Hey, dear readers! I have a plenty of chapters written but the site wasn't working. Let's hope this time I achieve to post, because I'm almost giving up.

On the morning after, as soon as Inuyasha was waken, he didn't see the Scottish lass anywhere around.
"Keh! I knew she would do it!" He grumbled.
"What?" Kagome asked, still sleepy, and then she sat and stretched her arms, while opening her mouth in a large yawn.
"Shut up, Inuyasha..." Shippo murmured in his sleep.
On the other hand, Miroku and Sango woke up very fast, both prepared for any emergency. The Demon Slayer was ready to reach her Hiraikotsu.
"I knew that girl would leave again! She probably is going back to Naraku and..." Inuyasha's voice was gradually loosing volume, as a shadow of a many tails yokai started to cover his head. Then, when the demon was about to land, the hanyo became aware there was someone upon it. The rider was the red-haired outlander.
"Kirara?!" Sango was surprised her pet allowed another person ride her so easily.
"I brought some breakfast." And, all for sudden, many peaches began to rain from Annabelle's lap. She had kept the amount of them inside the tied skirt of her already dry and clean dress.
Miroku took one fruit and smiled. Soon Sango and Kagome did the same. The little fox yokai was accidentally hit on the head by a peach and awoke in a jump. He didn't have the time to be grumpy though, his next step was catching up every fruit he could find around him.
... and then a few days passed. Annabelle, already healed, walked with her new friends around the countryside, crossing long trails, helping them to defeat some yokais by the way, sleeping in humble huts on the road, while they were going to a village where lived an old, short woman with an eye patch.
"Kagome, are you from another country as well?" Anna asked, while they were walking side by side.
"What? Oh, no, I'm japanese!" the girl laughed.
"It's just your clothes are so different from the fashion I've seen here..." the words escaped spontaneously while she was analyzing her companion's costume. "I thought you were from a very hot land" Annabelle pointed, making the teenager girl laugh instantly, since she understood the reason of such logic - her skirt's length.
"It happens that Kagome came from a very, very far away time, she's from the future!" Shippo told that in wonder, rising his arms and jumping in front of the two women.
"Really?!" Annabelle's eyes widened, and then blinked, amused. "How interesting!" She smiled.
"It's a bit crazy, I know..." Kagome waved one hand clumsily, like she was trying to conceal her embarrassment.
"From where I came, there is a legend about time travellers" Anna's comment attracted the others attention, from Inuyasha who was leaping ahead of the group, to Miroku and Sango that was nearly behind.
"Is it so?" Kagome asked while she took Shippo in her arms.
"Yes, yes... in the Highlands there is an ancient monument called Craigh na Dun".
"And there she goes with those weird names impossible to pronounce..." Inuyasha spoke playfully.
Miroku and Sango even tried to spell the name mentioned by their new friend. However, the attempt soon got frustrated and ended up in laughs and jokes. Shippo eyes rolled of confusion while his brain tried to decipher such odd phonemes.
"It's a very old building" Annabelle proceed, smiling "No one knows for certain when or who chose that hill to be the place to build a circle of stones. My countrymen use to say that place is mystical, that some people even got to travel for the future and for the past when they touch the rocks".
"Did you touched them?" Sango couldn't help but ask.
"Yes" Annabelle sighed "But nothing happened" and then she giggled. "It's only an old myth".
"Kagome came through a well!" Shippo revealed enthusiastically.
"A well?!" That was something the ginger foreigner wasn't expecting.
"So it is, wish it could be a stone circle. I think it would be more romantic." Kagome said playfully. "And here we are!" she felt relieved when saw the big red monument on the village's entrance.
"Where are we?" Annabelle questioned.
"Here is the village where priestess Kikyo lived, fifty years ago" answered Miroku.
"So is here the place where everything happened?" she asked to the monk, even in the depths of her heart she already knew. A nod of his head was enough to answer. Yes, that was the scenery of a fulminant tragedy.
During her steps entering the village, Annabelle carefully observed every detail of the landscape and occasionally moved away from the group without noticing. She walked till her sight got captivated by a big tree which it's trunk had a visible scar.
Anna's mind traveled to a past that didn't belong to her.
Like he did to the lass and Kagewaki, Naraku assumed Inuyasha and Kikyo's semblance just to turn one against the other, trying to make them kill themselves.
When Onigumo's successor was disguised as Inuyasha, he could have fulfilled his lust and made everything he desired with the priestess. Instead, he chose to give her a fatal wound.
Why he didn't do the same with me and Kagewaki? She couldn't help, but wonder. Why didn't he kill me? Why did he consume, stained me with his voracious touches and kisses? Why having the labour to pretend being a man in love? Just to humiliate me after? The more her questions found no answers, more she scratched that tree trunk. And wouldn't it be humiliating for a creature like him letting himself lay with a human? Her mind persisted bubbling questions, making her heart race to the point she could feel her whole body warm up and tremble.
"Annabelle..." A voice was calling for her. It was like a distant, vague echo. "Annabelle?" A hand suddenly shook her shoulder, making her jump. "Easy!" It was Kagome, who also jumped. "Are you okay?"
"I am fine" Anna relaxed her muscles at last "I just got a bit distracted" and then she glimpsed the tree once more.
"Come meet Kaede obaasan." the smiling girl offered her one arm. Annabelle, still lost inside reveries, just let herself be guided.
The two women walked together till they were inside Kikyo's sister house. They were welcomed with a bowl of hot soup. One more of many times, the group couldn't stop laughing at Annabelle's manners while she was eating, including Kaede herself.
The chatting was long, fluid and fun. The foreign woman felt like they were all a family. After a while, she ceased talking just to observe her fellowship's behaviours. Kaede sometimes would scold Inuyasha like he was a child, Miroku would direct discrete gazes to Sango and she would pretend to ignore. Shippo would play with Kirara's multiple tails and the little feline wouldn't seem to bother. They were strong, nothing seemed to turn them down. They were happy, vivacious, their hopeful spirits ended up influencing Annabelle's.
Then, night fell illuminated by the stars. The White Rose, resting her back at the door jamb, was focused on the moon, shinning bright in the firmament, while making a braid in one reddish lock.
"You sleep to little" Inuyasha pointed, sitting inside the hut. The rest of the band were already resting.
"So do you" She answered, still contemplating the nocturnal sky.
"I have no need of many hours of sleep" The hanyo said confidently "You are human, though, should sleep a bit more if you don't want to get sick".
"I know, it's just..." she sighed, her shoulders slowly raised and fell "I'm not used to have sweet dreams, you know?" Every time she closed her eyes to sleep, Hitomi would appear like a pale spectrum, reminding her that one day he had existed and then she lost him, or worse, if it wasn't Kagewaki's visage haunting her, would be Naraku's presence defiling her, stimulating an instinct she was trying so hard to keep hibernated.
"I will destroy Naraku" he announced sharply.
"May the goddess be with you when time comes".
"Don't you stand in my way" with this warning, Inuyasha finally made Anna forget looking to the moon just to stare his golden gaze. Her features were expressionless, yet there was a strange glow inside her eyes.
"Good night" that was all she said, after taking a long, deep breath. She did as he advised, after all: went to sleep.
Or at least she tried.

Ailyn was wandering around through a distant swamp trails. Her reddish dress had it's long skirt stained by dark mud, and that made it got even heavier than before.
The woman's strength was temporarily low, for that reason she could not open any mystical portal to reach fastly her objective.
She hissed to the wind, then she tied her skirt above, on her body's side, so her pinkish knees and black long boots were exposed. Her terrible mood reached it's apex when one foot got stuck in a puddle, making she have to put some effort to take it off the slurry.
"Now what?!" Ailyn grumbled when she saw a band of thieves around, staring at her with hostility.
"Look, a yokai!" one man accused. She rolled her eyes.
"And when you think things cannot get any worse..." She said in a murmure, only to herself, and then she looked at every one of that men. "Look, I suggest you follow another path. Today I am not very sociable and all I need is just one reason to tore someone's head apart" Her words had firm spaces between, and her breathing was deep.
"You're one, we're eight" The leader pointed an old wheezy sword to her.
"Alright." Ailyn sighed lazily "Come on then" and she said, fearless. Soon a greenish smoke appeared, flowing from the mud and then embracing the Red Rose's silhouette. It wasn't as strong as when she confronted Annabelle's friends, still would be enough to silence those thieves that were approaching slowly, trying to corner her.
Even Ailyn was still recovering since Naraku's miasma hit her, she was still able to conjure some shadows. As her arms were elegantly lifting, those dark spectrum aroused from the soil, behind every paltry bandit, and then the men were stabbed by those dark forms, passing through their flesh as long, sharp, blackish thorns. The men did not even feel death coming for them. Stabbed in their backs, the thieves spat amount of blood and then fell upon the muddy ground. Ailyn could not help but laugh unworried.
They had it coming.
"You have no need of your sister's gift" a gloomy, deep voice echoed from the branch of a tree.
"You..." The golden haired woman raised her eyes above, speaking scornfully while staring at the White Baboon. "If I had Annabelle's power, your poison would not do me any harm".
"Oh, indeed..." Naraku hovered from the branch to the ground, spreading some mud drops around "For Annabelle's sake you are alive. You should be thankful and leave her be".
"Why are you so interested on my desistance? Oh, maybe it is because you wish to obtain Annabelle's gift for yourself. Is it not?" those carmine lips widened in a smirk, while the turquoise sagacious eyes narrowed "You want me to give up, so that you may have your slice of that cake. It is not going to happen".
"What if I offered you something distinguished from Annabelle's gift, yet it could make you equally powerful, even immortal?" His scarlet orbs twinkled under the monkey's mask.
"I would say you lie" She answered sarcastically. However, such disbelief came undone as soon as Naraku pulled out from his pelt a lozenge shard. That lilac shine, together with such powerful aura, immediately numbed Ailyn senses.
Naraku just needed two steps and then he was dangerously close of the dazzled woman, blinded by her greed. He took one of her delicate and permissive hands. Upon her palm, covered by a black velvet glove, he placed the Shikon shard and got satisfied while contemplating it darkening beside his eyes. Annabelle's twin sister's ambitions and resentments were giving it the color Naraku enjoyed the most.
"Now, listen what you are going to do..." He whispered. His lips almost touching Ailyn's ear, while his hot breath blower some yellow strands of hair away.

With the sunrise, the group have waken up and was getting ready to restart their journey after Naraku and Shikon no Tama shards. Before they eat the first meal, Kagome announced she needed to go home to fetch some books and groceries. Inuyasha complained, as always, and the rest of them just laughed of his grumpy manners. Anabelle, awoken since dawn, was only observing their interactions. Her tiredness was the reason of such muteness.
Then, a little time after, the school girl returned from the well, carrying a yellow backpack full of many kinds of XX century stuff.
"How can you carry all of these things?!" Annabelle was stunned.
"Kagome, did you bring it? Did you bring it?" Shippo asked while jumping with excitement.
"Here, take it" the smiling girl took from the front pocket of her backpack a strawberry lollipop. That made the day of the little fox yokai. "And this is for you, to make life a bit more sweet." Then Kagome delivered a red little package to Annabelle. The curious foreigner lass took it, shook and then squeezed it's strange material.
"What is it?" Anna asked while she was trying to find out how to open the thing.
"Kit Kat" Kagome helped her to tear the plastic wrapper, then parted a piece of that strange food and offered it to her "It's chocolate".
As soon as she bit the crunchy sweet, it was like Annabelle had discovered a piece of paradise on Earth.
"It's addictive!" Blue eyes shone while she was attacking such delicious groceries voraciously. Kagome, Shippo, Sango and Miroku laughed hard.
"I knew you would love it" Kagome blinked one eye.
"What about us, Kagome?" Miroku came near " What did you get there?"
"Easy, guys! There are some for everyone" So the girl from the future shared many candies, chips and such with all her friends, even with Kaede.
"Now that you already filled your bellies, can we go?" An anxious Inuyasha was waiting for them by the village's entrance. One bare foot hitting the brown earth impatiently. "This way we'll all get fat and nobody will have the shape to kick Naraku's ass!" He teased. Everybody laughed, including Annabelle.
Finally, they waved their hands to Kaede and resumed their path into their quest.
"Oh, wish I still had my horse..." Annabelle complained after they were walking for a long time.
"Lazy wench!" Inuyasha teased.
"It's easy for you to say it, you can go jumping around like a crazy frog." She answered and then showed her tongue.
"That was good!" Shippo giggled.
"Anna-hime can be so childish as Inuyasha..." Miroku whispered to Sango.
"Hey, I can hear ya!" The hanyo faked an offended tone, then chuckled.
They all shared spontaneous laughs and more friendly moments like this during that morning. There were no more clouds of suspicion or mistrust above them, even from Inuyasha.
By the afternoon they heard some hearsay about an uncontrolled bear yokai who was frequently attacking a nearby village. Kagome and Annabelle felt some jewel's shards aura not so far. Furthermore, there was something beyond, most like a presence, Anna could feel but wasn't able to unveil it. All she knew was how that sensation was affecting her. The air seemed to get heavier as they were enclosing that monstrous bear. As soon as Inuyasha defeated the beast, a Saimyosho swarm flew over it's carcass and consumed it, taking the Shikon's shard that was manipulating the yokai away.
They all knew to whom those venomous insects belonged, also they knew what had to be done - to follow the Saimyosho's trail. Annabelle, however, felt paralyzed. It was like her blood was becoming ice inside her veins. Her skin got pale. She realized that soon would come the time to face her tormentor, yet she wished to delay that moment the most she could.
"Are you coming or not?!" Inuyasha ceased his steps abruptly, making sand dust flew in the air while he was impatiently staring at Belle.
Before the woman could answer, a presence disoriented her, and then she spun her body around every sides, looking for someone.
"I can sense a jewel shard nearby!" Kagome exclaimed "And it's defiled!"
A dark mist emerged from the depths of the woods and started to evolve them.
"Go" Annabelle said firmly to her friends.
"Anna?!" Sango pronounced herself worried.
"Go, I'll take care of this" She answered while a silhouette began to appear beyond the fog, exhaling the spider hanyo smell.
"It's Naraku scent!" Inuyasha hissed, with Tetsusaiga drawn, pointed on that creature's direction.
"But it is my sister" Annabelle took some steps ahead, getting close of the womanly visage who was finally showing herself, passing through the black smoke. A small piece of the cursed gem was garnishing the blondie's forehead, making her shine in the dark.
"Go now, or you'll lose Naraku's trail!" Anna said "This is a trap!" and then vociferate.
Her friends were clearly worried about her, yet they knew she was right. That situation indeed could be a plot to distract them, so they would lose Naraku's track. They chose to trust in Annabelle's strength to overcome that hindrance and reach them in the way. After all, the White Rose would never allow any one but herself to lay a finger on the Red one.
Little they knew though, that when walking away and letting the sisters face each other within the woods, the group would be giving to the White Baboon exactly what he wanted.
"Ku, ku, ku..." Naraku chuckled, into the darkened skies, surrounded by a protective barrier, concealed between some clouds. From there he was contemplating the two women staring each other in silence.
To be continued...

- Craigh na Dun: although there are some folklore about time travelers and circles of stones in Scotland, this specific monument exists only on Outlander series/books, and YES, I am a fan! I couldn't resist and mentioned it here. LOL.
Well, hope you have enjoyed this chapter, the next will be more exciting, I promise!
