Kitsune Tails

Chibi crawled away from her dead mothers body, praying that no one would notice her. All she could think was that she had to help Kagome mama. Every breath she took felt like her head was gonna explode. The blow Naraku had givin her, had caused her to bleed severly. The wound on her forehead was throbing. The blood dripping from it got in her eyes so that she could barley see. It was all down her face, some got in her mouth and she could taste her own blood. It left a trail behind her.
"Hold on Kagome mama" she said with determination.

Inu yasha stood helplessly, as he watched the one he loved in the arms of the one he hated. Oh how he wanted to kill Naraku ........slowly.

Kagome was in someones arms. She couldnt remember whos. She didnt feel any pain except a little bit of a head ache. Something told her that she was not safe, that she needed to open her eyes. But something else told her to keep still and not struggle. She didnt know which voice to listen to so she did both. She cracked her right eye open just enough to see whose arms were around her. Naraku! She practicly told the voice that said not to struggle to screw off, until she realized she was probably safer with out him knowing she was awake.
" Welcome to the land of the living" he said coldly.
Ok so fuck that idea, time for plan B. What that was she had no idea. So she did what she did best......she screamed and cried and swung her fists. This got her nothing but a larger head ache. Ok Im a girl being held down by a guy what to do.............WAIT A MINUTE! A GUY! She had the perfect idea. She lifted her leg up and angeld it just right. Then with all the strength she could muster she kicked him ......... right between his legs. Naraku howled in pain as he threw Kagome to the side. Inu yasha took the opprotunity to charge him with tetsuiga. As Naraku roled on the ground in pain Kagome made a dash into the woods. She ran as fast as she could ignoring the scratches she was recieving from the trees all around her. She stummbeld and tripped over the roots covering the forest floor. She got up as quick as she could. Kagome looked behind her at the sounds of swords clashing. She was so busy glancing over heruldeulder that she almost tripped over Chibi. The poor little kitsune was about to bleed to death. She had craweld all the way around the battle scene so she could sneak up behind Naraku. Kagome bent down to try to help her.
"No Kagome mama must not stay! She must go! Chibi has an idea to buy Kagome moma time to go help Inu yasha daddy. Kagome moma must get the jewel away from the bad man! She must!" Chibi said as she coughed up blood. Kagome knew she was right. She couldnt let Naraku keep the jewel, it was her responsibility to protect it. All the innocent lives he would kill would be her fault. And her friends would never be avenged. She hesitently put down Chibi and took the route the kitsune had taken so she could reach Inu yasha without having to get past Naraku in the first place.
Chibi waited until Kagome was out of sight before pulling a leave out of her blood soaked kimono and waiting for Naraku.

Inu yasha was battleing Naraku with all of his strength he had to keep him away from Kagome long enough for her to get away.
"Trying to bide time for your bitch to escape? Tsk tsk, you should know by now that I can retrieve her at anytime faster than you can say dead miko, which she will be soon enough for what she did to me" Naraku chuckeld the look of realization on Inu yasha's face.
Naraku once again did his disapearing act and reapeared with a near dead Kagome limp in his right arm.
"Do you know what a human neck sounds like when it breaks, Inu yasha? Its quite a lovely, and unique sound." he lifted his left hand to stroke Kagomes face. Kagomes eyes fickerd open, they looked exactly like a animal when it is cornerd by a preditor. This look made Naraku smirk. the look on her face turned to pure rage and she bit the hand that stroked her.
"Stupid wench!" Naraku hollered as he held his bleeding hand. Kagome snatched the complete jewel of four souls from him and ran like hell tword Inu yasha.
"Wench go one more inch and I'll blast your ass!" Naraku threatend. Kagome stopped in mid run and stared at him, for a second he thought she was going to turn around and hand him the jewel. That is, before she looked back tword Inu yasha who was only a hundred yards away and threw the jewel to him.
"Naraku go to hell...." she said and spit in his direction.
"Fine be that way" he said, with pure rage he sent a purple energy blast at Kagome. It destroyed everything in its path until it hit its target.
"KAGOME! NO!" Inu yasha yelled as he ran to try to sheild her but he wasnt quick enough. Kagome's lifeless body fell to the ground. Inu yasha screamed and cried he was completly over took by rage. He felt a foriegn power course through his vains.
" KAZE NO KIZU!!!!!" He yelled as his eyes turned blood red. Naraku stared at him in disbelief, without the power of the Shikon no Tama, he wouldnt be able to dodge this attack.
As the wound of the wind hit him, his robes disentigrated revealing the spider shaped burn mark on his back, then his whole body caught a flame and turned to ash. Even his sword had been distroyed by the time the attack ended. All that was left was the baboon pelt that he had removed before their final battle.
Inu yasha was left all alone to morn the death of his love. His eyes turned back to their normal golden color, as the tears swelled in his eyes.
"Kagome please dont leave me, I-I cant live without you." He cried as he lifted her body onto his lap.
"Im not going anywere Inu yasha Im right here." a all too familier voice came from behind him. He lifted his head but was afraid to look behind him, afraid that he was halucenating. He heard soft footsteps approaching him. A gentle and was placed on his shoulder. That soft touch was all he needed. He swung around and embraced the figure before him as tight as he could without hurting her.
"Inu yasha whats going on?" Kagome asked as she saw herself laying on the ground dead. Inu yasha turned around so he could get a better look at the one laying on the ground dead. Upon further investigation they found a small leaf placed on top of her head. When Kagome removed this the dead figure disapeared and reapered as a little female kitsune they knew to well.
"Oh no Chibi!" Kagome c as as she held the little fox in her arms. The kitsune wasnt breathing, her pale blue eyes, though looking at Kagome, had no life in them. Inu yasha wrapped his arm around Kagome.
"You can still fix this" he said as he took something from his pocket and placed it in her hand.
"But this is yours!" she said with tears staining her pale complection. He shook his head at her.
"Im giving it to you" He said as he wrapped his other arm around her for support. She nodded and held the small jewel in her hands , then raised it as high as she could.
" I Gaurdian of the Shikon no Tama Command you to grant my wish" Kagome said as the jewel of four souls began to glow. A bright white ingulfed her and Inu yasha. When the light faded they where in a feild of wild flowers, far away from were they had been, if even in the same world or time even. Standing before them was a beautiful woman in the robes of a preistess. She had a kind and gentle face.
"I am Midoriko, creater of the Shikon no tama, tell me preistess and hanyou what are your wishes?"...........................

A/N: How do you like that! Another cliff hanger! Im olding the last chapter hostage until I get more reveiws! So Review! Or youll never get to see the ending mwahahaha! just kidding !
