- Own very little, least of all Inuyasha
Inuyasha had been watching her the entire time. “What is she doing?” he asked softly. She removed several items from her bag and spread them over the ground. Two blankets, a bottle of water and a row of shiny packages. She built a small fire and then reached into her bag again. He watched as she put on a silky kimono and discarded several items of clothing from under it. When she turned and called to him, he froze. “Inuyasha?” She called again. “Are you still here?” she asked, a slight tremble in her voice. The fear in her voice prompted him to move. He jumped down from the tree, landing in front of her. Kagome smiled at him, “You scared me.” she said softly.
“I would never leave you alone.” he said gruffly.
“I know. I just…” she trailed off and met his eyes. “I know.” She took a deep breath and placed a hand on his chest. “I love you, Inuyasha. I wanted to come here tonight to ask you to make love to me.”
His eyes widened and he took a step back, “Kagome...” he started.
She cut him off, “Inuyasha. It’s okay that you don’t love me back. I just want you to know how much I love you.” While he was searching for something to say, Kagome came up to him and kissed him gently.
While everything inside him was screaming at him to take her, he still resisted. If Naraku found out about this, he wasn’t sure he’d be able to protect her. But he loved her, loved her beyond anything and everything. His need to protect her was strong, but his need for her was stronger.
He watched her, his beautiful eyes showing his confusion and then unknown to him, his love. Studying him, she waited. He growled, pulling her towards him. “Are you sure?”
“If I wasn’t, do you think I would have gone through all this trouble?” He growled again, “If I make love to you now, I won’t ever let you go.”
Her eyes widened slightly, “Inuyasha. I don’t want you to make love to me so you feel trapped to me. I just want to know what your love feels like.”
“Kagome. My love has always been yours.” he said, touching her face softly. Leaning in, he swiftly claimed her lips. His arms went around her and crushed her body to his. He ran his hands down the silk, her curves forming to his hands. He broke the kiss when he smelled tears. “What’s wrong?” he asked softly.
“You love me?”
“Of course I do you silly wench.” She laughed softly.
“I was so scared you would reject me.”
His hands framed her face. “I’ll never turn away from you.” He gave her one of his genuine smiles but it quickly faded. He leaned his forehead against hers, “If Naraku knew about any of this, I know he will come after you. Just to hurt me.” she nodded, agreeing.
“I know.” she kissed him again, “But can we worry about that later?”
She stepped back and opened her robe, revealing her lacy bra and matching underwear. He growled and she smiled. “I guess you like what you see.”
