Chapter 13: Sesshomaru�s Heart

A/N: Sess finds himself thinking about Rin in more than just a sexual nature. He starts to see her as the most beautiful and perfect creature he has ever known. Is he falling in love with Rin>

His icy amber eyes secretly followed the dark haired young maiden as she walked along the path in the West garden. It was late afternoon and the sun seemed to make her bronze skin glisten beautifully. Rin stopped beside the small pond and watched the koi fish swimming back and forth. She giggled her laughter floating on the breeze seemingly carried right to Sesshomaru�s ears. Her bubbling laughter made a small smile form on his lips. As of late he had been thinking about the young maiden much more often. It was as if she had permeated his senses never to leave. Sesshomaru watched as Rin leaned over to smell the delicate white roses that were growing near the pond.
Her brown eyes closed as she inhaled the intoxicating fragrance. �Beautiful.� Her silken voice carried up to his ears just as her laughter had done moments earlier. The wheels of his mind began turning rapidly with thought.
�So Rin likes white roses? Then I shall give her something she will not soon forget!� The dog demon quickly headed back up to their chambers. He closed the door and locked it securely so that Rin could not enter. Sesshomaru then headed out of the room through the terrace doors. He took off at an incredible speed towards the forest. The great demon prince stopped when he reached his destination. It was a small meadow that was filled with wildly growing rose bushes that were covered with enormous white roses in full bloom. Sesshomaru quickly gathered up as many roses as he could carry and headed back to the palace. He crept back into their chambers and placed the roses into vases with water.
Sesshomaru made several trips to the wild rose garden until he had plucked every last rose from the bushes. Once they were all tucked into vases filling the entire room with their sweet fragrance he smiled pleased with himself. Then Sesshomaru unlocked the door and went out into the West garden to check on Rin. She sat upon a stone bench her long raven hair billowing in the wind. She was dressed in a beautiful lavender kimono with a darker purple obi holding it closed. He grinned when he noticed that she was barefoot like always. It seemed as if the woman had never worn shoes since the day he had taken her ovhreehree months ago. It was nearly four months since Rin had been brought into his life. She was pregnant with his pup and her stomach had slightly begun to round to accommodate the quickly growing pup inside her.
Rin looked up to see Sesshomaru standing behind her. �Oh Sesshomaru-sama, I didn�t see you there.�
�Rin?�
�Yes Sesshomaru-sama?�

She chewed her lip curiously wondering what sort of surprise Sesshomaru had planned for her. Sesshomaru opened the door and pulled Rin inside. Her brown eyes grew wide when they focused on all of the many vases filled with white roses. Their sweet scent had filled the entire room.
�Oh Sesshomaru!� His amber eyes snapped downward as he heard a strangled sob escape her throat.
�Are you unhappy?�
