The Game part 1

Chapter 15

Time went by, and it was now time for Shippo�s
Birthday Celebration. It�s only been a few days since Inuyasha left to collect
Raizen, and since Kagome had finally consented to the mating. Now came time for
the event everyone had been waiting for. Now was the time that every one would
finally meet their missing grandmother, Shippo�s
adoptive mother. Which was weird, to say the least, since most of Kagome�s
grandchildren would be very much older than herself. Though Kagome was overwhelmed
and eagerly waited for the party to begin, her mates on the other hand were a
bit disconcerted. How else could they describe what they were feeling? Since
they were mated to Kagome, her family had now become a part of theirs. They
knew that Kagome had never been with another man, but still it was a bit
confusing that Kagome has so many grandchildren, and most of them were either
full demons, half demons, or partial demons. Especially since all of them were
older than Kagome. It was a good thing they knew about her travels to the past,
otherwise they would think they had landed in an insane asylum, and they were
the only two sane ones their.

Even though Kagome knew her mates were nervous and worried
about meeting their new grandchildren, she didn�t know that their nervousness
could be attributed to something else as well. Both Kurama and Yusuke had hired
a demon jewel maker to fashion a set of engagement rings along with a set of
wedding rings. They both wanted to go through the human wedding ritual. They
had already gotten Sesshoumaru�s blessing as well as permission to hold the
ceremony at the castle. Both sets of rings were to be made to look beautiful
alone, but once joined they would accented each other and look as if their were one. The two engagement rings would be meant to
be joined together as well as the wedding rings. The engagement rings were
finished, and they both planned on asking her for her hand of marriage on the
day of Shippou�s Party. The reason for this was actually Shippou�s idea. He had
invited Kagome�s family to join the festivities as well as Kurama�s mother. It
was now past time for Kurama�s mother to find out the truth about her only son.
Kurama only hoped that she would be able to accept him. His one and only true
fear was that his mother would reject him.

Inuyasha was still not back, and Shippou seemed about to get
pissed. Not once, since Kagome had disappeared out of their lives, had Inuyasha
missed his birthday. Shippou knew that Inuyasha would do everything in his power
to be there, but he also knew how stubborn Raizen could be. He just hoped that
Inuyasha could make it. Even if he had to drag the reluctant demon, then so be
it. He liked Raizen, he really did. But even he could see how similar those two
were. Raizen reminds Shippou a lot of Inuyasha, when he is not in the presence
of lower level demons. Inuyasha only acts like himself around those he truly
trusts, mainly family. It constantly amazes Shippou how much Inuyasha had
changed over the years. But right now, all Shippou could think about was that
if Inuyasha misses this day, he would personally offer challenge to him and
proceed to try and best him in the dojo. Through all his training, he has not
once been able to best Inuyasha, but then again Inuyasha can no longer best him
either. It seems they are equally matched.

While Shippou was busy worrying about whether Inuyasha would
be able to make it to the party or not, the women were busy getting ready for
the party. It would be starting any minute and they had decided to get ready
themselves. They wanted to look their best so that they could tease the men
they were in love with. Yes, they had all finally admitted to themselves as
well as each other that they were in love. Though Kagome
appeared to be the only one not surprised when Sango had finally announced that
she and Hiei are mates. The other girls knowing who Hiei is were amazed
that he was even mated. They just couldn�t picture antisocial Hiei dating, much
less mated to a female, a human female at that.

�Why is everyone so shocked that I�m mated to Hiei?� Sango
asked confused. True her mate was a bit short, but he was hunky to say the
least.

�Well it�s like this. Hiei, is
Hiei.� Keiko managed to say.

Shizuro sighed, it seemed that
Keiko was worthless when it came to explanations. �What she means is that Hiei
is a bit antisocial. In all the time we have known him, he has never shown any
interest in a female, demon or otherwise. In fact he seemed to almost despise
humans.� She explained.

�Yeah, and doesn�t he seem a bit scary to you. I mean he is
cute and all, but he is very scary.� Botan said as well.

�Come on you guys, Hiei is not scary. As a matter of fact, I
find his presence comforting.� Kagome said.

�Hiei isn�t all bad, he can be
gentle and very protective of those he cares about.� Yukina added. Then went
towards Sango and gave her a hug. �Welcome into the family sister.� Yukina said
warmly, glad to have another sister.

�Yeah, welcome to the family. Wait a minute you are already
my sister. So who do I get to accept into the family? Can�t with Hiei, he�s
already my brother and Yukina is already my other sister. Oh man this sucks.�
Kagome pouted.

Sango laughed at her friends� expression. �Don�t worry
Kagome, I can still drill your mates and make sure they treat you right. I�m
sure Hiei is already doing it, now I get to have fun as well. Hey wanna go and see them squirm?� Sango asked evilly.

Kagome looked her friend over and give her question some
considerable thought. Then an idea occurred to her. This seems like it�s gonna be fun. �Hey you all up for some
fun?� Kagome asked, with an devilish tint in
her eyes.

The girls looked at her and saw that look in her eyes. They
didn�t trust it for a minute. But unfortunately they were all very curious
people and their curiosity got the better of them. It was Shizuro who spoke
first. �What do you have in mind?�

Kagome grinned. This was going to be so much fun. �A game,
it�s a game we can all play with our mates at the party.� Kagome said
innocently.

Sango knew better than to trust that innocent look of
Kagome�s. �What kind of game, and where do our mates come into it?� Sango asked
suspiciously.

Kagome looked at each girl in turn. �This game will require
that all of you participate. Each and every one of you.
So once you agree, there is no backing out.� Kagome said in all seriousness. �Before
I tell you all that it entails, I want to know who would be willing to participate? That is who has enough courage and daring to
pull it off. Or who is too weak to even consider it?� Kagome taunted the women.
They all looked at each other. It seemed Kagome knew exactly which buttons to
push.

Sango looked at Kagome. �Your
playing as well?� She asked.

Kagome grinned mischievously. �Of course.
I wouldn�t miss it.�

�I�m in.� Sango said. If she�s willing to play, then it can�t be too bad, can it?
Sango asked herself.

Shizuro looked at Sango and Kagome,
she was no coward when it came to dares and what not. And it couldn�t be
anything to bad since Kagome seemed more than willing to participate. �I�m in.�
She said finally.

Keiko looked at them all, and thought it over for a few
seconds. All she knew was that the game was going to involve the guys.
Considering she and Miroku were currently at a stale mate, she decided to go
for it. Maybe this is what they both needed to break the tension between them.
�I�m in.�

Yukina is by nature shy, and even though she had finally
admitted to having feelings for Higaro, she was afraid of being rejected.
Higaro seemed to only treat her as if she was his younger sister, and even then
he treated her with utmost gentleness. She was growing tired of it. She didn�t
know what to do to get him to notice her, Yukina. �I�m in.�

Botan was the last to agree. She really did like her boss Koenma, but he only saw her as an employee. That and he was far above her reach. Botan didn�t think she had a chance
with him, but oh well. It was time to find out. �I�m in.� She finally agreed.

Kagome grinned. This was going to be so much fun. �Okay here
are the rules. The game is basically a teasing game. Of course if you want to
do more than just tease that�s up to you. The objective of the game is to see
who can break the male they are interested in first. In my and Sango�s case, we are to tease our mates and make them lose
control. You know most of the males we are interested in have extreme control
of their demonic blood, their instincts, so they are usually able to control
themselves. We are going to tear that control down. First we will dress
provocatively, then we will proceed to seduce them.
The last one to break will have to pay the fine. The first one to win will be
able to dare any one of us to do anything, within reason. By within reason, I
mean no bodily harm to them or others or emotional harm. Well not extreme
emotional harm anyways. If we all think the dare is too harsh, then the winner
will have to think up another one. Questions.� Kagome
said.

All the girls groaned. Though this was the opportunity they
had been looking for they were not sure on how to accomplish it. �What is there
is more than one loser?� Yukina asked prudently.

�If that is the case, then they would all pay the fine.�
Kagome said.

Shizuro was intrigued. �What is the fine?�

�A practical joke, shared by all on the
male there are interested in.� Kagome replied. �If you need any help on
performing the prank, please feel free to ask.� Suddenly there was a knocking
on the door.

�Hello Kagome are you in here?� A beautiful dark haired
woman asked peeking around the door. �Oh there you are, I have been looking
everywhere for you.�

�Oh hello Rin, come in please, we were just talking about a
game we are going to play.� Kagome said innocently, causing the rest of the
occupants in the room to groan.

�Really what kind of game?� She
asked.

�Well I can�t tell you till you agree to play it first.�
Kagome said managing to look innocently.

Rin looked at her intently. It had been so long since she
had been in any mischief. It was long overdue. �Deal.�

�Okay here is how the game is to be played.� Kagome filled
Rin in of the rules. �Any questions?� She said at the
end.

�I have one.� Rin said.

�Kay, what is it?� Kagome replied.

�Well I was wondering. Can anyone play, because if so, I
know of several women who would love to play as well.
Besides can you imagine the what most of the males
would be going through, and most would not be able to act upon it because they
are guest at the castle. They would have to try and be very subtle, which would
be difficult because Sesshoumaru sees, hears, and smells everything? This would
be so much fun.� Rin said excitedly. It had been way to
many years since anyone had put any of the males in place.

Kagome grinned evilly. �Get as many as you can to
participate, but no leaking information to any of the males. They may make it a
bit harder for any of us to win.� Kagome stated. �Now ladies, let the games
begin. Let�s get ready to tease and drive our men crazy.�

Soon word spread out among the women about the �new� game
that was to be played on their males. True to their word, nothing was leaked
out to the men. They were left to their own devices. Most of the females that
joined did so because many felt that they had not played any good pranks in a
while. Kagome was to learn that her family of Kitsunes just loves playing
pranks on anything and anyone they could. The first part of the party was for
the whole family, adults and children. The second part was strictly for adults.
The women would dress modestly for the first part, since there would be
children. But their males would have to beware since once the second part
starts the females will go all out. It appears that all females who had a mate
or potential mate will be participating, including any and all guests. Poor
males wouldn�t know what hit them.

The first part of the party was to begin, the females armed
themselves well. Most females dressed in thigh length skirts that allowed them
to show off a good view of their legs. Some would heels, while others wore
sandals, or shoes. Kagome, Sango, Yukina, and Keiko wore skirts. Kagome wore a
dark green flowing skirt along with a matching dark green sleeveless wrap
around shirt that accented her body. Sango wore a skin tight black skirt with a
short sleeve button up black shirt, leaving three buttons undone and a good view
of some cleavage. Yukina wore a light green flowing skirt that would gently
caress her thighs and a short sleeved light green wrap around shirt with little
faded green flowers scattered flowers patterned across her shirt. Keiko not as
daring as the rest, wore a violet purple short sleeved button up dressed that
reached to her knees. She also wore a dark purple belt across her waist.

Botan, being her cheerful self wore black skin tight thigh
high shorts and a short sleeved blue button up shirt, leaving the top two
button unbuttoned. Shizuro wore blue jean shorts that stopped at mid thigh and
a sleeveless button up shirt that barely skimmed the top of her shorts. Which
meant when ever she would stretch she would show off a small portion of her
stomach.

They were all gathering outside in the courtyard for the
festivities to begin. The children were playing outside reeking havoc upon a
disgruntled Jaken. Poor toad, it seemed he never was
able to retire from being the �nanny�. His charges just wouldn�t let him go.
Kagome had finally made her way outside trying to think of some way to be
subtle yet blunt at the same time. She was going to have to find a way to make
both her mates lose control. As she searched around the first one she spotted
was Kurama. He was speaking to Shippou and Rin was standing right next to him.
It seemed she was having fun petting his tail. Shippou though tried to ignore
it.

Kagome walked towards Kurama but was stopped before she was
able to get to her target. �Miss Higurashi,
nice to see that you are feeling well.� A male voice said detaining her.

Kagome slowly turned around to see who was speaking to her
and was shocked into silence, well almost. �Mr. Segai,
but how, where, what are you doing here?� She finally asked.

Principal Segai laughed. �I was
invited by Gramps over there.� He said.

�You�re a demon then?� Kagome asked still confused.

�Yes I am. A full demon. My mother
mated a full demon and here I am. So can I still call you Miss Higurashi, or would you prefer grandmother?� He asked,
clearly enjoying himself.

�This is just too weird. You can call me Kagome or grandma.
So you�re one of my grandchildren. I never would have guessed. Hey wait a
minute, you knew who I was didn�t you?� She demanded.

Principal Segai gave an amused
chuckle. �Why do you think I finally allowed you to wear blue instead of pink. I figured with my grandpa as your son you must have
been very good at getting your way. From the stories Gramps would tell, it
seems that he didn�t always get away with things. Besides, it would have left a
bad impression on me as a grandson, not to allow his grandmother to wear what
she wants.� He explained.

Kagome gave a grin. �So does this mean that I get some
leniency when it come to attending school. I mean come
on I don�t want to flunk, but I need to stay here for a while.�

Principal Segai gave her a wink.
�Don�t worry Kagome, you�ll be able to pick up where you finish. By the way I
requested transfer records for Yusuke Urameshi. He�ll
also be able to pick off where he left. He�ll just be going to a new school.
You may want to tell gramps that when this is all over, he�ll have to attend
school regularly unless called away from a mission. That and he has to do his
school work.� He told her.

Kagome laughed. Yusuke was not going to like this. �I�ll
tell him, eventually.� She grinned merrily.

�Well, well, well, fancy meeting you here Miss Higurashi.� Another male voice said.

Kagome turned towards the sound of that voice and saw her
teacher Mr. Sigimura. �Mr. Sigimura,
what are you doing here?�

�Shippou invited me as well as my parents. I believe you
know my mother.� He said in a friendly tone while smiling at her.

Kagome looked at him in confusion. His aura felt like
nothingness. Only one other demon felt like that. Then it hit her, his mother
was Kanna. �Kanna?
Kanna is your mother. I never thought,
no wonder your aura felt a bit creepy.� Kagome finally said.

Sigimura laughed. It never ceases
to amaze him how his aura could feel like a void while he is anything but. �Yeah
that�s my mother. Thanks to you she was given emotions, and to tell the truth,
she never regrets having them. She says the day she was able to feel was the
best day in her life.�

Kagome looked delighted, then
looked around. �Is she here?� She asked.

Sigimura grinned at her. �No she
and dad will be arriving later though, they had to make a stop to pick up my
younger brother. He was staying at a friend�s house and wants to meet you.� He
said.

�I can�t wait to meet her.� Kagome said sincerely. Then looked
up to see that Kurama was still with Shippou, �If you�ll excuse me, I believe I�m am going to say high to the birthday boy.� Kagome said
with a grin as she made her way towards Kurama.

This time she didn�t stop till she was behind him. She
brought both her hands up and covered his eyes. �Guess who?� Kagome whispered.

Kurama, having already caught her scent decided to play
along. �Hmm. Let me see, who could this be. Well
whoever it is has a delightful scent. Is it my beautiful mate, Kagome?� Kurama
asked as he turned around and brought her into his arms.

Kagome wrapped her arms around his neck. She then whispered
in his ear. �I love you.� Bringing shivers down her mates
spine, and then lightly kissed his lips. �I�ve missed you.�

Kurama brought his hands up higher upon Kagome�s back and
made a small discovery. Usually he would feel a strap along her back when he
would touch along her back. But this time there was nothing. He brought his
lips down to her ear and asked very quietly. �Are you wearing anything beneath
your clothes.�

Kagome looked over Kurama�s shoulder and noticed as Shippou
tried to conceal shiver from having Rin �play� with his tail. She grinned over
at Rin and answered Kurama. �No.�

A poor Kurama shuddered at the thought of his mate being
naked under her clothes. Just the thought that he could take her somewhere more
private and have his way with her was almost more than he could bear. But he
restrained himself. He had yet to see Yusuke and they both wanted to get
Kagome�s answer before they snuck away for a while. �Have you seen Yusuke yet?�
Kurama asked as Kagome was playing with his hair. Gods I love it when she plays with my hair. It always feels so good.
He thought to himself. He couldn�t take much more of it so he lightly disengaged
himself from Kagome and turned her to face an amused Shippou.

�Hello Mom.� Shippou said with a grin.

�Hi Mom.� Rin said with a
mischievous grin. Though, in all outward appearances, it seemed that Shippou
was ignoring her caresses upon his tail. Rin was able to feel the shivers he
was desperately trying to restrain. The thought filled Rin with happiness that
she was still able to affect her mate in that way.

�Happy Birthday son. Oh how cute,
Rin is Shippou�s tail as soft as I remember?� Kagome asked excitedly.

Rin grinned at Kagome. �It�s still very soft, would you like
to touch Kagome?�

Kagome gave a hopeful look. �Can I?�

Rin then held out Shippou�s tail where Kagome could reach.
Kagome caressed his tail with slow gentle strokes causing a purr to come out
since Rin was also caressing his tail. Suddenly two sets of growls suddenly
came out from behind Kagome, making Kagome and Rin paused in their caresses.
Kagome looked to where the growls were coming from. Yusuke had come upon them
when Kagome was stroking Shippou�s tail, when he saw the older Kistune purring, he was unable to keep himself from
growling. Kurama on the other hand was plain jealous. He had a tail as well and
wanted to feel Kagome�s small hands caressing it.

Kagome looked at her mates and pouted. �What, I can�t touch
my son�s tail now?� She asked.

Yusuke looked at Kagome sheepishly,
he had forgotten that she saw the older demon as a son. �Sorry Kagome, I forgot
for a minute there that he�s your son.�

Kurama gave Kagome a small pout. �I just want you to pet my
tail instead.� Kurama said in a sad voice.

�But Kurama you don�t have a tail.� Kagome pointed out
rationally.

�I can change that if you want.� Kurama offered helpfully,
making Kagome laugh at his eagerness.

�Hmm.� Kagome looked as if she was
giving it some consideration. She then looked up at Kurama and gave him a
sizzling, smoldering look. �Later.� She promised, making him gulp.

�Uh, Yusuke? Did you get it?�
Kurama asked. Really wanting to get her answer already.

Yusuke looked from Kurama to Kagome and grinned. For some
reason it seemed that their mate was feeling playful. �Yeah I got it.� He
answered.

�Got what?� Kagome asked feeling confused. Shippou and Rin
grinned mischievously, they both knew what Yusuke and
Kurama were talking about.

Yusuke grinned at her. �You�ll find out later.� He said and
suddenly pulled her towards him to give her a hello kiss.

Kagome was breathless by the time they pulled apart. Yusuke
had taken the time to caress her back but was a bit disconcerted when he felt
the smoothness, something was missing. He leaned in close to her ear. �Kagome
what are wearing beneath your clothes?� he asked softly.

Kagome grinned evilly, �Nothing.� Was all she whispered
back, making Yusuke stiffen as he searched for some
control.

Yusuke was about to grab her and take her somewhere private
when Kurama delicately coughed. �Yusuke I believe I see someone over there that
Kagome may want to see.� He said looking towards a set of Humans speaking with
each other.

Yusuke looked over to where Kurama had pointed out and saw
Kagome family as well as Kurama�s mother. Kurama�s mother seemed to be the only
one confused. �If you will excuse me, I believe I must speak with my mother
first.� Kurama said. His mother was still clueless about him being clueless.

Kagome and Yusuke looked as Kurama went for his mother. They
both knew what was going to happen and wished they could be there for him. But
they understood that Kurama felt he had to do this alone. If his mother
rejected him, then they would both do everything with in their power to let him
know that they are his family now. After Kurama left with his mother in tow,
Kagome then turned her attention to the other humans Shiori
had been speaking to. To Kagome�s astonishment, it was her family. Kagome gave
a loud shriek of delight, making the demons near her wince, and ran towards her
family.

�Mother, Souta, Grandpa! I�m so
happy to see you. When did you get here? How did you get here? Who, what?� Kagome finally finished as she hugged first her
mother, then her grandpa, and finally gave a crushing hug to her bother Sota. �I so happy to see you all, especially you squirt.�
Kagome said happily.

Sota hugged Kagome back. �A
Sesshoumaru invited us here. Something about you being mated.
What does mated mean? Is it like being married?� Sota asked, speaking about a mile per second.

Kagome blushed and laughed. �Yeah about
that. I�m uhm, mated Mom.� Kagome finally
finished.

Kagome mom took the news calmly, more calmly than Kagome would
have thought. She looked searchingly into her daughter�s eyes and could see the
happiness that had been previously been missing. Seeing that, made it a lot more easier on her to accept. �Does he make you happy?� Was
all she asked of her daughter.

�They make me extremely happy mom.� Kagome said, then caught the smug look on Yusuke�s face. �Don�t get all
smug on me buster. Just because you two make me happy doesn�t mean you still
don�t have to work on keeping me that way.� Kagome gave him a threateningly look.
�You got that buster.�

Yusuke gulped. When Kagome got that look in her eyes, she
could be extremely scary. �Yes Kagome.�

Kagome mom looked at the whole exchange, but something was
nagging her about what Kagome had said. Just
what did her daughter mean by �they� and �two�?

�Kagome what do you mean by �they�? Does that mean you have
more than one, and what does �mated� mean?� Sota asked confused.

Kagome blushed but went on to explain to her brother. �Well
you see mating is something like a human marriage, just without the ceremony
and without the option of divorce. You see mating is for life. Once you mate it
is for life, till death do you part. And well umn.
You see I have two mates.� Causing her whole family to go slack jawed at the
news in shock.

�Oh dear, Suichi it appears you
have more explaining to do. Especially since your mate has just announced that
she has two mates. Does this mean you�re bi?� Shiori spoke after Kagome confession to her family, causing
both Kurama and Yusuke to both blush, and Kagome to laugh.

�Uhm. No
ma�am. Definitely not bi.� Yusuke said immediately.

Shiori looked offended. �Excuse me
young man. But what is wrong with my son. I�ll have you know that he is quite a
catch.� She defended her son, much to Kurama�s embarrassment.

�Mother, I believe what Yusuke meant, is that we both are
not interested in males.� Kurama informed his mother.

�Oh. Then explain why this woman is mated to both of you.
Couldn�t she just choose one of you. Or weren�t you
good enough for her that she needed another man. If that�s the case then I�m
sorry she doesn�t deserve you.� Shiori then looked at
Kagome. �So why didn�t you choose. Wasn�t my son good enough for you, if so
then I have to tell you.mmmmmmmmmm.� Kurama�s quickly covered his mother�s mother, before she
got him into trouble.

Kagome looked a bit distressed and calmly took in a deep
breath. �Kurama, you can let go of your mother now. I believe they all want
explanations.� Seeing them all nod in agreement Kagome was about to continue
when she noticed Kurama had yet to remove his hand. �Kurama you can let go of
her know. I believe she really needs to hear this explanation.� Kurama let his
hand drop.

�Sorry mother, but Kagome is a very sensitive person. I
didn�t want you to say something to upset her. Please listen to her
explanation.� Kurama asked his mother. His mother nodded and that signaled
Kagome to continue.

�Well as it happens I have two mates, who I love very much.
It wasn�t my idea to mate with two men, and it did take me some time to get
used to the idea. Which Kurama and Yusuke can attest to.
You see I was falling in love with Kurama and Yusuke at around the same time,
since I met them at the same time. Each are completely
different, and I love them for that. Where Kurama is calm, Yusuke is anything
but. Yusuke is reckless where Kurama is strategic. They balance me. I have a
feeling things had gone on the way they were without any interference, then I
would more than likely be feeling very distressed believing I would have to choose
between them, and that I just couldn�t do.� Kagome said sadly. Truly she never
would have been able to choose between them because she loved them both
equally.

�Why would you have to choose?� Sota
asked innocently.

�As you well know Sota, we humans
are used to only committing ourselves with one spouse, one special someone.
What I didn�t know is that demons are different. If the demons involved are
willing, they would often share mates. But in this case it was a little
different. You see I found out that these two are my soul mates. We were
destined to mate. When we found this out, I didn�t want to mate with them.�
Kagome said wistfully.

Shiori bristled at this. �Why
wouldn�t you want to mate with my son?� She was a mother ready to defend her
son. Though this embarrassed Kurama, it also filled him with warmth.

�Well it wasn�t because I didn�t love him. Gods know I love
both them more than anything. But I wasn�t sure if they wanted me for me. If they truly loved me or had just accepted their fate. I
needed to know, that if we hadn�t found out that we were fated to be mate,
would they still want me. I know, stupid of me to think that way, when it was
obvious that they both loved me, but they never told me. It took almost forever
for them to finally admit it. And I love them both.� Kagome finished.

Shiori finally turned towards her
son and did something completely unexpected. Well unexpected from her son. She
smacked him upside the head. �And I though he was intelligent.� She huffed. �So
when are you going to make an honest woman out of her.� She asked him, then
turned towards Kagome and gave her a warm hug. �Welcome to the family. When can
I expect some grandchildren.� She then went over to
Yusuke. �Well seeing as how both you and my son are mated to the same woman, I
believe that would make you my son as well. Welcome into the family.� Shiori said as she hugged Yusuke, making him warm inside.
If you would look closer you would see a light sheen in the corner of his eyes.
He wasn�t used to people easily accepting him.

Kagome�s mother sighed. It looked as if her daughter was
well loved. Who was she to stand in the way of her daughter�s happiness. Besides, she had never seen Kagome this happy
before, he daughter practically radiates happiness. She went over to Yusuke
first and hugged the stunned man. �Welcome to the family son.� She told him
warmly, then went towards Kurama. �Welcome to the
family son.� She told him as well. Then stepped back and took a good look at
them both. �Well I never thought I�d have three sons to look after. You have to
come by for a visit soon and I�ll make us all something good to eat.� She
invited.

Kagome looked at her grandpa. He was just there mumbling
about demons and such. �Grandpa?� Kagome looked at
him.

Grandpa Higurashi was grumbling
about inviting demons, but in truth he didn�t have anything against them. He
looked at Kagome and saw the worry in her eyes, that look made him feel like a
heel. �Welcome to the family you two. I�ll try not to purify you when you come
to visit.� He said, making both Mrs. Higurashi and
Kagome smile.

Sota on the other hand was staring
at Yusuke. �Your name�s Yusuke right?� Sota asked him. �Yusuke Urameshi?�

Yusuke looked a bit surprised but then looked at Sota. �Yeah that�s me.�

Sota suddenly looked excited. �Sis
why didn�t you tell me you knew THE Yusuke Urameshi. The baddest kid around. Wow all
those stories I�ve heard about you. Is it true that you�ve never lost a fight?�
Sota asked Yusuke, much to Yusuke�s chagrin.

Kagome, along with her family, gave Yusuke a long and
considering look making Yusuke give an uncomfortable laugh. �Would it help if I
told you most of them were possessed by demons.� A far
stretch of truth.

Kagome gave him a glare. �Most of them.�

�Would it help if I were to mention that Yusuke never
personally starts those fights. They usually come
after him and not for a one on one fight. Or he gets involved when he sees
someone in trouble.� Kurama smoothly explained for the detective, since he was
having a hard time trying to formulate an explanation.

Kagome�s family were more than able
to accept that explanation. Kurama then looked at Yusuke as if seeking his
opinion over something. Yusuke gave a slight nod and waited for Kurama to get
everyone�s attention.

�Excuse me, if I could have everyone�s attention there is
something I would like to ask my mate.� Kurama started and then received a ring
from Yusuke. Kurama turned towards Kagome and kneeled on one knee. He took her
left hand and proceeded to slip the ring on her. �Kagome, I know that we are
already mates and this is probably not necessary, but I would still like to do
this. I love you Kagome Higurashi. Until you came
into my life, I never knew what was missing. Your warmth, your gentleness, your
fiery disposition have made my life richer and happier than I could ever have
imagined. Will you marry me and become my wife?� He asked her all the while
looking at her eyes. He then stood up and stepped to the side.

Yusuke took the spot that Kurama had just vacated and
kneeled down on one knee. He took Kagome left hand in his and slipped his ring
onto her finger. �Kagome, I�m not good with words, hell I suck at them. But I
will tell you this. I love you Kagome Higurashi, and
if you�ll have me I would love nothing more than to take you as my wife. Will
you marry me?� He asked her and then stood up to stand next to Kurama.

Kagome couldn�t believe it, her
mates were asking her to marry them in the human way. She looked at her rings
and found that they looked like one. The ring Kurama had slipped on her was of
a small silver dragon forming a half circle. In the half circle was a small red
gem shaped like a rose. The ring Yusuke slipped on her finger was of a small
black dragon completing the circle with the silver dragon and was holding a
small blue gem in the shape of a tear drop. When the rings came together the
gem looked to be floating over the middle of the rose. The band
around the design were a mixture of silver and black co-mingling with
each other. The effect was breathtaking. Kagome then looked up to her mates and
saw the uncertainty in their eyes. She rushed to them and hugged them both
alternating between kissing them both while saying �yes� over and over again.

Before she knew it, both her mates were carrying her for
somewhere more private for some alone time. Suffice it to say, Kagome and her
mates were the first one to win the game that day, but none of the females
could find it in them to be angry at that. They just had to work harder so that
they wouldn�t be the one who lost. And thus Kagome, Yusuke, and Kurama weren�t
seen for quite a while.

The party was is full swing, and everyone was enjoying
themselves. The females more than the males.
Sesshoumaru was going crazy. The human female was driving him crazy. Little innocent
touches there, brief glimpses of skin beneath her shirt. Unobstructed
view of those long legs. Clothes that mold her body hiding nothing from
him. His iron control was being severely tested. Not only that, but he couldn�t
help but notice the long absences of his guests that would little for little
whiles at a time only to come back smelling of sex. Something had gotten into
his guests, and the scent of sex was not helping, especially Shizuro�s scent as it spiked whenever she would touch him.
It was official, he was going mad.

�Sesshoumaru? Are you even
listening?� Shizuro asked as she lightly caressed his arm to get his attention,
successfully bringing Sesshoumaru out of his thoughts.

�Yes Shizuro?� He bluffed.

Shizuro gave him a considering glare. �Prove it. What was I
saying?� She taunted.

He gave her a glare that more scare most demons, but didn�t
even seem to faze her. �If you do not know, then far be it for me to remind
you.� He calmly stated.

Shizuro glared at him, then
grinned. �Sesshoumaru, I was asking about mating and all it entails. I know
Sango and Kagome are mated, but what does that mean and why haven�t you mated.
From what I hear you�re a good catch.� Shizuro asked.

Sesshoumaru almost groaned it seemed this human was intent
on driving him crazy. All he could think about was mating with this intriguing
female and here she was asking him about mating. The irony was not lost on him.
�Why do you wish to know?� He asked, not really wanting to talk about it.

Shizuro gave him a considering gaze. �Well
you see, it�s like this. I�m interested in this demon.� Was all she
would give him.

Sesshoumaru stiffened thinking that some other demon was
thinking about mating Shizuro. He�d kill them first. �Might I enquire as to who
this demon is?� He asked calmly.

�Why would you like to know?� Shizuro asked curiously.

�So that I could dismember him.�
Sesshoumaru said coldly.

Shizuro looked shocked, then
grinned delightfully. �Promise?� She asked.

Sesshoumaru looked a bit shocked, but quickly recovered. Why would she want a demon she is interested
in dismembered. He thought to himself. �Yes.�

Shizuro grinned up at him evilly. �You.�
Was all she said. Just that one
simple word.

That one word had a very odd effect on the Demon Lord. He
grabbed her hand and practically dragged her to his rooms where he was assured
privacy. There the demon lord showed the human female exactly what happens when
you tease a dog to far. The human female silently
reminded herself that she had to do it more often, especially as the Demon Lord
marked her as his mate.

Higaro saw Sesshoumaru�s departure and groaned to himself. What was going on? He wondered to
himself as he saw another quick departure. It seemed that there was an epidemic
going around. First Kagome disappeared with her mates and had yet to put in an
appearance, which was understandable since she had two. But now couples right
and left would leave for someplace private for a time and come back. Even
Shippou disappeared �twice� with his mate Rin. Hell Hiei and Sango already
disappeared �four� times. It seemed the fire/ice demon couldn�t keep his hands
off his mate. To make matters worse he was having a hard time keeping his hands
off Yukina. He wanted nothing more than to make her his mate, but he needed Hiei�s permission first. And that was something he was
afraid to do. He was afraid that Hiei would turn him down.

As he was looking longingly at Yukina, Hiei suddenly
appeared by his side. �Hello Hiei.� He greeted, still
gazing at Yukina. She seemed intent on teasing him today.

�Hn.�
Hiei greeted. After a while he finally spoke. �It has come to my attention that
you have feelings towards my sister.�

Higaro looked at Hiei trying to sense where this was going.
�I love her.� He said simply.

Hiei sighed. �What are your intentions.
If they are dishonorable I will strike you down where you stand.� He warned.

Higaro looked Hiei in the eyes. �I want to make her my mate.
I want to offer her my protection and my heart.�

Hiei suddenly grinned. He remembered everything now, and was
able to remember Higaro being there for him after Sango disappeared. The only
reason Higaro wasn�t around when he had the operation was because he simply
disappeared. He knew that Higaro would have tried to stop him and he didn�t
want to be stopped.

�Then what are you waiting for. I give you my permission.�
Hiei announced.

Higaro looked stunned for a second, then
sprang into action. He went after Yukina and quietly dragged her to someplace
private. Once he had her to himself Higaro kissed her passionately yet gently.
Yukina lost herself in the sensations.

Higaro gently pulled away from her and stared into her eyes.
�Will you be my mate?� He asked her.

Yukina was flustered, but this was what she had been waiting
for. �Yes.� She said in her quiet way.

Higaro grinned like mad and took Yukina to his rooms. He
intended to take his time with her and wanted no interruption. By the time they
would leave his room, it would be as mates.

Koenma was confused. What was
going on? Suddenly his ever efficient grim reaper had turned into a seductress.
But oh you�d never be able to tell with the clothes she was wearing. She looked
innocent in her clothes, but somehow she was managing to look irresistible. He
always had a crush on her, but never acted upon it because he never believed
she would be interested in him. Especially since he had to stay in his toddler
form so much to conserve much needed energy into his pacifier for things to
come. He wouldn�t allow himself to become involved with her because he was scared
that he might lose her. He wouldn�t admit it, but he was terrified at the
thought of losing Botan. Be it as a friend or employee. She was the only one
who understood him. The only one who knew the reasons he did what he did. The
real reason he appeared as a bumbling idiot. It was pre-ordained that those
events occur and he had to make sure they happened. There plenty of times when
he wished he could have done things differently, but then that would be
tempting fate. He sighed as he watched her bend over yet again to pick up the
ball from the ground. She was currently playing with the children, but would
give him smoldering looks often. He wasn�t sure how much longer he could hold
off. He was coming to the realization, that he may just be more than willing to
take the risk.

Miroku on the other hand was having a hard time keeping his
hands to himself. He had not felt the urge to grope a female in over three
hundred years. Yet this one woman comes into his life and the familiar urge is
back with a vengeance. He loved her but she was driving him crazy and she knew
it. He had already asked her to marry him, he was just
waiting on her answer. She said she needed time to think. He wanted to do the
honorable thing and wait till their wedding night, but if she continued teasing
him, he did not know how much restraint he could use. He was starting to get
desperate. All those teasing looks, innocent touches, seductive
smiles were torture. He wasn�t sure how much more he could last before he made
a more on her. He didn�t want to ruin things between them, but he was slowly
losing control.

Genie was secretly planning her seduction on Inuyasha. First
she was going to drag him off somewhere private they could talk. Then if he
could answer things to her satisfaction, then she wasn�t about to let him go a
second time. She had expected to find him mated to someone else already. The
fact that he wasn�t mated already, meant that someone
lied to her. And if that was so, then she had a lot of apologizing to do.
