Sesshomaru stalks through the tunnel leading to the hot spring. How dare she be afraid of her alpha? Her future mate! She should know he wouldn’t harm her, she was his to protect. So when he emerged back from the hot spring into the main cave, with a wailing Kagome on his shoulder… let’s just say his mood hadn’t improved. He drops Kagome down on the bed and snarls sharply when she immediately begins scurrying across the large bed to escape.
Kagome freezes when she hears the dark growl before lunging the rest of the way of the bed, more determined than ever to get away from the angry male. Her hands fly out to catch her and slide against the hard floor, skin tearing as a clawed hand wraps around her ankle holding her up, but not before her chin slams against the ground and the side of her neck. Sesshomaru’s other hand slides down to her waist and lifts her up on the bed, before he gently moves her head from side to side checking her injuries.
He sighs as he sees the torn and bleeding skin, “Kagome I don’t understand why you seemed so eager to get away from me but,” he leans down so their noses are touching, “I will not allow my bitch to harm herself” with that he leans down and runs his tongue over the wound on her chin.
Kagome gasps when she does not feel pain, as you would expect from a tongue running over an open wound, and instead feels an almost numbing pleasurable feeling. Kagome sighs and closes her eyes, relaxing as he moves down her neck making sure to get every part of her wounds. Kagome feels a fleeting itchy sensation on her neck and chin before she feels hot breath on her face.
Sesshomaru was in heaven; he was healing his mate with his saliva and sampling her sweet blood. Inu-youkai have natural healing saliva, the only difference is that normally the saliva only helps the healing go quicker and the wound not able to get infected it also hurts. But Sesshomaru’s poison allows him to numb the wound so no pain is felt and also healed it immediately. When he is done he leans over her and watches as her eyes open slowly to reveal hazy blue eyes, her plump pink lips parted as she pants softly. The sight is too much for Sesshomaru who leans down and captures her mouth in a heated kiss.
Kagome gasps and Sesshomaru wastes no time in sliding his tongue into her moist sweet cavern. Their tongues slide along each other seductively and slowly, fighting for dominance playfully. Sesshomaru growls and grinds his achingly hard member against Kagome’s abdomen, groaning at the feel of her soft skin rubbing against his flesh. Kagome flinches when she feels him, her dream resurfacing in her mind, and the pain the piece of flesh had brought her.
“No! Stop!” Kagome cries pushing against his chest, causing a growl to rip out of Sesshomaru when she curls up in a ball on her side trying to shrink away from him.
Sesshomaru wasn’t mad she had pulled away, though he will admit he wasn’t exactly pleased either, he was mad that she was hiding from him and trying to get away from him again. Sesshomaru wraps his arms around her shaking form before rolling so her small body is curled up on top of him. Kagome cries gently her hands wrapped around strands in her hair. Kagome snivels as she tries to calm down and she rubs her cheek against Sesshomaru’s chest as he rubs gentle circles on her back.
Sesshomaru purrs gently when she calms down and hugs her tighter to his chest, “Kagome, you must tell this Sesshomaru what is wrong” when she stiffens he growls, “stop it Miko! You are going to tell this Sesshomaru what he did to make you fear him so!”
Kagome’s heart aches at the sadness she hears in his tone, even though he tried to hide it. She had been so caught up in her dream that she hadn’t stopped to think that it was just that, a dream. Sesshomaru hadn’t done anything to deserve the cruel treatment she was giving him. She stops fighting to get away from him and instead wraps her arms around his neck and hugs him tightly.
“I’m sorry, I just had a bad dream” kagome murmurs.
“What happened in it that made you scared of this Sesshomaru?” he asks in a small hurt tone.
“We were, uh… doing things” kagome stutters blushing deeply and burying her face further into his neck when he chuckles, “and you went to enter me, but it hurt and you wouldn’t stop not matter how much I begged you. I was screaming and crying but you would just laugh.” Kagome’s voice gets wobbly as she finishes tears coming to her eyes.
Sesshomaru growls and rolls so he is on top of her, causing her watery blue eyes to go wide in shock, “Do you not know by now that this Sesshomaru will never hurt you!?” He says agitatedly.
Kagome looks up at him for a moment before she snickers and kisses his nose, “sorry I guess I’m still figuring you out.”
Sesshomaru snorts and hugs her to him before rolling again so they are both on their sides and tugging the furs up over them, “go to sleep woman it’s still late” he mumbles kissing her head, not mentioning the fact it’s already the afternoon of the day after the attack, as they snuggle under the furs wrapped in each other.
Just as Sesshomaru is drifting off he makes sure his barrier is still in place before sighing in consent and falling into a comfortable slumber.

Naraku laughs in delight as he thinks of the previous day’s events.
‘This is what I needed’ he thinks with glee as he remembers the way the Miko had wiped out all of the demons in one shot, along with his puppet, and even though it was merely a puppet it wasn’t easy to wipe out either. He rubs his chin as he thinks about all the things he will accomplish with her by his side. Speaking of getting her too his side…
“Kanna, you mirror” he calls from his throne watching as his daughter glides towards him holding her mirror towards him, “show me kagome.”
He waits, watching the mirror intently, but after a few moments of it not lighting up with an image he gets angry, “Kagome! Show me Kagome, you deaf bitch!” he snarls at Kanna.
“There seems to be a barrier wherever she is” Kanna says in a monotone voice.
Naraku growls, how has she already been moved to a safe place? Or perhaps she is making the barrier? He leans back and rubs his chin thoughtfully.
“Kanna, call Kagura and Hakudōshi in. I have a… errand for them to make.”
