Cats and Dogs

With a low growl in his throat,
Baroux signaled his clan to completely surround Inuyasha and the others. Riquo
slowly knelt down to one of the cheetahs that stayed with her and meowed something
in her ear. I want you and the others to
create a barricade between us and the villagers, understand? You are
responsible for their safety if the battle starts here in the village.

The cheetah growled in response and turned to alert the
others, but a wolf stood in her way. Realizing she was completely surrounded,
the lone cheetah started hissing and growling at the wolves. Sango narrowed her
eyes and saw a way to free the cheetah so he could tell the others about
whatever plan Riquo had come up with.

"Kilala!"

Roaring with all she had, Kilala faced the wolves in the
cheetah's way and blasted them with a fire technique. Using all the speed he
could muster the cheetah ran off towards the villagers.

Baroux and his clan took their leave while Inuyasha and the
rest coughed and hacked. By the time the poison had cleared, the entire black
wolf clan was gone without a trace.

"FUCK!" Inuyasha shouted, spearing tetusaiga down.

"Inuyasha, can you track them?" Miroku asked
coughing.

Inuyasha walked off without responding. Kilala sunk her head
down low and whimpered, defeated. Ebony walked over to her and nuzzled Kilala's
head in a comforting gesture.

Miroku looked to the cheetahs, "Can you track
them?"

They bowed their heads and whined sniffing at the ground.
Miroku sighed and walked back into Kaede's hut, gesturing for Kilala, Ebony and
the cheetahs to follow.

"Those that were summoned by Riquo, would you mind
staying until we get her and Sango back?" Miroku asked.

They roared in response, and planted themselves down in the
hut. Hopefully they could find a way to track the black wolf clan once the
poison scent left the air.

Kagome stood there, in the damp cave...paralyzed. She
repeated the scene over and over in her head several times, not believing what
she just heard Kouga say.

"Kagome, you know that I have been in love with you
for a long time now right?"

"Yes Kouga, and I love you
too."

Kouga smiled, "But my love for you will never feel
whole without you fully."

"What do you mean Kouga?"

"Kagome?"

"Yes, Kouga?"

"Will
you be my mate?"

She just
couldn't believe it. Had Kouga actually asked her to be his
mate?! She didn't know what to do. Mating with him would mean staying in the
Feudal Era. Staying in the Feudal Era would mean leaving her family and only
coming back there to visit. Could she do that? And what about school? Kagome
shook her head. I'm the top of my class and I always manage to make up
my work that I have. Besides I'm graduating.

Kouga looked
nervously at Kagome as she contemplated what he just proposed to her. She
looked doubtful and if by the looks of the state Kouga was in, had he been
living in Kagome's time, he would have been classified as the type to deeply
fear rejection. Kouga cleared his throat loudly, jarring Kagome from her
thoughts.

"Did I say
something wrong Kagome? Do you not want to mate with me?"

"Oh Kouga,
it would be wonderful to be you're mate and live with you and your clan.
But...I'm trying to figure out how it would work. My family and friends
are in my time, my home is in my time. I just
travel here to finish something I started. After all, it's my fault the jewel
broke in the first place."

"Kagome,"
Kouga went up to her and wrapped his arms around her holding her close,
"if it wasn't for you breaking the jewel, everything that has happened in
the past three years would never have happened."

"Yea like
Naraku and his kiddy freaks reeking havoc among Japan or psychotic demons trying to get
almighty and powerful."

"Hush my
love, it is not like you to dwell on the negative. I meant all the good
things that have happened. Like you meeting the little fox Shippo, Sango,
Miroku, Riquo," Kouga cleared his throat, and sighed,
"Inuyasha..."

Kagome giggled
at the sarcastic annoyance Kouga was trying to pull off. Kouga tilted her chin
up so she could look into his eyes.

"And
ing ing me. Did that not make you happy?"

"Oh
Kouga...it did."

Kouga smiled,
"So be happy then. Although, in the outer perspective, the jewel breaking
didn't make matters any better, but when you look deeper into it, it brought us
all together. Including you and me."

Kagome leaned
her head against his chest and cried softly. Nothing mattered to her then and
her decision was made. She loved him so much and wanted to be with him
just as much. All she could do from there is take it one day at a time. She
looked up into his eyes and kissed him passionately. He kissed her back and in
that one moment, their love for each other swirled around them.

Kagome broke
the kiss and looked him dead in the eye, "Kouga, I want to be with
you...forever."

Kouga smiled a
100 watt smile and threw his head back and howled. Kagome burst into laughter
and enjoyed the moment. When Kouga stopped Kagome stopped laughing as well and
just grinned stupidly. Then a thought came across her mind that scared her a
little.

"Kouga,
I'm not a demon."

"Um, yea.
Your point?"

"Well
don't all demons know what to do in the mating ritual? I was told they were
just born with that kind of knowledge. I don't have that! I don't know what to
do!!"

"Whoa whoa! Kagome! Calm down! It's not that hard of a concept to
grasp, believe me."

"O-ok,
well then tell me...what do you do in a mating ritual, besides the sex part."

"Well,
usually among couples whom are already mated or..." Kouga shifted
uncomfortably, "in some cases, if they are not, both the male and the
female participate in pleasing each other, understand?"

"Um, in
other words...never mind I get it."

Kouga chuckled,
"Ok, well in the initial mating ritual, the male, being dominant, pleases
the woman and then marks her. The female does nothing to please the male except
mark him in return. Do you get it?"

Kagome blinked
dumbly, "So...in a nutshell�the girl just kinda
lies there while the guy...ahem...pleases
her...and then..." Kagome furrowed her brow, "what do you
mean he marks her?"

"He bites
her neck and then the female does the same thing in return."

Kagome blinked
again, "Say what?!"

"Trust me,
it's pleasurable, there is no pain, even for a human."

"Ok, and
then after they mark each...it's over?"

Kouga laughed,
"Believe me love, if full-blooded demons had the strength to do more after
marking each other, it would be longer."

"Oh,
ok..." Kagome figured ths ths the part where they rip off each others
clothes and he screws her senseless, but since she'd decided to be a little
chatter box, she didn't know how they should start since the moment was dead.
Kagome rocked back and forth on her feet.

"Soo...."

Kouga mentally
rolled his eyes and sped behind her, picking her up in his arms. Kagome gasped
as he raced over to the pallet and laid her down. Before she could say
anything, Kouga seized her mouth with his and ravaged her mouth like he'd never
done before. He quickly stripped off the furs she was wearing and then let her
remove his clothes.

Kouga stared at
the sight that was before him. She was beautiful, from her hair to her swollen
lips, down to the rest of her body. Everything about her was simply stunning.

Kagome took
this opportunity to admire Kouga as well. He had a rock hard body and he was
tan all over. She grazed her eyes down his body, starting at his face, down his
chest, his solis, ds, down to his...Kagome blushed.

Well he
certainly is...extremely...huge.

Kouga bent down
and seized her breast in his mouth. Kagome gasped and arched her back. Kouga
suckled and nibbled like a child on one breast, then moved his attention onto
the next. After that, he wasted no time in spreading her legs and kissing her
inner thighs. Kagome grabbed her head and moaned loudly. Never in her
entire life, had she ever felt anything so pleasurable.

Kouga smirked, kiss
her thigh and she's already getting an orgasm. Wait til
I start kissing your other
lips...that oughta give you
something to scream about.

No sooner had
the thought entered his mind, Kouga stuck his tongue into her and suckled on
her honey sweet center.

And true
enough, Kagome howled.

When her body finally
relaxed, she grabbed his shoulders, "Kouga...please.."

Needing to feel
her around him, Kouga spread her legs farther and entered her slowly, letting
her adjust to him. Kagome squeezed her eyes shut, knowing what was about to
break, and waited. Kouga kissed her hard again and pushed pass he wall.

Kagome's eyes
shot open and her body tensed with pain. Is it supposed to hurt this much? When
the pain transpired, Kouga moved in her at a steady pace. Soon, Kagome began
bucking her hips along with him, catching up to his pace.

Kouga was about
to tell Kagome to move her head back so he could see the flesh on her neck and
let the ritual take over him, but she did it on her own. Wha?
How'd she know to move her head like that?

Before another
thought could enter Kouga's mind, the ritual took over and the cerulean blue in
his eyes spread until it covered his entire eye. Needing that release more than
ever, Kouga bit down onto her. Feeling pain more than pleasure, Kagome
screamed. Kouga licked up the blood he could and then rested his head in the
crook of her neck.

But what he
didn't see or sense as he waited for her to mark him in return, was that her
eyes turned into a deep stormy gray entirely. Her canines on the top and
bottom row of her teeth extended and her nails grew longer. Kagome bit down
onto his neck fiercely and sucked in the blood, closing the wound.

Both of them
screamed with the release that came, Kouga's howl blending with Kagome's roar.
Then he collapsed onto her and rolled over, bringing her to lie next to him.
Panting, Kouga looked down and noticed that Kagome had already passed out from
exhaustion.

Not noticing
the changes in her features, he too drifted into a blissful slumber.

A/N: UH
OH! another cliffy! damn..i am good. i didn't want to make this lemon seem better than the riquo/inuyasha lemon b/c i had
initially wanted them to be my main couple. but don't worry..i
will have 1 maybe 2 more lemons for each couple later on and they will be
STEAMY!! ~_^ oh ya..and i figured out how to italicize and bold my text. so thanks
to no one for telling me! haha i
did it on my own! gimme a pat on the back and a
cookie and bitch at me to write more! ha ha aighty since this is the second chapter i've
written in less than two days..i think i deserve a break......nah just kiddin!
