A/N~I want to apologize in advance for any bad spelling or grammar. I had to write this on my kindle, more computer problems.

Also shout out to Ree-san. I wanted to thank you for pointing that out and I was laughing because I actually planned on having kagome ask about what it meant to be courted by a dog demon and ask about dog demons as a whole ^-^ it makes me happy that my readers catch stuff like that because sometimes I don't.

Kagome sits out in one of the many sections of the garden, underneath a sakura tree. Her eyes seem emotionless as she stares off into the horizon. It pained sesshomaru to see her like that knowing he wouldn't be able to comfort her the way he should be doing. If he was a less prideful demon he would admit seeing her like that scared him. For the short time he had known her she had been strong and fearless, even sticking up to him no matter what if she didn't agree.
He had tried to comfort her a few days earlier and it had resulted in her giving loud keening wails, begging to be left alone. Ever since then he had honored her wishes to handle her grief in her own way, but it was becoming to much for him. So he decided today he was going to pull his mate out of her despair and do everything in his power to make her smile.
Kagome didn't even react to his presence when he stopped next to her, and simply continued staring silently. Sesshomaru sits on the ground next to her his back against the tree, before scooping her up into his lap. He growls soothingly as he holds her to his chest.
Kagome's face scrunches up in sadness as tears fall from her glassy blue eyes. She turns and wraps her arms around his neck sobbing quietly, expressing her first emotion in days. Sesshomaru continues to purr softly feeling as his mate relaxes against him, her sobbing quieting to soft snivles. He buries his face in her neck and places tender kisses on her courting Mark, causing her to shudder in pleasure.
"Sesshomaru? I've been thinking a lot lately about everything and I realized, I have no idea what courting means or anything about inu youkai" kagome murmurs softly as she plays with his hair.
Sesshomaru sensing her need to be distracted asks, "would you rather learn about courting first our inu youkai first?"
"It doesn't matter" kagome says softly.
Sesshomaru nods," inu youkai are one of the most powerful and purest races of all demons. Our breed is a very unique breed for we tend to be very possessive of our things by nature, terribly so" kagome nods her head," not to say other demons aren't possessive of some things, like their mates perhaps, but they don't get possessive of everything they have. A inu youkai's home is one if the things they get highly possessive about, hence why the major inu family's have huge manors to live in. The things an inu youkai is most possessive of is its mate. When a inu youkai finds its mate it will almost immediately whisk them away and hide them from the world to begin the courting stage. The courting stage is when the two mates begin to get to know each other, both physically and emotionally," he grins when he sees her face turn pink and chuckles before continuing, "the male will put a mark on his chosen to tell all others to stay away if she were to ever get out of his sight. That is the mark you have on your neck," he nips it softly," the mark is highly sensitive and also if you were to ever get into trouble I would feel it through your mark and be able to pin point your location. The courting stage will go on for as long as it takes for us to feel ready to mate and then your courting Mark will be replaced with a mating mark, binding us forever. When we mate this sesshomaru will get stronger and form a stronger connection with you mentally, meaning we will be able to talk to each other in our minds. I will be strengthened in order to be able to protect you and your life span will be lengthened to match this sesshomaru's. I will only become more possessive after our mating," kagome groans, “and you'll be lucky to have a moment out of bed for about two weeks after our mating. Inu youkai mate for life so I wouldn't be able to take another nor would I want too."
"But then why did your father go with other women even though he was mated?" Kagome questions.
Sesshomaru sighs, "my father was at a bad time in his life. My mother had been pupped and it was a still born. Instead of facing his grief and being there for his grieving mate he buried his sorrows in sake and women" sesshomaru's voice became hard, "he was oblivious to his mates utter heart break at his actions and had finally decided to stop when inuyasha's mother appeared ruining what relationship my father and mother had left" sesshomaru's features were stormy and kagome wraps her arms around his neck, "can you tell me more about what will be expected of me as your mate?"
Sesshomaru purrs at her unconscious acceptance of being his mate, "you will be the lady of the western lands when I rise and claim the title of Lord from my father, you will be expected to plan any balls or dinners and to serve me my meals, "when he sees her irritated look he changes his wording," to take care of me and I will return the favor. You won't make scenes in public and if you have any problems you are to come to me and ask for help not another or try to handle it on your own. Also you need to understand who the alpha of this relation ship is, you can't challenge me like you did when we were at the cave or call me a serving wench or any other degrading titles."
"So I'm going to be your obedient little pet?!" Kagome asks angrily.
"No you will simply be respectful and not insult this sesshomaru when you yourself hate insults on your person" sesshomaru growls.
"Thanks for telling me all this AFTER you did the whole courting Mark thing" Kagome huffs in annoyance.
Sesshomaru nips her nose playfully, "you would have still agreed to mating me, I'm irresistible"
Kagome glares at him playfully, happy to have her min off of the demise of her village, her friends and family. All of them gone....
Sesshomaru sighs when he smells sorrow entering her scent and stands with her cradled in his arms, dashing off to their chambers to make her mind to turn to more pleasurable things

Inuyasha rolls his eyes when he sees his brother disappear with kagome, lust hanging thickly in the air. He looks around trying to fight off his boredom when he hears his mother voice calling out to him.
"Inuyasha! Go get ready kikyo, koga, and their family's are coming to visit!" She barley finishes her sentence before he rushes to his room to look presentable.
Izaiyoi glances where sesshomaru had disappeared with that bitch and feels a cruel smile twist her lips. Soon enough a tragic accident would happen and sesshomaru will be forced to take the spot of Lord of the western lands and ruler of inu's, their family being the most powerful. When he does she will do what she does best and ensure her spot in the dogs closest and most precious treasures.
'Enjoy him while it lasts kagome, soon you won't be able too' Izaiyoi grins before walking away.

A/N~ 0-0 what does izaiyoi have planned?!!! I won't tell hehe.
