- Chapter Two.
“Now what do you want to talk about?” Kikyou asked, as soon as she reached where they were at.“Please hand your weapons over to Miroku. He will safe guard them. Kagome, take Tessaiga.” Inuyasha said, as he removed Tessaiga’s sheath from his waist.
“You are stupid, Inuyasha, to meet me without weapons. I can still easily kill you!” Kikyou said.
“Not so, Kikyou, if you break the peace charm that your sister made, you condemn her to hell. Do you want your sister to be in hell? Then, be silent and allow us to have a peaceful meeting with you and maybe you will learn something,” Kagome said, as she took hold of Tessaiga from Inuyasha.
“All right, you have my attention, Inuyasha.” Kikyou stated, as she folded her arms over her chest.
“You remember the day that we had supposedly betr….” Inuyasha said, but he was interrupted by something landed on top of him. “Get off of me!”
"I'm sorry, Inuyasha, I didn't see you standing there," spoke the woman.
“Sango, when did you get in the area?” asked Kagome.
“Just a few minutes ago, saw Inuyasha’s red coat and figured you all be here. So what’s up?” she asked, as she got off of Inuyasha who was right about to leap on her and chew her out.
“Inuyasha - osuwari!” yelled Kagome, as she watched as Inuyasha dropped to the ground as he turned his glare towards Kagome.
“Nifty trick you got there, Kagome. I wish I had known that when I fought Inuyasha in the past,” Kikyou said.
“It happened only…well it might not have had worked for you in the past, Kikyou.” Kagome said, after getting a glare from Inuyasha.
Kikyou turned from Kagome to Inuyasha. “So what did you wish to speak to me about?”
“Remember what happened about fifty years ago, Kikyou,” Inuyasha said.
“You betrayed me and mortally wounding me!” snapped Kikyou.
“It was not me!” yelled Inuyasha.
Miroku quickly bounced between them. “Calm yourself, Inuyasha; yelling will not make her learn the truth behind the fake ‘Inuyasha’.”
Sango looked at Kagome, who whispered the history between Inuyasha and Kikyou. “The history behind Inuyasha and Kikyou, is that they were once in love, were tricked into killing one another. Kikyou used the last of her strength to seal Inuyasha to a tree, and he slept there for the next 50 years till I came and freed him, Sango. But they were not betrayed by either of them. For it was someone else who took their forms to get them both against each other.”
“Who would have done something like that?” Sango asked.
“It was Naraku, Sango; he posed as both to each other and attacked them. Making them think that they were betrayed by each other.” Miroku said, calmly before he turned towards Kikyou who heard it all. “I know it sounds farfetched, Kikyou but I know it is the truth for my grandfather went after the real culprit soon after your death and found him. My grandfather was cursed with this.” Miroku uncovered his air void and got several leaves and branches in the void before he sealed it up.
“Only a demon could have that void,” Kikyou said, shocked. “You’re a demon!”
“Not a demon, Kikyou, my family was cursed with that. A curse that will be lifted when Naraku is killed for good,” Miroku stated calmly.
“Please believe him, Kikyou. I never wanted to slay you after we fell in love. I wanted to become human so I could share my life with you!” Inuyasha pleaded.
