Ok, I hate school. My English Lit teacher is a monster. I’m sure that it’s against some rule in the teacher’s guide book to hate a student. But I’m sure that Mr. Naraku does. Math was ok, but with Mr. Jaken out for the day it was another lame sub. The rest of the day was a blur, I just know that it was long and I really wanted to leave and go to Kagome’s. The only thing that I didn’t plan on was how difficult it would be to get there. Seeing as I had to provide transportation for both myself and Kohaku. The only thing that I could think of was something that I saw on TV where two people were on the bike one rode the bike while the other sat in the handle bars. But for a couple of klutzes like us it was easier said than done. I think we crashed or hit at least 5 times before we got to our destination. I think the next thing I save up for is a car or a bike built for 3 if there is such a thing. I never want to be in that position ever again.

“On today’s agenda, we are going to work on the art of the blank stare, with the use of these.” Rin reached into her bag and pulled out four pairs of sunglasses. She had been watching some world series of poker and noticed that the players wore them to help them from giving away to much. I guess those guys can tell what kind of hand you have or if you are bluffing from the way your eyes dilate, or something. The guys thought that it was a cool idea. But being guys they pretended to be cops by trying to interrogate each other while wearing them. “Hey losers, lets get back to task at hand please.”

“Ok, little lady. Do you know how fast you were going? I’m going to need your license and registration.”

“Shut up Sota. You guys are so lame. Are we going to play cards or just horse around? If so then I’m going to watch TV.”

“Oh come on Rin, we’re just messing around.” Shippo chimed in. We played for while, but gave up seeing as the guys wanted to play guess ‘how do my eyes look?’ So I gave up and went in to the living room, but only stayed for a minute seeing as I was hungry so I went into the kitchen to find something to snack on. When I walked in there I found that Kagome was in there.

“Hey Kagome, how’s it going?” But I could tell by the look in her eyes that it was time for another girly heart to heart. You see Kagome has taken a personal interest in me. Since I don’t have any female friends or siblings she had opened her door to help with me with all things girly. She thinks I’m weird that I’m still a tomboy. But I do got to love her for caring so much.

“Can I steal you for a minute?”

“Yeah, sure.” Oh goody! We walked into the private den and she closed the door. But then I got nervous with today’s subject matter.

“So Rin, I’ve noticed that and your little posse are starting your massive hang out time again. Did you stop working at the hot dog place?”

“Nah, laid off. But its ok. It would have distracted me from school and stuff if I was still working. And besides I saved up enough for my cell phone and that was the reason for the job to begin with.”

“Well now that it has been a little time since the last time that we have talked, have you taken an interest in any of your little playmates?”

“Um…. Well… to tell you the truth…” Kagome hung on each one of my words and it seemed to be sitting on me waiting for me to finish my sentence. “No. I love those guys like they were my own brothers. I’ve spent so much of my life acting like one of the guys, I really don’t think they even see me as a girl. Well that is until nature caught up with me.” I pointed down to my growing female figure. I knew that my mom was stacked and that I would cursed with the same affliction.

Kagome giggled. “Well I know the boys definitely don’t see you as one of the boys now. Sota likes you a lot and Shippo….” She let her words trail off.

“…I knew about Shippo. It was hard to ignore when he shoved his tongue down my throat.” I gave a sort of half smile at the memory and blushed up a little. It was definitely not the most shinning moment in my long time friendship with him. “But we both felt awkward after it. So then we knew it wasn’t meant to be.”

Kagome looked completely shocked, “He did what? Now that doesn’t sound like my little Shippo.”

“He did ask. But after I reluctantly said yes, he got overly excited and tried to assult me with his mouth. But really, Sota? All this time I thought that he was afraid of me.”

“I really think its something new, would you ever consider?...”

“No, there is no way. Sorry Kag’s I just can’t see myself with any members of fellow club members. I’m not to sure what kind of guy I’m interested in, but I think I can see myself with an older guy. My reason is a little odd though.”

“Is it because they can seem to be more mature?”

“No I don’t think that is it. I’m not that mature myself, so why would I want a guy that was? I think it’s because I just can’t see myself interested in any guys my own age. So by process of elimination I guess it has to be older guys.”

“Aww I will have to figure out a way to break it to Sota. He made me swear not to mention anything to you. So I need to be careful how I put it. Too bad there isn’t a guy already that you liked so then I would have a reason to know that you aren’t interested in him.”

“I won’t say anything to him, I promise.” That’s when I got up and returned to the kitchen, where the guys were pigging out. With the news that I just got from Kagome, as I walked by Sota, I slugged him in the arm. “So did you punks leave me anything to eat, or do I get the crumbs again?” Sota was sort of in shock that I punched him and gawked at me as he rubbed his arm.

“Ow, what gives Rin?” He looked at his arm to see if it was bruising. I sort of laughed

“It’s for something that you will do later.” I could her Kagome sigh as she heard my response and she mumbled under her breath, “Oh, Rin.”

To my surprise I found that the normally big pigs left me some popcorn chicken for me, I figured it was Sota’s doing. After eating we adjourned to the living room to watch some poker on TV. Kagome excused herself to do some “homework” upstairs. I figured her boyfriend Inuyasha showed up around the same time, so that’s what I figured she was really doing upstairs. It was confirmed when some loud music started playing through the ceiling a few minutes later. “Inuyasha is here.” I said. The guys started laughing. But then I remember the conversation with Kags a little bit ago and that’s when I noticed that Sota was sitting really close to me. In that moment I realized that there was the sign. “Oh man, I should’ve known.” I said to myself.

We watched poker for like an hour but it was kind of slow so we decided to channel surf. This usually consists of us fighting over the remote and a lot of groaning at the others choices. Just as I knocked over Kohaku and nabbed the remote the door bell rang. I really think that the guys can’t hear the decibel the bell comes in at because they just sat there. “So I guess I’m the only one that heard the door, no don’t worry. I’LL get it.” I dropped the remote on the couch and made my way to the door. Who would have guessed that opening the door would change everything? When the door opened standing there was the most wonderful beautiful god like creature I have ever laid my eyes upon. I tried to greet him, but I was actually speechless.

“Hello, Is Inuyasha here?” Spoke the silver haired god. Through every force in my being I was able to make my head nod yes. But still couldn’t make my vocal cords work at all. I was also by sure will able to move aside to allow him entrance to the house. Still trying to find my voice I took a step back and I realized that helped my senses. He had a strange and yet wonderful fragrance and it intoxicated me. Take a couple more steps back I was starting to feel like myself, just with a severe case of cotton mouth. I cleared my throat and spoke, rather horse-ly “Excuse me… Um…. He’s in the other room with Kagome and I’m sure that they can’t hear the door over the music.” I quickly turned my tail and ran down the hall and up the stairs. Just glad to clear my head, I knocked hard on the door. “Kagome, Inuyasha! Someone is here for you Inuyasha!” I screamed. After a minute or two they immerged, I couldn’t walk back out to the front door alone so I waited for them.

“Rin, its just my ass of a brother.” He said as we made our way into the entry way. “Hey Sessho-loser, what in the hell are you doing here?”

“Listen mutt, I’m not here to exchange insults with you….”

“Yeah if we were too I would have you beat six ways from Sunday.” Inuyasha interrupted

“… Half breed Father says he wants you home, NOW! It was very immature for you to just walk out like that.”

“Well Pop’s should’ve asked me politely instead of throwing that hissy fit. I would’ve gotten to it sooner or later.”

“It will be in your best interest to go home, now!” Inuyasha’s heavenly brother said firmly, actually the tone sent shivers up my spine. I couldn’t move I was so hypnotized the man just screamed sex appeal. He was in fact… Perfect. In a moment of clarity I was able to pry my eyes away from the god in the door way and glanced at Kagome. I could tell she noticed my awe-struck face because she was beaming with pride. In an instant she broke the eye contact and I was forced to return my gaze back to the silver haired hunk as Kagome spoke.

“Sesshomaru don’t be rude. This is Rin, a friend of my brothers. Rin, this is Sesshomaru, Inuyasha’s older brother. The beautiful Sesshomaru turned and looked at me

“Hello, Rin.” He extended his hand to shake I reached out and took it. Once our hands touched it was like an electric shock that coursed throughout my entire body and it felt amazing.

I struggled to breath and carefully spoke, “Uh, hello Sesshomaru.” Saying his name felt wonderful rolling off my lips. I’m sure that I was as red as tomato. That’s when Kagome excused us and dragged me from the beautiful site. I was disappointed to leave his gaze. But was quickly gaining back all my facilities.

“Rin, Oh my god. I saw that look.” She squealed “I know when I first met him it took me like a whole minute to remove my jaw from the floor. Isn’t he just stunning.”

“Uh huh.” I was feeling better but still I guess not all my speaking abilities. I was flabbergasted

“You’ll regain consciousness soon. I don’t think your love sick clan would like to see you like this.” I was sort of shocked that she said that

“Is it really that noticeable? Oh god.” I said while, in vain, I tried to cover my face. “He must have seen me as a complete geek, just standing there drooling over him?”

“I don’t know if he actually noticed that. But yeah if the guys saw you they would have been upset.”

I was now in complete control of my thoughts, and wanted info. “He’s not married or anything like that is he?”

“Nope, free as a bird. According to Inu he’s very um.. picky when it comes to girls. He could have any one he wants but I think he’s looking for something in particular. Why? What are you thinking?”

“ I don’t know… Uh I’m still shook up, but I am glad he’s single.” Now I could feel the heat on my face, I’m sure I was beet red by now. Then I was startled by a knock on the door. A part of me wished it was god incarnate Sesshomaru. But once I heard the Inuyasha’s voice. I started to breath again.

“So Kaggie I have to run. Captain Killjoy won’t leave till I do.” He gives her a quick kiss and looks over at me. “Hey kiddo don’t worry my half brother is completely oblivious and he is used to girl just about fainting at his feet. I don’t know why, he’s a smug stick in the mud. Just be glad your buds didn’t get off the couch…” And with that comment I was completely mortified, even Inuyasha noticed.

“Inu don’t embarrass Rin like that. The poor thing.” She walks over to me and puts her arm around me. “I’m sorry, he can be a real jerk sometimes. But don’t worry everything will be ok. You feeling better? I’m sure at some point those boys are going to notice the ‘babe’ is missing.”
“I’m fine, wait what did you call me?”

“Sorry that was what Sota called you.” Kagome laughed, and got a little upset. “When he told me he liked you, he said that you are such a babe. I found the comment amusing then. But knowing you, you are going to punish him for that comment, aren’t you?”

I didn’t answer, but he will get it. I just got up took a deep breath and walked backed to the living room. Still feeling flushed I tried not to look at the door, fearing that I would turn back into the walking tomato girl. I decided to not join the guys on the couch, but choose to sit on the safe chair on the other side of the room. With the news about Sota and finding the most perfect man on earth this has been one unbelievable day.
