This is a recent chapter outline. For the most part, it is accurate, but I've decided to change a few minor things here and there. The two main plotlines at the beginning are these: KibitoShin is planning to resurrect Son Goku and reunite him with his wife's reincarnation in 1555 Japan so that he can destroy Naraku in the past to change the future and spend the rest of his life at his wife's side, and Android Seventeen, having been killed at the end of DBGT in the year 2037, is approached in the afterlife by KibitoShin and the Inu no Taisho for the purpose of "recruiting" him for his help on a world called the Silent Planet, the world that Naraku has been terrorizing since the sixteenth-century. Thirty years later, Doctor Gero, having faked his own death, reappears in Russia and secures military support for his android projects. His "Operation Gamma Ray" is the reconstruction of Super Android Seventeen, and this prompts the original and dead Android Seventeen to leave the Silent Planet and get his soul sent to Earth so that he can hijack one of Super Seventeen's two halves and destroy the project personally.
REDEMPTION AWAITS THEM: Chapter Outline
- Prologue: Out of the Silent Planet01. Fortress Achikulak - Let the Nightmare Begin! (Arch Enemy, Demonic Science)
Kibito-Shin meets with Enma Daio in the Spirit World and persuades the daiyoukai to reincarnate the spirit of recently-deceased Chi-Chi and hand the resulting baby girl over to him so that Vegeta and Buruma may travel backward in time to relocate it to a village in the Japanese Sengoku Jidai, as per the Inu no Taisho's request. If everything goes as planned, Son Goku will be able to destroy the spider-demon Naraku before he corrupts the Silent Planet, the new homeworld for Earth's youkai, and live out the rest of his life in peace at the side of his wife's reincarnation, whom will be revealed to be the taijiya Sango later on.
The Russian Army plots to create an army of super-soldiers based on genetic materal salvaged and digitally encoded from the destroyed body of Super Android Seventeen. Colonel Vladimir Andropov, Doctor Iskendervich Gero, and Brigadier-General Sergei Niska are introduced. The power of the completed android prototype is later tested outside of the Achikulak base, and the city of Achikulak is completely destroyed in the process.
02. Divine Intervention
In the year 1555, Android Seventeen is killed by Doctor Gero atop Naraku's free-floating fortress citadel and Gero, in turn, is destroyed when Son Goku self-destructs in a last-ditch effort to kill Naraku, along with most of most of the fortress, Sango's body, Sesshoumaru's body, InuYasha, Kohaku, Kanna, and himself. When Seventeen next regains sentient thought, he finds himself in Purgatory, the border world between Heaven and Hell. There, he is met by the angel Sammael, and Sammael informs Seventeen that God has authorized him to return him to Earth and assist him in correcting the horribly-awry timeline. Sammael does not refer to him as Seventeen, though, instead calling him Viktor, his true name. Seventeen then learns that he was born as Viktor Kerenskaya, along with his sister, Anya, in the Ukrainian city of Odessa in the year 1981. However, Seventeen/Viktor is a mortal being, and since milling around for 500+ years in Purgatory would surely drive him mad, Sammael transforms him into a stone statue so that temporal relativity would make it appear to him that no time had passed at all and hence preserve his sanity.
In the year 2037, a younger Android Seventeen, fused unwillingly with Hell Fighter Seventeen to create Super Android Seventeen, is killed by Son Goku and Android Eighteen near Kanazawa, Japan, the entire battle being the result of Doctor Gero and Doctor Myuu's attempt to escape Hell and conquer Earth. Seventeen then arrives in the Spirit World and is met in Enma Daio's Spirit Annex by a dog-demon named Kyushu, the Inu no Taisho and father of Sesshoumaru and InuYasha, and is asked to travel to a world called the Silent Planet, the world to which all of Earth's youkai were moved in the late sixteenth-century, so that he can assist in protecting its inhabitants from the spider-demon Naraku and his horde of saimyousho. Kyushu's reasons for this are two-fold: he needs help, as without it, the Silent Planet will undoubtably fold to Naraku and all of its demonic population will be subject to either his tyranny or his absorption. No one else is available or willing, or capable of providing useful assistance. Secondly, his sense of honor causes him to feel indirectly responsible for Seventeen's death and wish to make compensation, as Son Goku is, in fact, his reincarnation. Seventeen, not having anything better to do and knowing first-hand what it is like to be forcibly absorbed into another being, agrees to this and defends the Silent Planet for the next thirty-one Earth years.
03. Sounding the Alarm
In the year 2068 and atop his lookout above the central Pacific Ocean, the Nameku-jin Dende senses the power of Gero's new android flare up in Russia and contacts Kibito-Shin telepathically from across the border of Spirit World, alerting the Kaioshin of the new threat and claiming that neither the aging Earth warriors nor any national military could stand against it if it ever became operational. Kibito-Shin teleports to the lookout and verifies Dende's claim, concurring with his assessment. Since all spiritual deities are barred from interfering in most mortal affairs by long-standing heavenly law and a covert, pre-emptive strike on the Achikulak research facility by a necessarily-anonymous outside party would result in violent retaliation by the Russian government against Chechnya, a nation sharing a border with the Stavropol region and the most likely aggressor, in Russian opinion, Kibito-Shin decides that it would be wisest to "hijack" the android by spiritual possession, effectively stealing it from the Russians. The Russian government would be unable to point fingers if the android got up and ran off on its own and would keep quiet anyway, since they were, in fact, developing a weapon of mass destruction. The most sensible candidate for such a mission, in Kibito-Shin's opinion, would be Android Seventeen himself; the Achikulak android was cloned from Seventeen's DNA, thereby making it his property and his to do with whatever he deems fit.
Kibito-Shin then leaves Dende to monitor the android's behavior and travels to Spirit World, meeting with Enma Daio in his Spirit Annex and requesting that preparations be made for the transfer of Android Seventeen's soul into the Achikulak android, if and when Seventeen actually agrees to undertake the mission. After some consideration, Enma agrees to do this, and needing only to collect Seventeen himself, Kibito-Shin travels to a certain point on the infinitely-long Snake Way before leaping off and plummeting through the Soul Divide, the spiritual barrier that isolates the majority of Spirit World from the Silent Planet. Android Seventeen, as well as nearly every single demon to have ever existed, be them living or dead, resides on this world.
04. The Guns of Musashi (Iron Maiden, Out of the Silent Planet)
High above the desert sands of the Silent Planet, the air battleship Musashi is moored at an aerial docking facility and Kyushu, the Inu no Taisho, is enjoying some alone-time with his wife, Izayoi. Cue lemon scene. They then receive an alert from advance-warning stations in New Tokyo that a large group of Naraku's saimyousho is en route underground and on the attack. Kyushu and Izayoi compose themselves rapidly and mobilize the Musashi's crew for battle, and the Musashi descends from port to intercept Naraku's forces.
Meanwhile, Android Seventeen is on a sortie against a major saimyousho breeding ground, escorting a portable antimatter bomb on a dropship crewed by the Panther Deva tribe
On the desert sands of the Silent Planet, Android Seventeen is once again on a sortie against Naraku's forces, this time escorting an antimatter-based nuclear weapon aboard a dropship crewed by elements of the Panther Deva tribe. His objective is to infiltrate a major saimyousho breeding ground and obliterate it using the antimatter bomb.on the desert world of the Silent Planet, a massive demon puppet belonging to Naraku attacks the sand-blasted city of New Tokyo and is soon intercepted by the air battleship SPSDF Musashi, the Inu no Taisho Kyushu's personal flagship, and a vessel crewed by his human wife, Izayoi, his vassal, Rouyakan, the Panther Deva clan, and a veritable army of various other demons. After a protracted air-to-ground battle between the puppet, the Musashi, and a horde of poison insects, Naraku himself appears on one of the Musashi's fore laser turrets, masquerading as Sesshoumaru and challenging Kyushu to a rare one-on-one duel. Kyushu knows that Naraku's challenge is a trap, yet defends his honor and his son's memory by accepting it anyway. Naraku and Kyushu then battle one another in full view of the ship's bridge crew. Izayoi, seeing that Kyushu may be overmatched, radios Android Seventeen for assistance, as the puppet is nearly invulnerable to the Musashi's weaponry.
Seventeen, at that point in time, is currently busy destroying a poison insect hive with a small nuclear weapon nearly three-hundred kilometers away. He receives Izayoi's message and proceeds to blast his way with through an army of saimyousho with increased urgency, plant the nuke, detonate it from a safe distance, then take flight at top speed torwards the Musashi's position.
Independent of each other, Kibito-Shin and Android Seventeen reach the Musashi's position at the same time; Seventeen proceeds to help Kyushu fend what turns out to be a false Naraku, as per the spider-demons trickery, and then blasts a hole in his puppet's armor hide, allowing the Musashi's gunners to pump several gigawatts worth of laser fire into its vulnerable interior. The puppet disintegrates after it's magic spindle core is destroyed, and Naraku retreats
launch a full-frontal assault on the demon puppet while Kibito-Shin makes his way to the Musashi's bridge, meeting with Kyushu. From there, they watch Seventeen decimate the puppet demon with a combination of energy blasts and the strength of his bare hands. Kyushu then summons Seventeen to the Musashi's bridge, at which point Kibito-Shin proceeds to brief the android of the unfolding situation in south-western Russia.05. Here I Go, Again
Kibito-Shin finishes briefing Seventeen on the Russian project, referred to as Operation Shadows Fall in its military documentation, and Seventeen agrees to return to Earth to hijack the prototype android. However, he states two specific terms on which he desires to operate. First, he will carry out the mission without any sort of aid from Spirit World, i.e. Kibito-Shin's ability to teleport anything to anywhere. Second, he wishes his return to Earth to be kept secret, wanting to surprise his sister at her home if and when he reaches Japan from south-western Russia. Seventeen then bids Kyushu, Izayoi, and the others farewell, and leaves the Silent Planet, crossing the Soul Divide with Kibito-Shin. The two then venture to Enma Daio's Spirit Annex, where Daio voids Seventeen's body of his spirit and casts him back down to Earth.
- Act One: Operation Shadows Fall / Sicklehammer / Gamma Ray06. The HauntingIn 2083 Purgatory, Viktor Kerenskaya finalizes his strategy for altering the timeline, planning to hijack the second Achikulak android, destroy the Achikulak research facility, destroy Gero's other lab, then shadow his younger self all the way to Japan, at which point he will follow Vegeta and Bulma back in time and prevent the final battle from going awry. Before he leaves, he asks Sammael for one more favor: to know of Kagura's life before he met her. To his elation and concurrent sobriety, he discovers that he and Kagura are very much alike in their suffering.
At the same time, Android Seventeen arrives in Russia as a disembodied spirit and immediately makes his way to the Achikulak base's underground holding chamber, at which point he discovers that the Russians had made two androids, not just one. However, close inspection of each example reveals to Seventeen that only one of them has been surgically processed and artificially enhanced; the other android is hardly an android at all, but rather an almost totally unmodified human being. Without hesitation, Seventeen chooses to possess his fully-human clone, though this still leaves his extremely-dangerous copy in Russian hands. Before he can destroy it himself, though, he is found out by lab's technicians and the two guards posted nearby. Fortunately for Seventeen, a few genetic tweaks had been made to his body, increasing his speed and strength by a significant margin, though his main power stems from his inner ki. He manages to overwhelm both soldiers and get ahold of an assault rifle, at which point he herds all of the lab's scientists one of the guards into the holding chamber. He holds the other soldier at gunpoint and coerces him to hand over his clothes, clothes with which he later dresses himself. Having corralled everyone into the holding chamber, Seventeen jams the holding room door shut, trapping everyone behind it. He then dresses himself in the discarded Russian uniform and makes his way to the surface.
On the surface, Seventeen poses as a Russian soldier and attempts to sneak out of the Achikulak base. However, as he attempts to pass through a security checkpoint at one of the defensive perimeters, he is discovered and resorts to fighting his way out.
