Chapter: Epilogue ~Heaven~

A/N: I decided to do a small epilogue to lead into the sequel. This should hopefully set it up just like I want it too.
Disclaimer: I do not own Inuyasha manga, anime, or characters in any way ,shape, size or form. I do not own DJ Sammy or The song "We're in Heaven". I also do not own Tal Bachman, or the song "She's so High".
Warning: I added a LEMON!! FINALLY!!!!

Epilogue ~Heaven~

*Six Months Later*

Baby, you're all that I want

When I'm lying here in your arms,

I'm finding it hard to believe. . .
We're in Heaven. . . . .

Kagome almost couldn't contain herself. The day that would change her life forever more had finally arrived.
Today, she was going to marry and mate the one male who completed her. It had taken six agonizingly long months, but as she took in the small dressing room she was currently occupying, she knew it was worth every minute of it.
*Knock Knock*
She turned her head to the sound and called out softly, "Enter"
"Are you decent?" a deep baritone voice asked.
She sighed getting a little impatient, "Duh, I wouldn't have said to come in if I wasn't now would I?"
She heard a light chuckling as her soon to be Brother-in-Law entered the room.
"Are you ready? We have to go take our places, it's almost time." He said.
Kagome turned and took one last look at herself in the full-length mirror that her new best friend, Sango, had somehow managed to find in the church.
"Yes, I do believe I'm as ready as I'm gonna get," she replied with a soft sigh.

"Well then, Milady, may I have the pleasure of escorting you to your waiting groom?" he grinned as he held out his arm for her to take. Kagome had decided to ask Sesshoumaru to walk her down the aisle, since she had no idea where her father was, nor even WHO he was. Sesshoumaru, much to everyone's surprise agreed. . . .wholeheartdly.
He had begun to consider her pack a long time ago, almost as soon as she started working at the shop, and was extremely honored to have the priviledge of formally giving her away in this step towards womanhood.
She smiled back and twined her arm through his, and as they walked, she used the time to reflect the past half year.
*Flashback*

"Inuyasha, did you mean what you said back there? About wanting me and everything?" she asked timidly.
"I meant every word, and they are as true now as they were then. . ."he said tenderly, as he reached up one hand to cup her chin and caress her cheek.
She leaned into the caress and a contented smile floated over her face, "Good, because I want all of you too. . . . ." She trailed off.
"Really now, every last bit?" he said teasing her a little.
"Of course! Why just buy the popsicles, when you can buy the whole freakin popsicle stand!" and as soon as those words left her lips, he pulled her to him possesively, and stole another kiss.

Soon though, the sound of approaching sirens could be heard over the low din of the crowd. Inuyasha reluctantly pulled back from his love so that he could speak in low tones, "Let's go ahead and get the meet and greet with the fed's over with."
She nodded her head, and slipped from his embrace, only to turn around to grasp his hand and lead him outide.
They made their way over the rubble, and outside, only to be greeted by one of Inuyasha's oldest friends. . . .Miroku.
A look of shock passed over his friend's face as he heard a whispered, "Inuyasha?"
"Yeah Miroku, it's me," he said with a slight chuckle to his voice.
"How? Why? When?" the astonished cop breathed out.
"Don't worry about that, I'll explain everything later, I promise." Was his reply.
Miroku shook his head slightly, suddenly starting to feel as if he was hallucinating.
He suddenly narrowed his eyes at the Hanyou turned Demon, "Are you responsible for all of this?"
"Kinda, yeah I am. He had kidnapped Kagome, and was planning on using her to get rid of all youkai in the surrounding area. He had to go down Miroku, surely you know that." Inuyasha complained loudly.
"Don't even worry about it Inu, I have your back, by the way, let me introduce my partner," he said as he saw Sango heading towards them, trying to avoid pieces of debris that littered the lawn.
"She also happens to be my wife," he said quite smugly.
*End Flashback*

She smiled as she remembered the day she met the sister of her heart.

After about a month, once things from the investigation had been sealed permanently. They had been free to visit one another whenever their men would gather together to talk "Bull Sheet", and ended finding out that they had more in common than they had each initially thought.
They became fast friends, as close as sisters. There were even times when Sango would even come to the soup Kitchen with Kagome to help out with whatever she could.

All-in-all, they ended up being two peas in a pod.
She jarred out of her musings when her escort came to an abrupt stop, while she tried to keep going.
'This is it,' she thought to herself as the doors opened, and for the first time that day saw the man who held her heart and soul in his hands.
The music started and with a deep breath, Kagome slowly began to walk forward, towards the man that was her future. . . .

Oh - thinkin' about all our younger years

We were young and wild and free

We've been down that road before

Inuyasha had been on edge all morning. He couldn't believe he was soooo nervous. Miroku looked over to his friend and asked, "Getting cold feet?"
"Nah, I love her too much for that. No, I'm just nervous. . .what if I can't make her happy? What if I'm not good enough for her?" he said with a slight tremor to his voice.
"Ah but my friend, you have never seen the way she looks at you when she thinks no one is looking. You must be a fabulous lay or somethin, because she looks at you with total unadulterated adoration." He said with a smirk on his face.
"Shut it, you letch! We haven't even had sex yet, idiot!" he said as he blushed fire engine red.
"You HAVEN'T?" he replied just a little bug-eyed.
"No, she wanted to wait for marriage, and I promised her we wouldn't until then. Not that I haven't wanted to. . ." He snapped back.
"Well, it seems to me that you two are going to have QUITE a lot to catch up on then, huh?" his best friend said, once again smirking.
"Grrrrrrrr,"
"Ok, Ok! Let me just go check and see if all the guests are seated so that we can proceed." He said as he threw his hands in the air, a gesture of defeat.
He returned five minutes later, "Yup, everything is ready to go, they are just waiting on you guys!"
"Bout damn time!" he said as he scowled venomously.
He stood up, took a glance in the mirror to make sure that everything on his person were ok, and head out the door with Miroku in tow.
They took their places beside the alter and watched as the bridesmaids started filing in. As soon as the last one was inside of the room, the door was immediately shut, only to open once again as Kagome and Sesshoumaru started to walk down the aisle towards him.
'By the gods! How did I ever deserve a mate as beautiful, kind and caring as this one,' he thought to himself.
