Chapter 15 - Marco Polo
Guiding Memory (Stella's Soundtrack Challenge 2)
Sesshoumaru awoke to find that it had gotten dark while they slept. He was surprised to discover that he was once again alone in bed. Where had she gone? He wasn't nearly as concerned as he had been the last time, when they first started their relationship, and he discovered that Kagome had enhanced night vision. The taiyoukai rose from the bed and quickly pulled on his pants, setting out to find his future mate.
Her scent seemed to be everywhere as he used his nose to locate Kagome. His beast reveled in the search. It was rather like a game of 'hide and seek' as he followed his sense of smell, walking through the large house. Wherever she had gone, she had taken a circuitous route to get there. As he passed the back patio, the taiyoukai noticed that the lights in the pool were on. Taking a closer look, he spotted his miko floating in the water.
For a moment he was frightened, thinking that she had drowned, but as he moved closer he realized that she was slowly swimming on her back. The relief that flooded through him was immense, and he rushed to the edge of the pool. He stood there in silence, waiting for her to notice his presence. When she failed to after nearly a full minute, he cleared his throat, smirking as she jumped in surprise.
"Sesshoumaru! You found me."
"I was unaware you were hiding," he replied with a smirk.
Urban Unease (Stella's Soundtrack Challenge 2)
"Not hiding. Just enjoying the pool. It's too bad your apartment doesn't have one," she said with an adorable pout.
"Our apartment, and that can be changed. If you desire a pool, we can move."
Kagome rolled her eyes. "We are not moving just because I like to swim. I can always come here. The water's nice. You should go change so you can join me. I love to swim at night. It seems so peaceful."
"This Sesshoumaru does not need to change to join you," he said with a wicked grin. The taiyoukai dropped his pants and watched as Kagome blushed while he waded into the pool.
"What if someone comes out here?" she hissed in embarrassment. "They'll find you naked in the pool!"
"I have nothing to be ashamed of," he said, his grin widening. "Nothing to hide."
Kagome couldn't help but laugh. "Someone has a high opinion of themselves."
"Do you disagree?" he asked, only half-worried about the answer. He knew she enjoyed his cock a great deal, but there was still a shred of insecurity that all males had, worried that the woman they were with had had a better lover in the past.
The miko laughed again. "No, I think you're big enough," she teased, "but that doesn't mean your family needs to see it."

"No one will bother us," he purred as he swam closer to Kagome. He wrapped his arms around her, his legs kicking beneath the water to keep their heads above the surface. "I think that you should remove your suit, as well." She was wearing a tiny red bikini, but he would much prefer it if she were nude. He had never had sex in a swimming pool before, and he was definitely interested in giving it a shot.
Kagome frowned at the taiyoukai holding her. "I am not doing it in the pool," she declared.
"Are you certain?" he asked seductively. "I am sure I can change your mind."
"Nope, not in the pool. If that's all you want, then you can get right back out, mister. I'm swimming here."
Sesshoumaru sighed dramatically, but released the miko, watching as she swam away to the other end of the large pool.
An idea struck the miko, and she smiled. "Close your eyes," she ordered.
"Why?" he asked.
"Don't question me. Just do it. I bet you can't find me."
Understanding dawned on the taiyoukai, and he did as she asked, closing his eyes. He heard splashing as she moved about the pool, and he tried his best to pinpoint her location. Scent was no help in the water, and so he had to rely only on sound and the way the water moved against his body, telling him what direction she was in.

"Marco," he called out playfully.
Kagome's smile widened, thrilled that Sesshoumaru was willing to play her little game. "Polo," she said before diving under the water and swimming past him to the other end of the pool.
"What do I get when I catch you?" he asked, his eyes pinched tightly closed as he tried to analyze what his senses were telling him. He was quickly learning that Kagome was a great deal better at this game than he was, even with his powerful demonic senses. He had no idea where she was. The sound of her breathing caught his ears, and he turned and began to head in her direction.
"I don't know yet," she replied from behind him, and Sesshoumaru frowned. How did she get over there so quickly? Apparently the miko was an excellent swimmer and very adept at doing so silently. He felt the water shift around his legs, and he turned once more, trying to pinpoint her location.
"Marco," he called out, more serious this time. He was determined to catch her and claim whatever prize she thought up.
"Polo," she said, once again behind him. "You're never going to catch me. I'm too good at this game. Inuyasha can never catch me, either."
Sesshoumaru mentally frowned at the thought of the hanyou playing this game with his miko. It seemed so wrong that Inuyasha had done everything with her first. His brother knew everything there was to know about Kagome, and he was still learning very basic things, like that she enjoyed swimming. He had no idea until just minutes ago when it was obvious it was a passion of hers. She was incredibly talented, as if she belonged in the water, and he was the last to know. They obviously still had a lot to learn about each other.
"Do you not desire for me to catch you?" he asked her.
"Of course I do," she said with a small smile. "But that doesn't mean I have to take it easy on you."
They continued their game for several minutes, Sesshoumaru growing more and more frustrated with his inability to catch the miko. Finally, Kagome took pity on him and stopped directly behind the taiyoukai. She ran her hand down his bare back while whispering, "Polo."
Sesshoumaru turned quickly and his hands caught her waist, pulling her body close to his. His hard cock brushed up against her thigh, and Kagome moaned. He pressed his lips to hers in a heated kiss, hoping to change her mind, but when she pulled away, she shook her head.

"What is so amusing?" he asked.
"You look like a sailboat without the sail, just the big mast standing up!" Unable to resist for long, Kagome swam to his side and wrapped her hand around his length. "Aren't you cold?" she asked, curious about such a sensitive part of his body standing out of the warm water of the heated pool.
Sesshoumaru merely shot her a look that said 'Demons don't get cold,' and Kagome laughed again. She was surprised when he suddenly moved; wrapping his arms around her once more.
"You touched me first," he purred at her as he slowly backed them into the shallow end of the pool until his feet could touch bottom. His hands moved from her waist to her breasts, finding her nipples already hard, and he untied the knot at her back, slipping off the tiny bit of fabric and leaving it to float on the surface.

Sesshoumaru merely nodded his agreement, fighting down a smirk. If she enjoyed being nude in the pool, perhaps she could be convinced to do so again. He wasn't kidding. He would happily move so that they could have a private pool for the miko to use. If no one else had access, she couldn't use getting caught as an excuse not to have sex in the water. He had greatly enjoyed himself.
The couple got out of the pool, Kagome wrapping herself in a large towel. Sesshoumaru dried himself off as much as possible before tugging on his pants, and they headed upstairs to the taiyoukai's room, since Kagome's bed was still covered in piles of her belongings, though they knocked a good bit of it onto the ground with their earlier activities that afternoon. Neither thought to collect the miko's bathing suit, which was left floating in the pool, evidence of their activities.

The next morning, Kagome's prodding awoke Sesshoumaru. "Is there a problem?" he asked sleepily.
"Damn right, there's a problem. We forgot my bathing suit last night in the pool, and now I can't find it!"
"Calm yourself," he said in what he hoped was a comforting tone. "I'm sure there is a logical explanation."
"Yeah, someone found it! Someone knows what we did last night!"
Sesshoumaru couldn't help but chuckle at the distress in her tone. "So? Relax, Kagome. I can assure you we were not the first couple to have sex in that pool. Inuyasha has been caught doing so numerous times. It is not the end of the world. It is early still. Go back to sleep."
With a huff, the miko snuggled back into the bed and tried her best to fall asleep, though her mind tormented her with the possibilities of who might know what they had done. Besides, that was her favorite bathing suit!

Later that morning, Sesshoumaru found himself being called into his father's study. He was annoyed, as he had been attempting to help Kagome pack her things. "What is it this time?" he asked the old dog.
Inu smirked. "This morning as I was having coffee by the pool, I noticed the pump was making a strange sound. You won't believe what I found in the filter."
Sesshoumaru's eyes widened, and he cursed. Kagome would not be thrilled by this turn of events. "Kagome's bathing suit, I assume," he replied.
"Sesshoumaru, my son, I know about young love. I know that when you are near her, you stop thinking with your head and start thinking only with your penis, but you must stop being so foolish."
"The hanyou has had sex in the pool before," he answered in annoyance. He didn't need a lecture about where he could have sex with his soon-to-be mate!
"Yes, but that was before. Did you forget that we had security cameras installed around the outside of the house, including the pool area? You did it again, Sesshoumaru. You had sex on camera. Kagome will not be pleased if she were to find out. How could you not remember about the cameras?"
The young taiyoukai sighed. "I don't know. She was there in the pool in that skimpy bikini, and I forgot about everything else."
"You need to tell her. At some point she will see the cameras and realize what happened. She practically lives in that pool while she is here."
Sesshoumaru nodded. "I will tell her about it this time, but not about the aquarium."
"I am not sure that lying to her is wise, even if she will be mortified. You are trying to build a healthy relationship."
"You're the one that suggested I just destroy the disc and never mention it to her."
"And now I realize that was not necessarily the best advice. A relationship is built on trust. A lie laid on the foundation could cause the whole structure to crumble."
Sesshoumaru sighed again. "I will think about it. You will not be watching last night's security feed, correct?"
"Of course not, son. I told you, I have no desire to see the girl I consider my daughter in a compromising position."
"Where is her bathing suit?"
Inu handed the taiyoukai a bag and Sesshoumaru took it, leaving without another word. Before they left for home, he was going to have to check out that security feed and perhaps make a copy before deleting the files. Maybe he was wrong about how Kagome would respond. She was getting more adventurous. Perhaps she would like to view their sex tapes together. He wouldn't mind doing so a bit.
