AN: Thanks to a review I decided to continue on with
this story. Thanks for the fun idea about who gets to mark Kagome!!

Chapter 2: The Marking
             Inuyasha flew horizontally at Kagome, hoping
to reach her first, his arms grabbed her around the waist. He was able to
maneuver her out of Koga�s grasp at the last second sending Koga crashing into
the base of a tree. Inuyasha did not waste any time. He had Kagome on the
ground, his teeth searching for the perfect place to mark her.
            Koga looked over to see Inuyasha poised to mark
Kagome. Knowing that if Inuyasha marked her first, Kagome would be lost to him
as a mate forever, Koga did the only thing he could come up with in a split
second. Inuyasha sank his fangs into Kagome�s neck, the blood of his mate
tickled his tongue and sent a pulse through him that was unparallel to anything
he had felt before.
            Haha! I got her first, Kagome ismatemate!
I�ve never been so happy�ouch! What the hell is that? Inuyasha felt a
sharp prick, but did not let go of Kagome�s neck, he was still in the process of
marking her. He tentatively brought his hand up to feel what was causing him
pain and was horrified at the findings. Koga had sunk his fangs into Inuyasha�s
neck, marking him as his mate.
            Inuyasha screamed into Kagome�s neck, the
muffled sound was his desperate attempt to break Koga�s canine grip. Pulling
his teeth from Kagome, Inuyasha sat up, Koga pressed against his back still
piercing his skin.
            �Get off me!� Inuyasha squirmed, trying
anything to get the wolf demon to let go. Koga did not let his fangs retreat
until the mark was complete. With a grin and Inuyasha�s blood on his lips, Koga
finally moved away from the outraged hanyou.
            �What the hell did you mark me for?!� Inuyasha
took an offensive stance, ready to pounce and rip the wolf apart. A deep laugh
came from Koga�s chest, he wiped the blood off his lips with the back of his
hand and knelt down beside Kagome. �Hey, you can�t mark her! I already marked
her, get away from her!� Inuyasha tried to push Koga away from Kagome who was
staring at them, obviously confused by what was going on.
            �I can mark her, and I will. For you see,
mate, anything that belongs to my mate, also belongs to me�and since Kagome
belongs to you, and you belong to me�I think you get the idea.� Koga leaned
over Kagome�s body, rolling her head so he could mark the opposite side that
Inuyasha did. Isha�sha�s head pounded, crap! He�s right, he can mark her if
she�s mine and he marked me.
            As Koga�s teeth sank into Kagome�s soft flesh,
Inuyasha cracked his knuckles, you wanna play that way, then see how you like
it! Tg adg advantage of Koga�s vulnerable position, Inuyasha chose a quick
revenge and attached himself to Koga�s neck. Koga only smiled into Kagome�s
neck, what an interesting little group we are.
            Five minutes later they all sat in a circle,
fiddling with the small wounds on their necks. Kagome seemed the most dazed,
but they were all a little hazy since the marking process created an
impenetrable bond between mates. Koga spoke first, breaking the heavy silence,
�Well mates�we should get cleaned up. There�s a hot spring a little ways north
of here.�
       &;&nb;    Inuyasha sniffed around, �Yeah, we could use
some of that flowery smelling stuff you use Kagome�do you have any with you?�
Kagome slowly stood up, wincing when she realized how sore she was from the
day�s activities. �Yes, I have some soap with me, it�s in my backpack. But I
don�t know if I can walk that far.� Her knees were weak and Koga barely caught
her before she fell back onto her butt. �Don�t worry, I�ll carry you.�
            Koga had taken a few steps when Inuyasha came
up beside him, �I can carry her.�

Inuyasha eyed the wolf. �I�ve already got her in my arms, I�ll carry her.�
Koga kept walking. The two started to squabble while walking back to their
makeshift camp. Kagome closed her eyes completely irritated with their
bickering. �SIT!� She yelled causing Inuyasha to slam into the ground.
            �What did you do that for? And that�s not
fair, you can�t sit Koga, so you shouldn�t be able to sit me either!� Inuyasha
bellowed from the ground. Kagome thought for a moment, I can�t sit Koga�yet�
