Meanwhile�

Rin had awoken from her
peaceful sleep and rubbed her eyes. She looked around but she could not see her
father anywhere. Feeling a bit worried she called for Jaken.

Jaken-sama, where is
Sesshou-papa?

-
He had matters to attend to, he
will be back shortly.

-
Ok, I am hungry, is there
anything to eat? asked the young girl.

-
Look in the basket on Ah-Uh, I
believe Sesshoumaru packed food for you girl, said the toad demon.

-
Ohh goodie.
The girl began rummaging
the basket and found food for her. She sat down next to the two-headed dragon
and began eating. The forest was quit, only a few rustling sounds could be
heard. �Something has happened, and it is something very evil.� thought
the girl and shivered a bit. Ever since she had been a very young girl she could
sense when powerful things was about to happened or if it recently had occurred.
�I hope papa and my new mama is ok.� She chewed on a piece of dried meat
and gulped down a bit of water.

Then, as if Sesshoumaru
could here her silent voice, he appeared out of the sky in a white blur. He sat
down next to his adoptive daughter with Sango in his arms.

-
Sesshou-papa, you are back!! Are
you alright? piped Rin with her young voice.

-
Yes Rin, we are ok, why do you
ask? wondered Sesshoumaru and let Sango stand on her own.

-
I just had a bad feeling, and I
was worried for you Sesshou-papa and for you, Rin said and nodded towards Sango.

-
We are just fine Rin-chan, said
Sango with a warm smile and picked up the girl in her arms and hugged her tight.
Sango felt a motherly
instinct flow through her as soon as she laid her eyes on the young girl. But
she did not get to hold the girl for long; Sesshoumaru pulled her out of her
embrace and looked a bit scolding at her.

-
Sango my love, it is not good
for you to carry too much, he said.

-
But she was not very heavy.

-
You are carrying my pup, I will
not let you anything that can harm you or the pup, is that clear mate?

Yes Sesshoumaru-sama, Sango
sneered and pouted a bit.

Sango-mama, will you come and
pick some flowers with me? asked Rin.

You two can pick flowers along
the way back to my brother�s village, said Sesshoumaru.

Come Rin-chan, let us walk ahead
of this grumpy demon I call a mate and you call a father, snorted Sango with a
loving smile.

Yay!! Rin flashed a toothy
smile.
Sesshoumaru sighed
dramatically, but he watched the two human females that filled his heart with
love and devotion. He had been very surprised over Rin�s ability to sense
things, but then again, she had always been a very special child. He had known
it from the moment he met her.

Later� the same
evening�
Sesshoumaru ordered Jaken
and Ah-Uhn to make camp outside the village, mostly because he thought that the
two-headed dragon would strike fear within the villagers. Rin heard the voice of
the kitsune, she had met him a couple of times before and she was happy now that
they were cousins.

-
Shippou-chan, she shouted with a
high-pitched voice, making every demon in the neighbourhood to flinch.

-
Rin-chan, I am glad, said
Shippou and they hugged each other before running up the stairs to the shrine to
play.
Sango felt an arm around
her waist and she turned to look up into Sesshoumarus handsome face. She smiled
when she saw his loving eyes and she stood on her toes to kiss his striped
cheek.

-
Sango-chan!! Kagomes voice
hollered.

-
Kagome-chan!

-
Are you ok?? He did not hurt you
did he??

-
No, I am ok, I was a bit shocked
though, but I think the jealousy made him mad. He loved you very much I think,
said Sango with a hint of sadness in her voice.

Please, tell us what happened.

He said he would make
Sesshoumaru see to that I was traded for you, and then he threatened to kill
Inuyasha and Shippou-chan in order to have you by his side. I thank the gods for
the connection between us, because Sesshou came as soon as he felt that I was in
danger, explained Sango.

-
I killed him, said Sesshoumaru
with an emotionless voice, making Kagome gasp in horror, even Inuyasha was a bit
surprised.

-
Yes, its true, but he used the
Tensaiga to revive him again. I met Ginta and Hakkaku, and they said if Kouga
ever would try such a thing again we have their tribes blessing to deal with it
as we choose, said Sango.

-
Ohh, poor Kouga, said Kagome but
she could not forgive the wolf. He had kidnapped her best friend; he had said he
would kill Inuyasha and her pup Shippou, and that were unforgivable.

-
Let us hope that he has learned
his lesson, said Inuyasha, hugging his mate for comfort.
Everyone nodded to that
statement. In the distant they could hear Kaede call out to them, dinner was
ready.
