Chapter 1. A Taiyoukai�s
Resolution

Sesshoumaru is calmly sitting on a branch nearby, all
this time watching Kagome. He cannot take his eyes away from the miko, nor can he move his body and go to where he�s
supposed to be. He just sat there, staring, studying the miko.
�What could I possibly to?� He asked, though finds it horrible that he, the
great ruler of the western lands, can�t find a way to
solve this problem.

He doesn�t know what to do, nor can he find
the words to say, at least. All he finds, in his defeat, is to stare at the miko, not so far away. �I need to do something�� he finally
said to himself.

With a swift movement, his feet landed
softly on the green grass, standing next to Kagome. Kagome, feeling an alien
presence, turned her back and stared at the taiyoukai
standing next to her.

�Ses�sesshoumaru?� she asked,
unbelieving. �W�what are you doing here?� she asked again.

�Miko�� he said
but no other words come next as he completely finds himself unable to speak any
further.

�You must be looking for Inuyasha,
right?� she said as she turned her position back, hiding her face beneath her
bangs. �He must be with Kikyou�� she said in a very

�The undead miko?
I have no concern of the hanyou,� he said as he
kneeled by her side. �Your lifeless tone�� he said as his hands tried to reach

�It�s nothing,� she answered as she
deliberately moved her face out of Sesshoumaru�s reach and started walking far

Sesshoumaru froze to his position and felt a pang in
his heart. How could she deliberately say such things which he finds too cruel
to take? He does not allow such words to fall to his ears without making anyone
suffer of great extent. But she�

He immediately rose from the ground and
grabbed Kagome�s wrist, almost hurting her. He does not want to hurt her but he
won�t let her get away just like that. He will find the answers to his
questions, whether she gives it willingly or not.

screamed as she tried freeing herself from the taiyoukai�s

But he did not let her go and he did not
answer her as well. He even does not know what do next. He is completely
clueless to what he would do.

like tormenting people like they don�t have any feelings at all?� she said in a
low tone, hiding her eyes but her tears fell to be noticed by Sesshoumaru.

�Miko, Inuyasha caused your pain�� he said out loud. Anger started

Kagome felt like she had already lost. Her

Kagome felt like she is in a kind of a
trance as she, for the first time, has the opportunity to study the taiyoukai features. He is like a god, perfect and powerful.
In an unknown reason, she stood from where she is sitting and leaps in his arms
as their lips met. Sesshoumaru took it welcomingly

Moments later, Sesshoumaru
