12:� Just Perfect

�� Kagome smiled and started to clean
up a bit.� She and Koga had decided to
fix some food and chill out around the house for a bit.� She could just imagine that she was not
welcome as of yet back at work.� Maybe
she should just start looking for another job, but that would be a black mark
rather early in her nursing career on her resume.

�� Sighing, she was startled when arms
came around her suddenly.� Koga had gone
to rent a movie for them to watch.� He
started tickling her sides and enjoyed it as she squirmed around in his arms.

�Ha�
ha� Koga!� Ok� Stop� it� I am running
out of breath�� Ok� Mercy,� she
continued to pant out.

�� Koga grinned and turned her around
in his arms.� He leaned down and kissed
her until she was compliant and boneless in his arms.� He took this opportunity to sneak the DVD case in her hand as he
kept her distracted.

�That
movie looked good for the mood that we have been in.� Especially after you going to work tonight,� he said smugly as he
guided her to her bed and started to get everything just right for them to
cuddle and watch the movie.

�� Kagome laughed as she saw the title
on the side.

�Spirited
Away?� You just love your anime,� she
stated humorously.� She loved it too,
but she loved to rib him back.

�� She let him set up the space for
comfort and walked over to her shelves where her DVD player was and opened the
case.� She looked curiously down at the
open case as something caught her complete attention.

�Ummmm�
Koga?� What� What is this?� I mean� I know what it is, but what is it
for?�� She stammered out her questions
as she pulled out a stunningly intricate ring that contained a deep blue-green
stone with diamonds in the detail of the band, which resembled woven wood.� The large jewel was circled in golden leafs.

�� Koga moved over to her and scooped
her up in his arms and moved her over to sit on the foot of her bed while he
knelt in front of her with his head in her lap.� �Kagome, I want you to marry me so that your mom, family and I
can see you walk down the aisle at your wedding, and so that you can by human
traditions carry my name.� I want you to
have that, especially before we have a pup.�
I already know that you are the most beautiful mate to ever exist, and I
want you to have a chance to be the most beautiful bride as well.�� He looked up in her eyes and smiled as he
saw the tears that spiked her lashes.

�Yes.� I want that too.� When� how soon� Wow�� she was still stammering but obviously
happy.

�� He came up and over her to kiss her
deeply.

�Let�s
watch this movie.� I want to be with you
tonight.�� Koga turned and finished
putting the disk in and turned on the TV before grabbing the remotes the
technology.

�� They curled up in the bed and
watched the movie blissfully while Kagome loving stroked the ring that her mate
had given her to prove that he loved her.�
She already knew that, but this was something tangible to her.� Well� so was the scar on her shoulder.

The doctor narrowed his eyes as he watched
the couple in bed.� It had already
turned his stomach as he watched that wolf demon fuck his nurse.� It irked him that she would even allow that
other demon to touch her, much less do what he had been doing earlier.� Now, she wore a gift from him.� Well, she was still his while she was on his
turf.� He had no intention of that
changing anytime soon.

He smiled as he watched her curl up, eyes
closed with the cutest look on contentment on her face.

That look was familiar.� To him, it resembled the look that she had
while dealing with some of the patients, blending with the staff-although she
never really did that-and when he saw her out and about.

He did love the way she handled him.� It reminded him of how she used to stand up
to him when she was younger.� It was
hard to believe that this was the same girl.

Kagome lost herself in the movie before
dozing off.� She knew better than to do
that because it would mess up her internal clock, but she felt so warm and
content.

Kagome found herself getting ready for her
shift the next night.� Koga had brought
up the possibility of her taking a vacation for them to leave and go out of
town.�

She pulled on a long sleeved shirt to go
under her scrub top.� It had been really
cool in the ER lately, plus the extra coverage would be nice�

She reminded herself that she would just
have to make it until she eventually got transferred, which would hopefully be
back to the geriatric unit.� She had
like that.� Heck, even the maternity
ward would be nice right about now.

Pulling in a deep breath, she kissed Koga
quickly and made her way down to his car while he locked up.� He was a sight in his uniform as they rushed
to work.

When they got to the hospital, she told
Koga bye and that she would see him in the morning.� She was doing her best at avoiding a repeat of the day before.

She smiled as she pulled her scrubs on
quickly and thought about how after she woke up from her thirty-minute nap, she
and Koga played games and goofed off and just talked.� It was blissful.

Now, she had to face that doctor and work
with him for the next twelve hours.

She stepped into the ER, which was
relatively quiet and began to check charts for the patients that were still in
the rooms.� She started checking meds
and IV�s and checking on the people to make sure that all was well.

Just as she finished with the last person
and was heading into the nurse�s station, she walked smack in the doctor that
she had been avoiding.

�Good
evening Kagome.� I missed you last
night.� I hope you are feeling
better.� You did look dreadful when you
left,� he intoned with false warmth.

�� Kagome shivered almost imperceptibly
at his words.� She didn�t like that he
was trying to be familiar with her, but she decided that it was better to just
nod and try to move around him.

�� She was almost successful at
that.� Almost.

�� An arm shot out and curled around
her waist.� Her back was what landed
against his hard chest when he pulled her against him.� Shock held her still for a span of a
heartbeat before she began to struggle and fight to get out from that
particular spot.

��

�� The doctor tried to hold onto his
prey, but she was able to dredge up more physical energy than he remembered in
her struggle.� This could be a lot of
fun.� It would be some work though, to
over power her already present mating mark, but he could manage it.
