After finishing the last of his missive, Sesshoumaru gently placed his brush down to stare off across his city through his window. His thoughts were of nothing but the miko; his miko. Does this human have any idea how she effected him over a course of several days? How swiftly…how easily? He knew the boy was standing there for quite some time, but the imagery of the miko within his mind held…precedence. He looked down to the hanyou’s pet lounging comfortably on the floor beside him. The human looked far too comfortable. Almost as if he genuinely enjoys his status as a pet. And as he watched the male, he found himself wondering if his little miko would happily lounge at his feet eagerly waiting to be the center of his lewd attentions. But then it was that thought that made the demon lord realize how dangerous his fondness for her really was.

“What is it hanyou?” Sesshoumaru picked up his brush.

The half-breed stepped forward into his large study to stand before his desk, his pet right beside him. The human was even so bold as to use the side of Inu Yasha’s leg to lean against comfortably. And his brother didn’t seem bothered at all by his pet’s liberties.

The hanyou cleared his throat. “Your mother sends for ya.”

Sesshoumaru made an annoyed sound at the back of his throat then intertwined his fingers and rested his chin on his knuckles. He looked down curiously at the hanyou’s pet nuzzling his thigh silently. Looking lower, the demon lord noticed the human’s erection standing at attention between is thighs. With a look to the hanyou, the demon lord could tell he didn’t look immune to his pet’s askance for attention. “How long have you owned your pet?”

Confused, Inu Yasha shrugged looking down at his human. “For a year or so.”

Sesshoumaru cocked his head while regarding the male curiously. The human smirked knowingly under his scrutiny and looked to the floor out of respect. Even as he does so, the demon lord noted the human had an air of… impudence about him. But instead of it insulting him, it intrigued him. To have such attitude when one is nothing more than a pet, a slave to another’s carnal demands would leave him to assume that this human was comfortable with his life here if not happy. Where in this human’s time here did he come to accept and enjoy his fate as a pet? “What is his name?”

“Miroku.”

The boy suddenly looked uneasy. Amusing at it was, it was unnecessary. The demon lord looked pointedly to the one name Miroku and beckoned him over with the subtle jerk of head. The male moved to crawl around his table to his side. Sitting up, Sesshoumaru reached over to tilt the man’s head up. His thumb traced gently over the human’s bottom lip as he looked into his violet eyes steadily.

The man had a serene face; dreamy eyes, high cheekbones, and a mischievous mouth that always seemed to be smirking. But regardless of his looks, it wasn’t hard to tell that this human was a knowledgeable, patient man. So much that it was unnerving given how much freedom his brother gives him. If he wanted to be, this human could be meddlesome, especially given his holy nature as a priest. “You may speak freely to answer my questions human.” The man nodded. “How loyal are you to your master?” Sesshoumaru looked deeply into his eyes to catch to tiniest hint of untruth should the human decide to lie.

Miroku smiled slightly, “That even were the odds against me I would defend him to the best of my ability.”

“You are happy here as a pet.” Sesshoumaru stated rather than asked.

“I am. Genuinely so, I might add.”

The demon lord narrowed his eyes slightly. “Why?”

“There are those who grow accustomed to this life as a carnal object of another’s desires, then there are those who craves to be the object of another’s desires. Most especially when that person becomes the sole reason to relinquish such inhibitions to.” The human nuzzled Sesshoumaru’s palm. “It was I who approached Lord Inu Yasha to become his pet. So my situation differs from most here.”

“There is another reason.” Sesshoumaru pulled his hand away from the human’s blatant advance. He’ll let his brother take care of this human’s needs, after this human takes care of his curiosity.

“There is.” Not taking offense to the demon lord’s rejection, Miroku settled comfortably on his haunches. “I wish to enlighten those here, new or otherwise, to the positive aspects of being enslaved.”

“Oi, Miroku…” the hanyou protested with a growl.

Miroku chuckled and rolled his eyes. “My apologies. I meant being bestowed the honor of being a Lord or Ladies pet.”

“Hn.” Sesshoumaru nodded then gestured for the male to return to Inu Yasha’s side. “I wish for your pet to accompany my pet during her free time. You will see to it that she benefits from this association.”

“Yeah sure.” The hanyou said with a scowl of confusion. He left after being dismissed with his pet crawling languidly behind him. The human granted the demon lord a respectful nod over his shoulder before exiting his room.

He had just added an addition to his miko’s daily routine to accommodate her life here as a pet. Yes, he was sure now that this onna have affected him deeply, too deeply. So the question still stands; does he owe his beta gratitude for introducing her into his life?

He wasn’t sure.

“No.” He rasped in that gravely deep voice of his. “The ones I desired seem to already be taken.” He said it so forlornly that she looked up at him to find him still eyeing her heatedly. That wasn’t the look of a forlorn man. “Did you capture her yourself, Lord Aimaru?”

“No, I had purchased her from a roaming merchant.”

Lord Kouga frowned and looked curiously to Lord Aimaru. “A merchant you say?”

Lord Aimaru nodded. “He’s a hanyou that goes by the name Naraku. While he was of questionable character…his wares are of good quality as you can see.” He pulled her chain forcing her to sit up rigidly baring her breast to Lord Kouga’s gaze. If it was possible his pale orbs grew more heated as his lids lowered. An uncontrollable shiver ghosted up her spine.

“Yes, I most certainly can. May I?” He asked never taking his eyes of Kagome. Nervous, she made a small step back away from him.

“You may.” Shocked, she looked up wide eyed at her lord who only smiled down at her affectionately; that same affectionate smile that left her confused on the inside. Damn him. In fact damn them all! Damn them and their self proclaimed superiority and their excessive beauty. Just damn them all together!

Her rant was cut short when she felt the demon in front of her capture her breast in a calloused palm and squeezed gently. On instinct, her hand shot out to backhand the offender only to have her blow caught easily in his larger hand. Surprised more at herself than anything else, she could only sit there stunned letting him caress her hand in his larger ones. Did she really just do that? And why was the urge so strong with him rather that with her own masters who violated her so much more ruthlessly? It made no sense to her; her body made no sense to her. She spared a timid look up to the Wolf Prince to find him grinning warmly at her. While not the reaction she expected him to have towards her, she had counted her blessings and decided to be grateful. He could have reacted a whole lot worse.

“Well that was certainly rude of you precious. All he wanted to do was marvel at your beauty and admire your perfection and you reward his high regard with impertinence.” Even though Lord Aimaru’s voice was calm and rather “pleasant”, she shivered violently at the all too menacing promise she felt, rather than heard, within his tone. She was going to pay dearly for her slight. She just knew it. But…why? Why did she feel so excited? Why? Damn it all!

“Don’t be too hard on her Lord Aimaru. I found I rather enjoyed her…” Lord Kouga looked down at her and grinned widely. His wolfish grin making him devastatingly handsome. She looked away with a blush staining her cheeks. “…little tantrum.”

“You’re much too forgiving my friend. Benevolence like that deserves a ‘thank you’ does it not, precious?” Thank you?! She seethed as she glared up at Lord Aimaru. He expected her to thank him for not having her reprimanded for defending her modesty?! In what world did that make sense? Not in her’s.

She answered her lord and the oh so benevolent Lord Kouga with her blatant dismissal by turning her nose up to them both. Consequences be damned. She’ll allow herself this small ounce of pride.

Lord Kouga chuckled and shook his head. “Aimaru you lucky bastard.” He kept shaking his head as he walked down the hall. “You lucky, lucky bastard. I’ll be around for awhile, call on me sometime wont you?” he called back.

“Of course Lord Kouga.” Lord Aimaru answered happily then walked forward barely giving the miko time to fall instep behind him. “I’ll be sure to bring her along.”

“I couldn’t ask for nothing more.” The wolf prince shouted back.

Lord Aimaru laughed as he continued to drag her down the hall, his paddle resting comfortably on his shoulder and he hummed quietly.

Watching him act so jovial made her tremble curiously. There was no doubt that a harsh will given to her shortly. But knowing this…why, she asked herself again, why wasn’t she afraid?

Sesshoumaru was lounging against the wall of his study staring off into space with his thoughts solely on his miko when her addicting scent entered his lungs making him burn beneath his skin. A much appreciated pleasant surprise and the demon lord didn’t appreciate much.

“Lord Kouga.” Lord Sesshoumaru confirmed and his beta nodded. He spared his miko a look and watched her look away to the floor. Her body trembled and cowered away from his unblinking scrutiny. Interesting, he thought. She didn’t look like one to raise her hand to fly much less a Wolf Lord. “Indeed.”

“But instead of offending our guest, she managed to enamor him with her high strung charm.” Lord Aimaru sent him a thoughtful look. “Much like she has enamored us.”

Sesshoumaru cocked his head slightly still watching his miko squirm uncomfortably. He raked his eyes down her naked body slowly while reveling in the glow of her pale skin; so soft.
