your journey was long. You should rest." His eyes met Sesshoumaru's. "My daughters are anxious to see you again."
There it was. The Southern Lord had accepted her presence but not the fact that she had accepted Lord Sesshoumaru's partial claim. Morgan had a feeling that the lord or his daughters would try and find a why to make her refuse his claim or to make Sesshoumaru change his mind. Morgan couldn't help but smirk at the lord's back. They would see about that. She may or may not accept Sesshoumaru as her mate but it wasn't going to be because of some noble brats broke them up.
The room they entered was large and empty. Clearly this would be where the party was held. The only decoration was a blue tapestry hung on a wall with the image of a white dog flying above the sea. It would have been beautiful if the beach hadn't been covered in the bodies of the dog's victims. Three young women stood in front of the tapestry. All three were lovely and dressed in formal attire. Two of them were about Morgan's age but the third was much younger and if she had been human, she wouldn't have been much older than Rin. She seemed indifferent to all that was happening and though she looked at Morgan with curiosity, Morgan sensed that she didn't care that she was there. The young lady's eyes met Rin's the two shared a quiet moment between them before her eyes went back to Sesshoumaru. Morgan wasn't able to pick up anything from the young female but the other two she could read like an open book. The eldest was staring at Sesshoumaru with cunning, as if carefully planning her next move and the second was looking at him with fake affection. When they noticed her, their eyes immediately filled with confusion and disgust. Morgan hated them immediately.
"Lord Sesshoumaru, you bless us with your presence," the eldest said and the three bowed. The other two stayed silent, not yet worthy to speak to the lord without being spoken to first.
"The pleasure is mine, my ladies." Sesshoumaru greeted and bowed.
Lie number two.
Michio stepped forward and beside his daughters.
"The rest of you have met my daughters," he explained, "but Morgan, you have not had the honor."
Honor my ass. God, get me out of here.
"This is my eldest, Haruko, my second, Kimi, and my youngest, Aki. My daughters, this is Lady Morgan, Lord Sesshoumaru's betrothed."
All three sets of eyes fell on her, two with utter hatred and on with interest. Normally, Morgan might have felt uncomfortable and would have run from the door but she had sensed since she entered the room that none of them would be a match for her. She was weaker than most of her pack but she was stronger than all three of these nobles combined. She wouldn't dare challenge the lord but she could easily kill his daughters with a flick of her wrist. So instead of running, she bowed in respect but her eyes never left theirs. She mostly stared at the eldest who she felt the biggest threat. Out of all of them, it would be she that would try something. The second didn't seemed to have the courage or the know how but Haruko was already thinking of a way to dispatch her. Mn con could see it in her eyes.
"It is a comfort, seeing the lord find such a strong female," the eldest recovered and all three bowed as expected.
"It is a comfort to me as well," Morgan replied and smirked when she read the outrage in the female's eyes.
The youngest coughed in an attempt to hide a laugh before bowing and excusing herself, silently disengaging in any battle her father expected her to fight. Morgan saw the anger in Lord Michio's eyes but he quickly hid it before apologizing for his youngest rudeness and clapping, a servant came forward.
"Show our guest to their room," he ordered.
The servant, a young kitsue youkai, bowed and led the females and Jaken out of the room. Morgan was tempted to look back at Sesshoumaru, not liking being left alone without him but she forced herself to remain strong and stared at the servant’s back. She faintly heard him ask Michio a question but the words were lost to her when they left through a door that led them through a long hall.
Rin stayed close to her side and Jaken was close on their heels but all were calm and patient as the servant led them to their rooms. She slid open the doors and bowed to them as Rin and Morgan entered. She quickly closed the screen behind them and left to show Jaken his room.
Their room was large with age cge cabinet and mirror against a wall, and thankfully, two futons had been unrolled for them. They would have to sleep side by side to keep the room from getting crowded but since Morgan and spent most of her life with someone resting beside her, she doubted she would lose any sleep tonight. Rin didn't seem to mind as well, since she went right to the window and opened the screen.
"We have a view of the ocean," she said then looked to the door when two servants entered carrying their belongings. "Place them there." She explained and she pointed to the far door.
As Rin instructed the servants, Morgan went to the window. Their room was close enough to the cliff that she was able to see the beach and a stairway that led to it. The water was a bright blue and the tide was low. There would be no moon tonight and the waters would be an inky black that night. But now it’s was bright and seemed calm. The waves rolled onto white sand, spraying white foam across the shore. It was lovely, but Morgan doubted she would be spending much time enjoying it. As Sesshoumaru's betrothed, she would have to spend her time protecting her potential mate from unwanted attention. Morgan sighed and leaned against the windowsill. That would mean she would have to be in contact with him throughout the stay. But where was he sleeping? If his room was close enough she could always smell if he was alone but if he was far enough away, she would have to either camp out at his door or ask him if she could stay with him.
"Where is Sesshoumaru sleeping?" she asked Rin after the servants were leaving and Rin was examining their belongings for damages
"He'll be staying in the next room."
"Are you sure?"
Rin nodded though Morgan's back was turned.
"Except at home, Sesshoumaru always stays in the room next to mine."
Morgan smiled at the thought of the Lord protecting his human ward and relaxed knowing he would be near by.
"We still have a few hours until we have to get ready for the party," Rin explained. "What should we do?"
"Do you need to rest?" Morgan asked and she turned so she could face the girl.
Rin had laid out several Kimonos, some of them were hers but most of them were Morgan's. Morgan eyed them out of curiosity at what the child was planning but she decided to let the girl have her fun and kept silent.
Rin shook her head. "I slept on the carriage."
Morgan smiled, "I know. You drooled."
The look on Rin's face was almost priceless and Morgan couldn't help but smile.
"I did not."
"Only a little." It was a lie. Rin hadn't drooled at all but Morgan could see the laughter creeping into Rin's eyes and she herself had started to feel a little better.
"Well, I don't need to rest."
"Then what do you want to do?"
Rin sighed and looked at the kimonos.
"That's one of the reasons why I hate coming here," she explained. "There's nothing to do."
Morgan gave her a sympathetic look before motioning to the beach with her a toss of her head.
"Let’s take a walk. It's better than staying in this room all day."
Rin sighed but nodded her approval. Morgan smiled and after wrapping arm arm around the girl's shoulders. They left the room and the kimonos lying on the futons and headed for the beach. Who knew? It just might be the only enjoyment they got out of this foolishness.
AN: I finally got the internet but no new chapter yet. There’s too much going on for me to just sit down and write. I got a lot of complaints about my spelling and I’m really sorry but until last weekend, I was using a primitive word document that didn’t have spell check. I’m sorry. I tried to get them all but I have a hell of a time editing my own work and I don’t have the patience to let someone edit it for me. Fortunately, a friend gave me a copy of a much better program. I don’t know when I’ll have the next chapter up but I swear, whenever I have the time, I am working on it. I thank you for your patience and your reviews.
