Kagome sighed as she sat on a bench in the garden. It was mid summer and it was so hot. But in the shade of the Cherry Blossom trees, and the steady breeze she was actually staying very cool. Opening sad eyes she looked down at the water. Five months ago, she would have thought that this would have been perfect with Inuyasha, Sanog and Miroku. Even Shippo and Kirara around her. And she was still trying to come to terms with how she ended up pregnant by and madly in love with the man who took her friends away from her and raped her. 'I guess it is sort of like that American show Mama used to watch. General Hospital. Luke raped Laura, and they ended up madly in love and married. I could always look at it like that.'
"Kagome?"
Looking up Kagome gasped when she saw Totosai walking toward her. "Totosai! How are you? I am so happy to see you."
Letting her pull him into her arms he smiled. "I am doing good. Child I know. I know it all."
Letting him ease out of her arms she rested her hands on her stomach. "I don't know what is wrong with me about that Totosai. He....." She then looked over her shoulder to see Karasu and Rin were still on the other side of the garden and sighed. "He raped me. Killed everyone I cared about. And yet I love him and I am actually excited about having these pups." Turning back to the pond she let her eyes half close as tears spilled down her cheeks. "There has got to be somethign wrong with me."
"There is nothing wrong with you. Just remember that sometimes time has a way of healing a heart. Since he has been nice to you since then, that is why you love him. Otherwise I doubt that you are the kind of person that would run back to someone you didn't really love. Pregnant or not after that."
"That is true. And I don't know why I do but I love him so much. I just wish that what he did wouldn't keep getting in the way of it."
Totosai smiled. "It will get better. I promise. Right now I am going to go see Sesshomaru. I am also going to stick around. I want to see what they look like."
Laughing Kagome nodded as she rubbed her stomach. "You, Sesshomaru, and Rin are the only ones that believe me that there is two pups in here. Just what kind is the question."
"Kind?"
"Like Geninji or like Inuyasha."
"I see. I will see you later girl."

"Sesshomaru."
Looking up to see Totosai, Sesshomaru nodded as he walked on in the room. "You have it all?"
"I got the last thing I needed from her in the garden. A piece of her hair. Once she is asleep the night she has the kids, I will take a hair from each and then cast the spell taking your arm right above the elbow."
Nodding Sesshomaru walked over and watched as Kagome sat talking to Rin now. "Good. I want that to happen as soon as possible. So it can be erased."
"Sesshomaru she really does love you. For whatever that is worth. I won't forget or forgive you for what you did either. Not only what you did to her, but what you did to Lord Inuyasha and the others. Just remember that fact."
"I do not ask for your forgiveness or for you to forget about it. But if doing this will allow her to forget about it. I would do it. Even if she didn't bond with my lifespan."
"What?"
Looking over his shoulder Sesshomaru had stern eyes. "If it erases the memory of my killing those she killed, and forcing myself on her then that would be worth it even if she doesn't take on my life span. That way she would be truly happy for the rest of her life and that is all I really care about."
"Sesshomaru!"
Flinching and turning to see Karasu helping to hold Kagome up and the way she held her stomach he gasped. "Tonight is the night. She is in labor."

"I swear I am going to rip that damned thing off and shove it down your throat! These pups are it! I am done!"
Shaking her head Kimi kept her arms crossed as she stood by the window on the other side of the room. "Really miko? Must you scream like that and say such things? Rin is outside."
"Oh stuff it! You don't even like me you only had a change of heart cause of the fact Sesshomaru is their father. And yes I said their! If you can't just shut the hell up and let me do this without your mouth shooting off then get the hell out!"

Growling Kimi turned her head away from the miko. 'I swear I wish I could kill her!'
Checking the miko's progress the midwife gave her a smile. "My Lady it is time to see if you have a son or a daughter."
Nodding, Kagome didn't feel like arguing with her again on this. She knew that she was having twins. She just knew it! "Let's go!"

Sesshomaru froze next to the door with wide eyes when he heard the conversation. It was time! He focused on his hearing. Groans. Heavy breathing. Then just a couple of moments later, there was a healthy wail. "A pup."
Letting out an excited squeal Rin started to run around him. "I am a big sister! I wonder if I have a brother or sister!?"
"Here comes the second one!"
With a smile, just being able to picture his mother's face right now, Sesshomaru sighed. "Perhaps one of each."
"What the hell are you doing! Give them to me!"
Turning and throwing the door open Sesshomaru growled as he used his demon speed to snatch both of his pups from the midwife and one of her asistance. The traces of blood visible on their tiny necks. Without a word he glared at his mother as he walked over to the terrified and crying miko. "Here they are."
Taking first one than the other of her pups, both still covered in blood they hadn't been whiped off she let her tears fall. "Thank you."
Turning on the women in question he growled. Raising his right hand he brought his poison whip to life and took off their heads. Then turned to his mother. "I thought you cared now? Why didn't you stop them?"
"I have my reasons." 'Damnit!'
Turning back to his mate he sighed as he knelt next to her. "Kagome?"
"Just take us back to our room. Please?"
"Hai." Sesshomaru then, for the very last time lifted his mate fully into both arms, along with his pups and headed for their bedroom. "They are fine."
Letting her tears fall from her eyes she nodded. "I know that. But I see the scratches. They were really going to.........."
"Hush. They did not." Walking in their room he smiled as he lay her on her side of the bed. "So what did we have?"
Smiling as she let him take their daughter, she let even more tears fall from her eyes. "One of each. A son and a daughter. You have our daughter."
Looking down at the pup in his arms as she opened her eyes he smiled. She had sky blue eyes with a tuff of white hair and white ears just like Inuyasha. Looking down at his son, he let out a small sigh. Except for the fact that his son had half demon dog ears like Inuyasha, he was the spitting image of his own father. "Well he looks exactly like my father. WIth different ears."
Laughing she looked up at him and winked. "Well that will be his name. Inutaisho. So you get to pick her name."
Looking into her eyes again he thought for a moment. Her eyes were bright blue. Like a clear spring day. "Sora. Her eyes are the color of a cloudless sky."
Taking her daughter back into her arms she smiled as she sank against the pillow. After all she had been through, she couldn't believe that she was about two lose the two best things that she had ever done in her life. No matter how much she hated how she got pregnant with them. Her children were going to grow up loved, and happy.
