A/N~I want to apologize in advance for any bad spelling or grammar. I had to write this on my kindle, more computer problems.

Kagome stretches leisurely in the huge bed, her toes flexing and her arms lifted high above her head. She sighs in pleasure as she relaxes back against the satiny sheets and rolls over to look out the window and try to determine the time. She was quite shocked to instead see a pair of brown eyes staring at her. A cry escapes her as she jerks back out of surprise more than fear.
The young girl jumps before looking down slightly guilty, "Rin is sorry, she did not mean to scare you lady kagome"
Kagome tries to calm her racing heart feeling bad for making the child feel bad, "it's alright I just wasn't expecting you to be there" she sits up and pulls the blanket around herself to shield her nakedness, while silently cursing sesshomaru for tearing apart her clothes," what are you doing in here?"
The girl-Rin- takes the question as an invitation and pulls herself up onto the tall bed with a bunch of wriggling and squirming," Rin wanted to sesshomaru's intended!" She exclaims happily.
Kagome flushes slightly and smiles, "and who are you?"
"Rin is sesshomaru-sama's ward!" Run says happily clapping her hands.
Kagome can't help but feel herself instantly falling in love with the bubbly child. She was a bit surprised that sesshomaru had taken a human child into his care, especially such a hyper one. She grins as Rin launches into a conversation about everything and nothing.
Rin takes the conversation in an aburt turn when she asks, "is Kagome-Chan going to be my mother?"
Kagome's eyes go wide and she flounders for an answer before saying in the calmest voice she can manage, "if you wish for me to be your mother then I shall be" when kagome sees her eyes alight in excitement she quickly adds, "as long as sesshomaru is ok with it of course."
Rin nods vigorously before launching herself into kagome's arms. She almost immediately pulls away her little nose wrinkled, "Kagome-Chan needs a bath"
Kagome laughs, not offended in the least, knowing the child meant no harm, "your right, but taking baths alone is dreadfully boring, would you want to join me?"
Rin squeals in joy and races away claiming she was going to go and get the necessary things needed for the bath, before disappearing in a inner chamber to the room she hadn't noticed before. Kagome slides her legs off the bed, her feet dangling for a moment as she struggles to get off the outrageously tall bed. When she drops to the floor the sheet is pulled away leaving her naked as the door slams open.
"RIN! HOW DARE YOU LEAVE MY SIDE! LORD SESSHOMARU WOULD BE FURIOUS-" the toad demons rant dies away when he sees the furiously blushing naked woman before him.
The room is silent for about half a second, the toad oogling her broadly, before a screech leaves kagome's mouth followed by her screaming for him to leave and chucking various items at his head. The toad skwacks and dashes around to avoid the objects being thrown at him when he feels a presence behind him.
He gulps softly and turns around meeting the blood red eyes of his Lord, trying not to look at the feral fangs being bared in a snarl.
"M-M-My Lord" he stammers as he backs away, "I-" he finds himself flying out a window thanks to hi Lord's boot.
Sesshomaru looks for his distressed female and sees she has escaped to the private springs. He walks into the hallway and smiles when he hears Rin talking excitedly to Kagome, telling her about all the fun they were going to have. When he hears his ward call Kagome 'mama' he feels his normally cold heart swell with joy, at his most precious females getting along. He strides confidently into the bathing chambers and smiles when he sees Rin splashing in the water while Kagome splashes water right back. He chuckles at his miko's mood swings, she went from screaming to frolicking in the water.
Kagome whips around when she hears the chuckle and goes under water so only her head is above, "why is you house filled with perverts!" She cries, while Rin who is completely oblivious begins washing her hair, giving compliments on its silkiness, “first that weird toad saw me naked and now you barge in when we are trying to take a bath!"
"Your mine" sesshomaru answers simply as if that explains it all, "but you are right, Jaken had no right to see you in that state"
When kagome threatened if he didn't leave he would be getting very acquainted with his hand, sesshomaru was suddenly on the other side of then manor in his office. He glances at the proposals on his desk along with letters from other lords. He had taken over the diplomatic part of being a Lord, his father saying he needed to get used to it for when he became the Lord of the west. He looks up when his retainer walks in, limping slightly sesshomaru notes with satisfaction, carrying a pile of papers and scrolls.
"My Lord, I have messages for you from Neveah and the other lords asking if the yearly ball will still be thrown here"
Sesshomaru nods and holds his hand out for Neveah's message. He opens or and unfolds the paper.
Sesshomaru,
It has been much to long since we last saw another so I have decided to come for a visit and catch up. I will be coming alone and by the time you get this letter I will probably almost be there, you know how slow our messenger is. I am very excited to see you and anxiously wait to arrive..

Sesshomaru smiles slightly after reading the message, happy that his best friend was coming to visit. The first time he and Neveah had met they had both been children. She and her family had been visiting and they had hit it off from the start, her caring nature causing some of his coldness to slip away. He hears the guards moving around anxiously outside and feels a familiar Auora. He stands and walks to the main entrance and before he even makes it out the door a bird demon is flinging herself at him.
"Sesshomaru! It's so good to see you!" Neveah cries as she hugs him tightly.
Sesshomaru hugs her back and chuckles at her excitement," you were correct in your letter, I had just finished reading it"
She lets go of him and smiles broadly," I told you my messenger was slow"
Sesshomaru graves her arm and begins leading her into the garden when he notices someone watching from the window. He sees izaiyoi standing there staring at them before she turns and walks away. Sesshomaru gets a bad feeling but gets distracted when Neveah squeals about how beautiful the gardens are.

Kagome looks at the tray of food that appeared when she was bathing with Rin. She lifts the lid and drools slightly when she sees and smells the delicious food. She was just about to sit and eat when there is a knock on the door. She tells them to come in and looks up and sees izaiyoi.
"Oh you poor girl! You don't what is happening do you?" Izaiyoi asks sitting down next to kagome.
"What do you mean?"
"Have you looked in the garden yet?"
Kagome gives her a confused look, "no... why? AN I supposed to?"
Izaiyoi sighs," I don't think you should dear, sesshomaru has company" the piques kagome's interest.
She walks to the window that overlooks the gardens and sees sesshomaru sitting with a pretty girl.
"I don't understand what's wrong" kagome says in a confused voice, "it looks like they are having fun, why would that make me upset?"
Izaiyoi puts a hand on her chest and gasps, "you mean you dont know?"
"Know what?"
"That woman is Neveah, one of the Lord's daughters and Sesshomaru's childhood friend" izaiyoi says
"That's wonderful!" Kagome exclaims, happy that sesshomaru has a friend and hoping he would introduce them.
"That's not all Neveah is" izaiyoi says leaning closer, "she is also his intended"
Kagome looks at izaiyoi oddly, "I'm his intended"
"Yes but she was first" izaiyoi says sadly," the poor girl has no idea you exist, she still thinks they are going to be mated" izaiyoi throws a pitiying glance towards the window, "I assume he will break the news to her today"
Kagome feels cold inside. Sesshomaru already has a intended? She feels jealously try to rise up in her but it is overwhelmed by guilt. 'That means I'm tearing them apart.' She walks to the window and sees them talking happily, sesshomaru laughing. They look like the perfect couple, made for each other.
Kagome feels panic rise inside of her, 'I can't stay here! I won't ever be happy knowing I'm ripping a couple apart! A home-wrecker!'
"Kagome dear what's wrong?" Izaiyoi questions.
"I can't stay here" kagome whispers, trying to ignore her heartbreak, anxious to save Neveah from hers.
Kagome doesn't see izaiyoi smirk before replacing it with a concerned look, "but where will you go?"
"Away from here" kagome says backing away from the window.
"Are you sure?" Izaiyoi questions, "if you are I may be able to... help"

A/N~ sorry the last chapter wasn't as interesting as my other usually are, so as a forgive me please gift I'm going to upload two chapters today, so keep an eye out for my other chapter cause I'm working on it right now. Also my story is coming to an end soon, probably only have like 10 or 15 left. In those chapters I'm going to most likely jump ahead a few years due to something that will be making an appearance. This story will most likely end with a cliff hanger, but don't fret I plan on making a sequel.
