Hola! Hope you all enjoy this next chapter. Please leave a review!
Also just want to apologize for the weird 1-whole-paragraph thing that comes up when I first update. I don't know why it does this, but after I post I have to go through and actually separate everything to make it easier to read. So, just know that I WILL do it, I just have to go and manually do it every time after posting. Anyway, here's the next chapter for you guys :)

Kagome woke what felt like minutes later, when it reality it had been hours, to an overwhelming feeling of urgency formed in the pit of her stomach. It was a powerful feeling of need that enveloped her being, causing a chill to run up her spine.
Sitting up, Kagome clutched her stomach as she quickly got out of bed and went over to her dresser to grab some clothes. She wanted to figure out what this sensation was. Her response to this overwhelming feeling was instantaneous; she knew she needed to go to whatever, or whoever, was reaching out to her. It was like a calling.
After getting into some more suitable clothing, she slipped on her shoes and poked her head out of her door. The guards outside of her door emerged from the shadows, their eyes twinkling through the darkness.
“You should be sleeping, Miss,” One of the guards came to stand a few feet in front of her, now their shape more obvious from the moonlight. He was short and had green skin, he looked like a toad. Kagome inwardly laughed at his high-pitched voice. He only had a staff in his hands that was two times his height, which also bared two heads at the top; one female and one male.
“I know, but I couldn’t. I’ve been sleeping a lot lately,” Kagome wasn’t about to tell him this urgency she felt. Whatever it was, was so painfully obviously calling out to her. She could feel the pull to go to wherever it was as if she were being tugged on by a rope.
“Maybe after a nice refreshing bath you will feel much more tired,” The toad demon started to push Kagome back into her room, his head only meeting her knees. He was like a toddler.
Again, Kagome had to hold back a giggle, “I’m actually feeling pretty hungry.” Kagome side-stepped out of him pushing her back into her room and started to walk in the direction of where she was being pulled.
“M-Miss Kagome you come back here this instant! Lord Sesshoumaru will not be very happy about you disobeying his orders!” the toad demon started to scramble after her.
Kagome stopped and turned towards the toddler-demon, “What is your name?”
He finally made it to her side and replied, “Jaken, M’lday.”
“Well, Jaken, I am hungry. I would like some food. I’m sure Lord Sesshoumaru would not be happy to hear that you were starving his precious Miko to death after having just recovered from previous people attempting to kill her!” Kagome ‘humph’d’ then continued in the direction she started, hands on her hips haughtily.
Jaken sweat-dropped as he started to scramble after her again, “I would n-never suggest starving you Lady Kagome! I was merely suggesting you take a nice bath and I would prepare you a sufficient meal!”
Stopping and putting both hands over her face, as if she were completely distressed and about to cry, Kagome dramatically responded, “I j-just wanted to get some food. I-I never get to s-set food out of my r-room and I f-finally felt good e-enough,” Kagome fake-sobbed.
Despite Jaken’s ability to smell her tears, he didn’t seem to pay attention to the fact that there weren’t any, because he started to worry over her little outburst. Her quick change from angry to sad was like an on-off switch, “I never meant to distress you M’Lady! Please calm down! I will fetch you some food right now! Wait here and I will send guards to walk with you wherever you please!” Jaken’s high-pitched, worried voice carried over to her as he quickly ran in the opposite direction, probably off to do as he said as fast as possible. He knew that it was his hide if Sesshoumaru found out how upset she had been.
Kagome uncovered her face and quickly made a run for it. She continued the way she was going. She didn’t know where or how long it would take her to get where she wanted to, so she just let the invisible rope tugging at her to lead the way. Over the course of her and Jaken’s interaction, the pull had gotten stronger. She didn’t know what she was about to get into, but she didn’t have a choice. Her heart was telling her she had to do this.

Sesshoumaru now stood in front of the pitiful wind demon that was Kagura. She sat before him on the ground, chained and beaten. Her face was in a sneer as she looked up at her Lord. How dare he treat her as one of his slaves! She was the Lady of this kingdom!
Her Lord slanted his eyes as he looked down at her, disgusted. He couldn’t believe that he had taken this witch to be his mate. Of course he knew it was all for the purpose of becoming stronger than all, but in some ways it was almost not worth it to him.
Veering his eyes up to the chains binding her in place, he thought to himself about what exactly he wanted to do. Of course he was seething inside, but he knew acting on emotions was childish. He wanted to do this the right way. And that meant breaking her-- inside and out--, physically and emotionally. His eyes settled back down onto her form before he sat down onto his haunches, getting in close to her.
Gently grabbing her chin, he pulled her face upwards. Her anger seemed to dissipate at his gentleness. Hope was in her eyes as he stared at her. She looked as if she were about to cry, “Please,” she whispered inaudibly. He heard her because of his obvious demon-nature.
Sesshoumaru ran his thumb over the soft skin of her chin then looked at her trembling lips before his gaze drifted back up to her eyes. His voice was casual, but as hard as steel and as cold as ice as he spoke, “Are you ready to die, Kagura?”
~~~~
Jaken had sent guards to accompany Kagome as she wandered the kingdom, only to have them come back to Jaken, who was currently in the kitchen quarters, stating that she was nowhere to be found. Jaken’s eyes immediately widened and looked as if they were about to pop from his tiny skull. A shrill, odd shriek could be heard through the mansion’s corridors.
“Did you hear that?” One of the maids a few rooms down asked another maid.
“Probably was another cat that got into Sesshoumaru’s poison collection,” the second maid continued with her duties, thinking nothing of it.
Shrugging, the first maid continued with her work.
Back in the kitchen, Jaken started hitting the demons with his staff, “IMBECILES! I GIVE YOU ONE TASK AND YOU CAN’T EVEN KEEP TRACK OF A HUMAN GIRL! I WILL HAVE YOUR HEADS!” Jaken yelled at the two demons.
Jaken left as quickly as possible after beating some sense into the two demons, he decided to look for her himself. “The stupid human tricked me! Lord Sesshoumaru will hear of this!”
~~~~
Kagome continued to run towards her destination. It was odd, she had never felt anything like it before. Every once in a while the “rope” would randomly pull her in a different direction, as if telling her to change directions. After a number of times, she figured it out. It was taking her away from the others residing in the mansion. She could feel it halting her, as if putting a barrier in her tracks and pushing her into another hallway when someone, usually a human, would be just coming down the previous hallway she was coming from.
As she got closer to the source that was pulling her, the urgency grew stronger. It was so overwhelming, it had made her heart race just by getting closer. It was if a different being was inside her, unable to hold in their excitement of going wherever they were going. She had an odd suspicion it was her miko powers reacting to this sensation. All of her senses were on high alert, she knew it had to be for a reason.
Finally, as if it were a light at the end of a tunnel, Kagome saw a door ahead of her. With the adrenaline screaming through her veins, she exerted her body to move faster.
Smiling as she panted hard from her exertion, she practically slammed into the door as she tried to work the handle. Her hands were shaking from all the excitement coursing through her. She had to calm herself just in order to open the door.
Closing her eyes and willing herself to catch her breath, she opened her eyes moments later and slowly opened the door, peering inside. Her eyes went wide as she stepped inside.
~~~~
Jaken was getting frustrated as it seemed the mere human was able to outrun him, so he called for his (really, Sesshoumaru’s) two-headed dragon mount, Ah-Un. He directed the dragon to move quickly to find the girl, but to not break anything. He was thankful for the large mansion, otherwise the dragon wouldn’t have fit. Though, Sesshoumaru was prepared for any kind of demon to be residing in these walls, so it wasn’t that much of a surprise.
After a few minutes, it seemed as if they had finally made a good lead. They were not that far from the girl anymore, her scent was so close. He could smell her just a few corridors away.
Urging Ah-Un to move faster, they finally made it to the hallway her scent was strongest. Jaken could see Kagome standing in the doorway of the only room at the end of the hallway. “Aha! You there, Girl! I have found you! Come here at once so I may take you back to your chambers! You know better than to run off like that,” Ah-Un was now walking towards Kagome, with Jaken still on his back.
“Maybe I won’t tell Lord Sesshoumaru about this event if you promise to be good from now on!” More like to keep him out of trouble.
Jaken continued to talk, not noticing how Kagome wasn’t listening to a word he said. A second later, Ah-Un made a grunting noise and halted his movement. “What is it? Move forward, beast!” Jaken pointed in Kagome’s direction.
Ah-Un grunted again as he tried to move forward once more, but was unable. “Useless beast,” Jaken jumped off the dragon’s back and started forward himself. “Girl! I won’t ask you again! We are going back to your room at once! If you don’t- UMPH!” Jaken seemed to have rammed into something and fell on his behind mid-sentence.
Frowning, Jaken jumped up and ran forward again, only to be thrown back with the same force. “What is this!? A barrier?” Jaken placed his staff in front of him and attempted to use the breath of fire from his two-headed staff. The fire was immediately absorbed and nothing happened.
Jaken stood there frustrated, not knowing what to do. “Girl! Don’t make me repeat myself! We must go!” Jaken’s voice shrieked.
Kagome didn’t seem to listen to him at all, and slowly stepped into the room. As she moved in further, Jaken could see figure in front of her. Wide-eyed, Jaken ran quickly to Ah-Un’s side and directed him elsewhere. “Make haste, beast! We don’t have much time!”
~~~~
Sesshoumaru had his hands knuckle-deep inside of Kagura’s chest when Jaken came running in. He was panting and very much out of breath from the stairs he had to come down to reach the torture chambers.
“M’LORD THE LADY HAS GONE MISSING!”
Sesshoumaru leered from the corner of his eye at Jaken, “Are you that blind as to not see that she is right in front of your eyes?”
Jaken shook his head rapidly, “NO M’LORD, LADY KAGOME!”
Sesshoumaru’s eyebrow twitched at the mention of Kagome as he pulled out his claws from Kagura’s chest. He was just about to rip her heart from her body when he had been interrupted.
Kagura couldn’t have been more thankful. She was in excruciating pain and could feel the tips of his claws against her most precious organ. Surprisingly, she didn’t seem to feel his poison as he did this. He probably had something else planned. She knew that if he was gone long enough, she may be able to heal from this wound in time to try and get away.
Sesshoumaru now was walking towards Jaken, the blood still on his hands, dripping.
“COME M’LORD I WILL SHOW YOU THE WAY!” Jaken scrambled up the steps quickly. But apparently not fast enough, since Sesshoumaru grabbed him by his head and flitted to the top of the stairs to where Ah-Un stood waiting.
Throwing the currently-wailing-Jaken onto the dragon, Sesshoumaru mounted Ah-Un and gave Jaken a fierce look, implying to direct them to the Miko.
Taking Ah-Un’s reigns, they started to quickly move in the direction of Kagome. Her scent now was completely masked by something. So, Jaken directed them by memory.
~~~~
After minutes passed, Jaken, Ah-Un, and Sesshoumaru all arrived in front of the barrier once more. Sesshoumaru gracefully got off the dragon and moved towards the door Jaken said she had gone into.
Upon reaching the barrier, all that had come in contact with it had begun to spark around him like pink little electric shocks. Sesshoumaru saw his armor and clothing start to melt away so he took one step back, still not affected by the shocks that jolted through him. He didn’t seem to care or mind at all.
Sesshoumaru was very familiar with this barrier. He had encountered it before. He knew what he had to do in order to break it, that was not hard in the least. He just knew that once he was past this barrier, he wouldn’t be able to control himself very well.
His anger was already getting the best of him, having something of his taken from him. This would not do. Unless, of course, this was actually the miko’s doing. In which case, the necklace he had given to her was not doing what it was intended to do.
Either way, his anger at this time was reaching new heights. If she had tried to run away, that was worse. He could handle those trying to attempt an escape. They’d be dead before they left the castle. But, how was he supposed to handle her?
Deciding to figure it out as soon as he got there, he took a step forward again, enveloping himself in the pink electricity.
