Chapter Twelve

Sesshomaru stared blankly at his mate. He was well aware of courtship or dating between two people but he himself didn't see the need. He had never felt the need to seduce a person female or male into his bed for the night and most came willingly and without question even though they themselves knew it was just Sesshomaru sating his needs on them. InuYasha himself had come willingly and now after all that had gone between them he was now asking for a date. Sesshomaru scoffed at the idea however InuYasha was determined to get what he wanted.
"Father said to show unity in front of the nobles which means we have to work together" his voice was slightly raised causing Sesshomaru to stare at him
"He did however that doesn't mean I have to take you out. It means you have to do as you are told as a good mate"
InuYasha growled and swiftly punched Sesshomaru's face. Silence filled the already quiet room. Before Sesshomaru could respond InuYasha spoke his mind.
"Stop being a Bastard. I have had enough of your attitude and it has to end now. I am carrying your pups and raised YOUR son as well as put up with the treatment you have given me so the very LEAST you could do is take me out every once in a while instead of using me as your puppy carrier and treat me as the mate you have marked me as" InuYasha finished his rant with a sigh as Sesshomaru slowly returned his gaze to him. Sesshomaru found himself smirking at his mate's demand and the fact that he had remained firm in his request and that deserved a reward. Not many were brave enough to talk to him like InuYasha had done and his youkai reveled in that knowledge
"If that is your wish then I will indulge you however I expect my mate to be fully submissive later" Sesshomaru demanded as his long arms snaked around their prey, pulling InuYasha closer as he captured his rosy red lips in a warm passionate kiss. InuYasha moaned and leaned into his brother's touch. The kiss ended however Sesshomaru kept his mate in his embrace.
"Where would you like to go?" Sesshomaru asked. InuYasha thought for a moment.
"I just want to go somewhere that's not here" he answered simply. Sesshomaru nodded.
"Alright then allow me to arrange the evening for us and see if Yuki's dutiful grandparents will be willing to watch him tonight" Sesshomaru said reciving a warm kiss from InuYasha.
"Thank you" and with that InuYasha left Sesshomaru seemingly to skip in excitement while Sesshomaru began planning the evening's events.
Izayoi grinned at her son as she agreed to his request of looking after Yuki while he and Sesshomaru went out; praising her son for holding his ground in getting what he had wanted. She wished him a pleasent evening and prayed it went well. She watched him leave with a smile on her warm loving face.
That night InuYasha found himself dressed in a red silk shirt and plain black trousers. His long thick mane had been washed and brushed to perfection. It was kept loose which was something that Sesshomaru liked. He wondered what his mate had planned.
"Good you are ready. Are you ready to leave?" a smooth familiar voice called out from behind; a voice that sent shivers down his spine; a voice that he knew far too well. He turned to see Sesshomaru standing there dressed in a crisp black silk suit. His long silver hair hung in a tight braid. He strode with pure confidence towards his prey and InuYasha found himself unable to move; he was locked in his brother's intense and unyielding gaze and he soon felt his long arms wrap possesively around his waist; lowering his head he captured InuYasha's lips with his own. InuYasha leaned into the kiss as his youkai encouraged him to submit. They slowly broke apart and Sesshomaru brushed a hand over a soft round cheek affectionatly.
"Shall we go?" he asked breaking the slience that had filled the room with InuYasha nodding in response and the two mates left the building as their evening out began.
InuYasha followed Sesshomaru as he led him to a black limo even going as far as opening the door for him; allowing him to get in first. Once Sesshomaru was seated beside him, the driver turned on the engine and drove to their destination. They sat in silence with Sesshomaru quietly caressing InuYasha's soft flickering ears as he wondered if InuYasha would enjoy the evening he had planned. Soon enough the driver stopped the limo and opened the door. Sesshomaru climbed out first and held his hand out for InuYasha. InuYasha took the hand offered to him as he too climbed out. He watched as Sesshomaru said something to the driver who promptly drove off. Once alone InuYasha looked around the beautiful grassland area where candles on tall candle sticks were scattered around the area. A large blanket was set on the ground for them with a large basket waiting for them. InuYasha gazed wide eyed at his mate who had a triumphant smirk on his regal face.
"Do you approve?" he asked softly. InuYasha remained quiet as he grabbed his mate into a passionate kiss that answered Sesshomaru's question. Sesshomaru returned the kiss as he soon took control. When they parted InuYasha fell softly against his mate who led him to the blanket. InuYasha lowered himself down as Sesshomaru set out the picnic. The romantic gesture showed him that Sesshomaru had put a lot of thought into the evening and it made him feel warm inside. Sesshomaru passed him a glass of none alchoholic wine and one for himself. Since InuYasha wasn't able to drink alchohol due to pregnancy then neither would he. InuYasha cocked his head at the fruity taste.
"I will not drink alcohol while you are carrying." Sesshomaru explained as InuYasha felt touched that Sesshomaru would do that for him. Sesshomaru brought out a range of different meats both raw and cooked and offered him a plate. InuYasha accepted and once Sesshomaru had his plate they began to eat in an enjoyable silence; both content at just being close together. Once the meal was over Sesshomaru returned to the basket and brought out two bowls. One was full of strawberries and the other was full of cream. InuYasha licked his lips in anticipation of the treat as Sesshomaru smirked. He picked up a large strawberry and dipped it into the cream, making sure there was a good amount on the piece of fruit before offering it to his mate. A devilish glint twinkled in his eyes as his mind was filled with dirty thoughts. As though on the same wave length as his elder brother, InuYasha accepted the strawberry as he slowly took the fruit in his mouth a gently bit into it and slowly chewed. Once eaten he finished the strawberry before he picked up a strawberry, dipping it into the cream and offering it to Sesshomaru who ate it in one bite. They fed each other one by one till the bowls were empty with the scent of want and desire increasing. Sesshomaru watched InuYasha like a predator that stalked his prey hungrily. Before InuYasha registered what was happening, Sesshomaru had pounced, capturing his lips as the alpha in him claimed it's submissive mate in a warm embrace. InuYasha moaned and lent into the warm touch as the demon inside him told him to willingly submit especially after his alpha had done something so wonderfull for him. Sesshomaru's touches were gentle as he was taken slowly. When it was finished, InuYasha cuddled close to his mate as his eyes glazed over sleepily as Sesshomaru held him close. By the time the driver came to pick them up, InuYasha was fast asleep. Sesshomaru carried his mate into the limo and once inside they returned home whilst the servets who had setup the romantic setting cleared up. Sesshomaru had given them strict instructions that they were to remain undetected during the evening which they had obeyed, not wanting to loose their lives over it.
