Chapter 19 - Heading Home
*Bloodstone* (Stella's Shiny Challenge)
Sesshoumaru wasn't sure how things would go when he returned to the home he shared with Inuyasha and Kagome, but he honestly didn't care. He would get to see her every day. That was more than enough for him. He wondered if she would be playful again. He had greatly enjoyed her teasing, even if it was torture, and he would love for her to do so once more. She seemed so much more comfortable with him today than she had the last few times they met so that she could consume his blood.
He wondered if she would still only do so once a week, which was the minimum she needed to maintain control over her powers. She was more than welcome to cut and bleed him every single day if she desired. He quite enjoyed her carving her name into his chest, and he wondered if she would do so again. It was as if she was marking him as her property, and he was just fine with that.
The taiyoukai hurriedly packed his belongings. His mother's second home had sat empty for years, and it could be that way again. He would just call her to make sure she knew he wasn't staying there any longer; however, he hoped he and Kagome would be visiting again. When she cut him at their home, he would heal quickly, which would probably irritate her, but it would please him because she would have to cut him repeatedly, which he would, of course, enjoy. He secretly prayed that she would desire to torture him again, that they would lock themselves up in that room and spend hours or days there once more. He ached for it in a way he never experienced before.
When he collected all of his clothing, he headed into the bathroom. After a moment, he decided to leave his toiletries there in the hopes that he would be returning. He often fantasized about making love to Kagome in the shower once she finished whipping him bloody. He knew that to others it would seem sick, but to them, it was completely normal. It's the way they were born, meant to be together, she meant to hurt him, and he meant to love every second of it. He could only hope that Kagome would accept that eventually. She had admitted that hurting him turned her on, and her carving her name into his chest gave him hope that she finally was coming to terms with it.
*Clove* (Stella's Spicy Challenge)
With everything he needed tucked away in one duffle bag, Sesshoumaru headed to the front door, keys in hand. He locked up and made his way to his car only to curse loudly at what he found there. Not only were all four of his tires flat, but the word 'bastard' had been scratched into the paint in very familiar handwriting.
"Kagura," he hissed angrily. He hadn't given her a second thought since he snuck out of her house the morning after he showed up on her doorstop drunk, except for when Kagome brought it up during his torture. He hadn't even considered what his psycho ex-girlfriend would do to get revenge. He should have expected it. After all, he had had to get a restraining order several years ago to get rid of her.
Now how was he supposed to get home? He was in a hurry, damn it! Cursing again, Sesshoumaru pulled out his phone and called his brother, quickly explaining the situation. Inuyasha promised to be there soon to pick him up. The taiyoukai then called a tow company, explaining his dilemma once again. Then he sat down on the front steps to wait for both.

Kagura laughed from her spot in a tree across the street, where she was hiding her scent and aura. She moved her car around the corner so he wouldn't see it, but she had been unable to resist watching the results of her punishment. She wanted to see Sesshoumaru suffer for what he did and for screwing around with that little human bitch. She was certain the two were together.
Kagome had been a thorn in her side back when she and the taiyoukai were dating. She knew that Sesshoumaru had feelings for the girl, though he never acted on them. She had supported the taiyoukai when he tried to break things off, had helped him get the restraining order that had brought a screeching end to their relationship, and she hated her ever since. Now that she had seen Kagome visit Sesshoumaru for two weeks in a row, Kagura was certain they were seeing one another.
She wanted to eviscerate the competition for Sesshoumaru's heart. Kagura knew they were meant to be together. It was written in the stars for them before they were even born. She craved him like no other she had ever been with before, and she would gladly give herself over to him if only he could understand. She was his destiny! Why couldn't he see that?
The wind youkai watched as first, Inuyasha, and then a large flatbed tow truck arrived. His car was loaded up, and then the taiyoukai got into the car with his brother. Kagura cursed. She knew he was going home to that girl, Kagome, and she wished there was something she could do to stop him. Kagome didn't deserve him. She was just a little human twit, and Sesshoumaru was a sex god. He was hers. No one else could have him.

"So what are you gonna do about the psycho?" Inuyasha asked as he drove towards their home. "Kagome's not going to be happy to hear she's back."
"I don't know. Tomorrow I will file a police report and see about renewing the restraining order, but there is no way to prove that Kagura was the one to wreck my car," Sesshoumaru replied, frustration in his tone. "I wish I'd never gone to her house."
"Yeah, that was pretty fucking stupid," Inuyasha agreed. "She was finally completely out of your life and you went and dragged her back in. You gave her hope that you could be together."
"Don't you think I know that?" Sesshoumaru snarled. "She was my rock bottom. If I hadn't gone to her, I would not have gone to my mother for help. I would not have learned about my fate and I would not have helped Kagome gain control of her powers. It was necessary. Now, I will simply have to deal with the consequences. I will not allow her to interfere with my relationship with Kagome. Nothing is more important than that."
Inuyasha smiled. He was glad to hear just how devoted his brother was to his best friend. Things might be rough between them now, but he was sure that they would end up together. They had always liked one another, and now they were permanently connected. She would always need him for his blood, but Inuyasha suspected she needed him for a great deal more than that. The fact that she had invited Sesshoumaru home gave him a great deal of hope for their future together. He would just have to get used to the whole pain aspect of their relationship because he had a feeling he would be seeing and hearing a lot about it.

Kagome smirked at the sound of car doors closing outside. She went to the window and looked out, spotting both Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru. She headed out of her room and stood at the top of the stairs, waiting for the taiyoukai to enter.
"So, what happened to your car?" she asked.
Sesshoumaru mentally winced. Inuyasha hadn't told her? How was he going to explain this to her without pissing her off? "I am going to need to renew my restraining order," he replied, knowing she would understand.
"Kagura? What did she do?"
"Not only did she flatten his tires," Inuyasha started, "but she decorated his paint with a few choice words."
"Should have expected that kind of thing. Tell me, Sesshoumaru, how did you leave things in the morning? Did you explain that it was a mistake or did you slink out like a snake at first light?” The look on his face said it all and Kagome smirked. "You totally deserved that. You're lucky that's all she did. I bet she wants to kill you."
"You are not angry?" Sesshoumaru asked. He expected her to yell at him, to rant about how stupid he had been to go to Kagura in the first place. Instead, she seemed perfectly calm.
"She's your problem. You screwed her and then snuck out before she woke up. I am irritated though. You know how hard it was to get her out of your life the last time around. Why in the hell would you open up that can of worms again?"
"I wish I knew," the taiyoukai replied. "I barely remember that night. All I really remember is flashes and then waking up in her bed, nauseous and confused as to how I got there."
Kagome laughed. "Drunk you did a damn good job of screwing up your life. Maybe you should stop drinking."
"Not a bad suggestion," Inuyasha agreed with a laugh.
"Well, it looks like you're stuck here until you get your car fixed," Kagome said with a smirk. She pulled the small folding knife from her pocket and opened it, turning it in front of her to study it from all angles. "What shall we do to pass the time?"
Sesshoumaru almost moaned aloud at the sight and the tone of her voice. He watched intently as the miko turned and walked away, heading back to her room without another word.
*Pyrite* (Stella's Shiny Challenge)
"Things are looking up, huh, bro?" Inuyasha asked with a grin.
Sesshoumaru shook the daze from his mind and nodded. "She seems a great deal more comfortable with me. She even cut me instead of my cutting myself earlier."
"Ugh, I don't wanna know that shit," Inuyasha groaned. "It's fucking creepy."
Sesshoumaru smirked. "She carved her name in my chest," he said, ignoring Inuyasha's fake retching. "I quite enjoyed it."
"Stop, bro!" the hanyou demanded. "It was bad enough watching her flirt with you and get you all turned on. I don't wanna be involved with this sadistic shit."
"Then you may be living in the wrong place, little brother," Sesshoumaru said before heading up the stairs with his duffel bag, ready to unpack and settle in. He was happy to be home, happier to be closer to Kagome, and happiest with her new attitude towards him. Things were definitely improving between them, and his hope grew that they could finally be together. Nothing would make him happier. If only he didn't have Kagura to deal with.
