Hisashi could not wait to be done with this business. Were it not for his devotion to the great Lady Shiki he would never be able to go through with such acts of violence.
Hopefully, after this girl, it would be enough.
Her screams were becoming distant now that he neared the entrance to the cave.
It was late, and a moonless night. He paused for breath, and looked up at the night time stars.
He squinted.
It seemed he was not alone.
Little demons were running. He held up his staff. Prepared to do battle.
But the monsters moved past him, not even entering the cave, but moved away into the forest.
As if they were running from something.
What on earth…?
He raised his staff, but it seemed he had fallen. Everything was spinning.
Spinning very fast.
He stared and thought it strange that his body would be so far away, laying on the ground.
And even stranger was the beautiful man with long white hair looking rather indifferent as he stepped past corpse and into the cave.
Where Lady Shiki now rested.
How strange…
Everything went dark.
