Chapter 13
�� Inuyasha
and Kouga stood in the field facing each other.� Inuyasha felt his
heart rate increase as he looked at Kouga, he
believed what Kagome had said, but he was still afraid of hurting his
mate.� He gripped the new sword even
tighter and felt sweat run down his face.�
Don�t fear,
I will not harm your mate.� You can use
the full strength and he will be ok.�
Trust me. �He heard a voice say in the back of
his mind.
His eyes widened and he looked down at the sword, Dragonclaw, is that you?
Yes.�
How can you be talking?
As Kagome said, I am special.� Our aura�s have
melded so we can communicate.� It makes
it easier for me to teach you how to use attacks and to keep you and those you
love safe.
Inuyasha looked at the sword in awe.� Why would Kagome give him such a special
sword?� This sword was obviously very
rare and had a power that was unlike anything he had ever seen.� A sword with a spirit.
That�s right, I am a spirit.� I was a warrior like you, I had this sword
forged from one of my fangs and kept a part of my soul in it so that I would
always be a warrior.� The only problem
was finding someone worthy of me.� Your
friend gave me to you because she knew you were such a person.� The swords she gave your mate were my friends, they did the same as me.� She has excellent taste.�
My friends are very happy with the
choice she made for them as well.� They
are speaking to him right now.� When they
are done we can begin with your training as well as his.� You have no need to fear.� In the training you can use full strength and
won�t be hurt. Inuyasha nodded at the sword.�
Kagome had so much faith in him, how could she be so goddamn forgiving?

Sesshomaru watched the two in the field
closely.� Not too long after they had
taken their stances he had noticed an interesting light come around them.� He looked questioningly at Kagome.
�The swords are talking to them, reassuring them that they
can use their strength without fear of harming the other,� she said with a
smile.
�The swords are talking to them?� Sesshomaru
asked in surprise.
The only sword that he had ever known to talk was Sounga and that sword was pure evil.� What kind of swords were these?� Would they take over their owners as well?
�Don�t worry Sess, they are nothing
like Sounga.�
These swords belonged to warriors who wished to be warriors
forever.� They put a part of their souls
into the swords to live on.� They don�t
want to take over, they simply want to be warriors.�
�How is that possible?� Sesshomaru
asked.
�Old magic and a deep desire.�
They are definitely special and now they are happy that they have found
worthy warriors to wield them.�
�I can sense an odd power, won�t Naraku
pick up on all of this power coming from here.�
I have no desire for him to attack my palace and my people?� Sesshomaru questioned after thinking for a minute about all
this new information.
�I have already taken care of it.� You already had your palace hidden, but after
Naraku left I put up a barrier all the way to the
forest.� He cannot see us and he cannot
sense any of our auras.� I also left
images of us heading east to throw him off should he use Kanna
to try to find us,� she said smiling.
Sesshomaru was stunned.� She thought of everything and she had taken
care of it long before he even thought of it.�
Finally he smiled back and leaned down to kiss her.
�You are amazing, you know that?� he asked wrapping his arms
around her.
Kagome was still a little stunned by the change in him.� She had always thought he hated her and now
he was completely different.� He was even
showing emotions so easily to her.� She
had to admit she liked it, she never expected him to be this passionate.� She felt warmth in her heart at the way he
was acting toward her, she could feel his love warming
her.� She kissed him again and then
turned and leaned into him to watch Inuyasha and Kouga.
The light around them slowly faded and she could sense they
were ready to start.� She felt Sesshomaru lean his head down to rest his chin on her head
as he watched.� Inuyasha
took his stance and they could feel him gathering energy for the attack.� The sword glowed an orangish yellow color as the energy gathered in it.� He raised the sword and swung in an arch
across his midsection.
�Dragonfire!� he yelled.
Kagome and Sesshomaru watched as
fire in the form of a dragon shot straight toward Kouga.� Sesshomaru�s eyes
widened as he watched the attack.� It was
not as powerful as tetsusaiga, but it was still
impressive.� The dragon was only a foot
away from Kouga when a green light surrounded him and
the dragon disappeared.� Kouga and Inuyasha stood there
for a minute in complete silence.
These swords were amazing!�
Kouga smiled at his mate, he was proud to have
such a strong person by his side.
�That was great Inuyasha!� he
yelled, �You ready for me to try?�
Inuyasha nodded and Kouga
brought his swords up.� He crossed them
in front of his body.� They began to glow
green as he gathered energy into them, when he felt that it was ready he swung
both swords outward.
�Tiger�s roar!� he yelled.
Green light shot from the swords and two tigers formed.� The ground shook as the energy shot toward Inuyasha.� The tigers
shot straight toward Inuyasha the energy�s massive
vibrations only affecting the target.�
When the tigers where about a foot from Iuyasha
the orangish yellow light surrounded him and the
tigers disappeared.� Sesshomaru
was once again amazed by the power of the swords.
�Impressive,� he said holding Kagome closer.
�Yes, I think I will let them test the combined power,� she
said with a glint in her eye.
�What are you planning?� Sesshomaru
asked suspicious right away recognizing that glint.
�Stay here and watch koi,� she said
and started walking toward the field.
She had made it two steps when Sesshomaru
realized what she planned, �I don�t think that�s a good idea,� he said grabbing
her wrist quickly as he started to panic.
She turned to him and smiled again, �Trust me, I will be
fine.� If you don�t let go I will have to
lock you in a barrier so that I can help them.�
They need to see what combining the swords powers can do.�
Sesshomaru stood for a moment unable to let
go.� He knew he should trust her, but he
didn�t want to take the chance that she could be hurt.� Finally he released her wrist and consented.
�Fine, but you better not get yourself hurt.�
�I make no promises on hurt, but I won�t die how about that?�
she said winking as she started to walk toward the others again.
Sesshomaru felt his heart jump in his
throat.� Damn it he knew he shouldn�t
have let go.� He really hoped she was
just joking.

Kouga and Inuyasha
turned to Kagome as she approached them.�
They noticed as her clothes suddenly changed into her black fight clothes.� What was she planning?� They looked at each other questioningly then
joined her.
�Hey Kagome, these swords are amazing.� So what�s up?� Kouga
asked pulling her into a hug.
�I�m glad you like the swords, but you haven�t seen anything
yet,� she said with a mischivious smile.
�Kagome I love the sword, but seriously what are you
planning?� Inuyasha asked a little nervous.
�You two are going to combine your swords powers and attack
me.� You need to see the full potential
together and coordinate your attacks,� she said looking at each of them.
�No way in hell!� Are
you crazy?� We�re not going to attack
you,� Inuyasha yelled.
�Trust me, I will be fine.�
Inuyasha and Kouga
were about to protest again when their sword started to talk again.�
She�s right, you need to practice with our
combined powers.� We are like brothers
and our strength together is something you will need to work on.
�No, we�ll hurt her,� Inuyasha said
looking down at the sword.
Kouga nodded his agreement.� Oh you
won�t hurt her.� Her power�s
surpass even our combined strength.� She
will be fine, she has a good point about you needing
to practice though.
Inuyasha and Kouga
looked at each other in indecision.� They
could understand needing to practice with the combined power, but they didn�t
want to risk hurting Kagome.
Finally they sighed in defeat, �Fine, but you better not get
hurt,� Inuyasha said.
Kagome smiled at them, �Don�t worry, oh and by the way, don�t
hold back,� she said and turned to walk to the opposite side of the field.
Sesshomaru stood where she had left him feeling
his heart pound in his chest.� He watched
as she walked to one end of the field and Kouga and Inuyasha walked to the other.� Kouga and Inuyasha were still worried even though their swords tried
to calm them.
Don�t hold back, she will be fine, we
promise.
They arrived at their end and turned to face her across the
field.� They could both feel their heart
pounding in her chest as they took their stance.� Kagome stood across the field completely
relaxed.� She smiled reassuringly at
them.� Kouga
gulped and positioned his swords, Inuyasha
took a deep breath and did the same.�
They started to gather all of their energy into the swords.�
They tried to hold back, but the swords would not let them,
reminding them of what she said.� The
swords glowed brighter and brighter as more energy gathered in them.� Sesshomaru felt his
heart stop as he felt the energy in the swords growing stronger and
stronger.� He was about to move out there
and put a stop to this when a barrier surrounded him preventing him from
moving.
He felt panic building as he realized he couldn�t get
out.� He started to bang on the barrier
trying to break it, but it was too strong.�
Kagome stood calmly in the field as the energy built up in the swords.
�Dragonfire!�
�Tiger�s roar!�
Kouga and Inuyasha
yelled swinging their swords.� To Sesshomaru everything seemed to move in slow motion.� The dragon and the tigers shot from the
swords combining together.� The light
from the two attacks seemed to swirl together.�
Kouga and Inuyasha
watched as well both felt their heart stop as the attack moved to Kagome.� The power was immense, how the hell did she plan
to survive that?
Kagome just stood calmly watching the energy shoot straight
at her.� Sesshomaru,
Kouga and Inuyasha felt a
panic beyond anything they had ever felt before as the attack closed in on
Kagome.� Suddenly she smiled and stuck
one hand out in front of her.� The attack
hit its mark and an explosion of light erupted in the field.� They all had to turn as the light was too
bright.�
After a minute the light faded and they quickly turned to
look for their friend.� There was so much
dust everywhere they couldn�t see.� Sesshomaru stood in the barrier his eyes wide trying to
find Kagome among the dust.� Kouga and Inuyasha stood in complete shock.� Slowly the dust cleared and they all gasped
in shock as they saw Kagome standing there completely unscathed.
Sesshomaru let out a breath he didn�t realize
he was holding.� The barrier dropped and
he ran toward her, Kouga and Inuyasha
not far behind.� They all stopped and
their eyes widened as they noticed the extent of the damage.� There was a huge crater that started in front
of Kagome and spread around both sides of her going all the way into the
forest.� The energy had actually struck
and then separted around her.
Sesshomaru looked down into the crater and was
surprised at how deep it was.� With the
swords combined they definitely had the power to match Tetsusaiga.� Sesshomaru jumped
over the crater and pulled Kagome into his arms breathing in her scent to calm
himself.� Inuyasha
and Kouga both stood and watched in shock, they had
never seen Sesshomaru like this before and it was
almost scary.
�Don�t ever scare me like that again,� Sesshomaru
whispered into Kagome�s ear holding her tightly to him.
�I told you to trust me, but I am sorry I worried you,� she
whispered back kissing his neck lightly.
After a few minutes Sesshomaru
reluctantly released her.� She smiled
reassuringly at him and then turned her attention to Kouga
and Inuyasha.
�That was very good you two, I think you will be just fine,�
she said.
�What the hell was that?�
You call that protecting her?� they heard Bankotsu
yell as he ran into the field with the other two mercenaries at his heels.
Kagome stepped over the crater and walked up to them, �I am
the one who insisted, I was in no danger.�
They needed to practice and I told them to do so,� she told them with a
tone of finalty.
Bankotsu turned his attention from the three
demons in the field to Kagome, �Are you ok?�
�I am perfectly fine.�
There is no need for you to worry about training exercises.�
Bankotsu was still pissed that Sesshomaru had let her place herself in that position and
even more pissed at the other two for taking a shot at her, but he reigned it
in.� He knew he could trust Kagome and
her decisions and if she was the one that insisted on this then he knew she was
in no real danger.� After a minute he
nodded and started to walk away.�
Kagome turned back to the others, �So, do you want to try
again?� she asked.
Kouga and Inuyasha
both shook their heads, �No I�m still a little shaken up,� Inuyasha
said taking a deep shaky breath.
�Yeah, me too.�
We�ll try again tomorrow,� Kouga agreed taking
Inuyasha�s hand.
Kagome smiled at them, she knew that they would be a little
shaken after the first attempt, so she nodded and turned back to the crater in
the ground.� She raised her hand and the crater
disappeared leaving the field completely unscathed.� Sesshomaru pulled
her into his arms again as soon as she was done.� He wouldn�t admit it, but he was still pretty
shaken too.
�Did you want to train now?� Kagome asked looking up into his
eyes.
�No, I don�t think I can right now,� Sesshomaru
said leaning down to kiss her.
Kouga and Inuyasha
walked back to the castle, they needed to rest after that.� Sesshomaru pulled
back after a few minutes and took Kagome�s hand to lead her back to the palace.
�He led her up to his chambers and his
personal hot spring.� Once the door
closed he pulled her into his arms again and kissed her with all the love and
passion he possessed.� Her arms snaked
around his neck and she moaned as she opened her mouth a little wider for him.
His tongue explored every part of her mouth taking in her
delicious taste.� They began to undress
each other, their mouths never separating.�
When he finally had the last of her clothes off he
picked her up and entered the hot spring, settling down with her cuddled in his
lap.� He sighed in happiness as he felt
her relax against him.� They sat there in
silence just relaxing in the warm water.
Finally, Sesshomaru reached for the
basket with the soaps and grabbed one and a washcloth.� He lathered it up and began to wash her
body.� As he did he reveled in the feel
of her soft skin, commiting it all to memory.� The feel, the scent, every
curve.� When he finished washing
her body she slipped the washcloth from his hand and began to wash him.� He almost purred at the feel of her soft
touch as she cleaned him.
When she rubbed over his manhood he almost moaned and had to
calm himself.� She kissed him and gently
pulled him forward.� She straddled his
lap and continued to kiss him as she rubbed his back down with the
washcloth.� Sesshomaru�s
breathing became faster and he could feel his body responding to her.� She gasped as his manhood poked her thigh and
pulled back a little.
He could smell her arousal as well and it was not helping him
to get himself under control.� He gasped
in surprise when she reached down between them and wrapped her hand around
him.� She slowly started to stroke him
and he groaned and threw his head back.�
Her small hand felt so good against his throbbing member.� She leaned forward and kissed his neck as she
continued to stroke him.
He started to thrust into her hand her mouth trailing kisses
down his neck and chest, leaving a trail of fire in their wake.� She took one of his nipples in her mouth and
gently bit it causing him to groan again.�
He could feel himself coming closer to his release.� She stroked a little faster squeezing him a
little as she kissed across his chest.�
She reached his other nipple and bit it gently sending him over the
edge.
He was swept away in bliss higher than he had ever felt
before.� When his vision finally cleared
he leaned forward and pulled Kagome to his chest, claiming her lips with his.
