Rin had gathered all her
things she had brought through the well and Souta stood next to her with a bag
with the things he wanted to bring to the other side. He saw the hesitant smile
on her lips and he pulled her into a heart-warming hug.

I�m sure it will be alright my Rin, said Souta.

-

If not I will tear up a hole in space to get you to come to
me, said Rin and her face turned to a resolved one.

Good, now let�s try it out.
They moved to stand on
the edge the old battered well, Souta still with his arms around Rin, and then
they fell.

Rin could feel the time
ripple around them and her eyes were fixed on Soutas dark grey ones the whole
time. He smiled at her as the purple light engulfed them � he was still with
her, he was going through time just as she was. It was working. She smiled back
at him as the light dimmed away and their feet touched the ground on the other
side. She looked up and saw a clear blue sky above.

We made it Souta-kun, she whispered.

-

I knew it, come let us get up from here, said Souta. He was
anxious to meet his long lost sister again. He was not alone anymore. And he was
with the girl he had chosen as his wife too.
Rin�s smile widened when
she felt the aura of her father. She said to Souta to follow her up and so he
did. Once they reached the rim of the well they were helped by a clawed hand.

PAPA!!
she yelled and threw herself at the tall figure, embracing her.

Rin! his dark and rich voice held an ocean of emotions as the
regal demon lord encircled his adoptive daughter�s trembling form.

Papa, Papa� I made it� I did!! But I would not have done it
unless it was for my mate�s help, said Rin and wiped a few tears away from her
eyes. � Papa, meet Souta-kun. He is the younger brother of Kagome-sama. I have
chosen him to be my mate Father. Please, don�t hate me!

Rin�., said Sesshoumaru as his golden eyes wandered over to
the handsome young man that stood next to the well. He could see that boy was
shivering, but he never avoided the lord�s critical eyes. The boy had some back
bone.
Souta was ready to sink
through the ground as the lord eyes his form. But he refused to back or look
away. He wanted to show that he was worthy of Rin�s love.

-

Souta-san? asked Sesshoumaru.

-

Yes, my lord? answered Souta with a steady voice.

You have taken my daughter as your mate?

-

Yes, my lord, that I have. And I love her and I will fight to
keep her by my side, said Souta firmly.

You are the miko Kagome�s younger brother?

-

Yes I am my lord, answered Souta truthfully.

Why did you come with my daughter through the well?

-

Because I could not live without her my lord. She came
through the well, rocked my world and now I can not picture my life without her.
If you try and separate me from her� I will fight you to have her by my side.
She is my light my lord. And I will not let anything come between us.
Sesshoumaru smirked at
the boy�s words. Indeed, the youth had a strong spine in his body. And a strong
spirit, that counted for much in the lord�s eyes. He dropped the icy fa�ade and
took hold of the boy�s right hand and pulled him into his embrace.

You are a worthy mate of my daughter, young Souta-san, said
Sesshoumaru and made Rin gape in surprise.

-

Thank you, my lord, stuttered Souta.

Good, come with me and I will escort you to the village where
your sister is residing, said Sesshoumaru and moved away from the young man.

Papa?

-

Yes Rin-chan?

-

You do not object?

-

Not at all Rin-chan, he�s a good man and I give you my
blessing. But I would like to see Kaede-sama perform a ceremony for you two,
said Sesshoumaru.

Of course papa, said Rin with a happy smile. She hugged Souta
and kissed his lips before they followed the lord down the path that would lead
them to the village where Kagome and Inuyasha lived.
Souta put the back pack
on his shoulders and let his right hand take hold of Rin�s hand. She smiled at
him and he could feel his heart swell with love. For the first time in years he
was complete. He had a woman he loved and he was going to meet his long lost
sister and her new family. He could not ask for more.
