Sesshoumaru lightly brushed InuYasha's hair from his face. After a few minutes of
terror, InuYasha had been taken in for an ultrasound. Tokyo General had added a
department that handled demons, though the fact was not widely known. Shippou was
the head of the Ob-Gyn in that department.

Shippou had started the scan, seeing the baby moving happily. Just a few seconds
later, Sesshoumaru's relief turned to shock as it was revealed InuYasha was indeed
pregnant with twins. InuYasha looked at the screen and smiled.

"I thought there were two. I wonder what happened that I couldn't feel them."
Inu grunted as Shippou moved the wand. "Hey.. careful.." Sesshoumaru took
InuYasha's hand as the babies came into view.

"Well, luckily, you have a full bladder. It is helping me with the scan. I think
the girls were just asleep. Sesshoumaru, if you want to lay on the other table..
I'll take your scan in a moment." Shippou smiled and pointed to the table next to
InuYasha's.

Sesshoumaru sat down and watched Shippou show InuYasha the girl's heads and feet.
He then handed him a few tissues and InuYasha wiped his belly then raced for the
bathroom. Sesshoumaru laid back and bit his lip. This was the first time he'd
had a thing like this done, and he was almost afraid. Shippou winked at him. He
felt Shippou's gentle hands moving his shirt up, and mesuring his stomach. You're
small for as far along Inu said you are, or you're expecting only one.

"Well, Kagome said he was expecting twins... but the thing is.. She could have
been off. " Sesshoumaru shifted as he felt the cool gel squirt out on to his
skin. "What was the pain that InuYasha felt. That's why I rushed him here."
Shippo was entering some information into the computer on the ultrasound machine,
then he looked up. "Well, it's simple. His bladder was full, and when one of the
babies moved, she hit a nerve. He'll be fine." Shippo took the wand and began to
scan Sesshoumaru's abdoman.

He frowned at the image and moved the wand around. He sighed, then found a
heartbeat. It was getting stronger, and he smiled. "Well.. YOU were pregnant
with twins, but you've lost one early on." Shippou moved the wand and showed the
small mass of tissue. Then the other baby moved into view. "Wow.. This is rare,
not that it's uncommon.. but the healthy baby is full demon."

Sesshoumaru looked at the screen and saw the baby moving, but unlike InuYasha's
babies, this one kept turning away from the probe. He laughed. "Well I guess this
one doesn't want us to know the gender." But Sesshoumaru had a deep feeling that
this would be a little boy, and would look just like his father.

Shippou took some tissues and wiped Sesshoumaru's stomach off. "Well, you and
InuYasha have a bond. I guess that once you two stopped fighting, you realized
it. I think it happened when that rogue demon kicked Kagome back through the
well. You were so upset when he almost died from that attack. You shocked us all
when you took care of him."

Sesshoumaru smiled softly as he sat up. "Yeah.. I think that's when I realized
how much he ment to me. That and nearly loosing Rin. I was happy to let you
marry her. You know your great, great granddaughter works for me... her twin
works here."

Shippou smiled. "Yeah, Brooke came to me with a book written about the 'legendary
demons' of our day. What shocked me.. we knew Kagura died, but she's here. She
must have done something right to be re-incarnated. She's still like she was,
looks and memories. But she's calmer. I'm glad I went into medicine, though
since there are now fewer of us, and more pollutants in the air.. we get sicker
than we used to. I hear that you and InuYasha are adopting a cute little angel
named Krista Thomas."

Sesshoumaru smiled broadly at the mention of the little girl's name. "Yes, We are.
She's so beautiful. I almost wish I hadnt signed over her father, but I had to.
It was for his protection. He never knew I was his father, and for some reason,
he had no demon blood to him. But, I think Krista inherited what he didn't. I'm
glad the whole adoption thing is over. When the money Krista's grandmother owes
comes in, I'm putting it into a fund for her college."

Shippou nodded as InuYasha came out of the bathroom. He looked like he felt
better. "You know it's been over seventy years since I've been pregnant... I
forgot about the constipation." He smiled and went over to Sesshoumaru. He looked
at the elder demon with a smile.

"I'm glad that you both are doing well. I'm gonna write your medical release,
InuYasha. I putting you on bedrest, with the scare today, I don't want you to
take any chances...."
