Chapter 2: Poison
That next evening, Aimaru was in Jabora’s chambers drinking hard brewed demon sake while listening to his little brother sob his pitiful story of a broken heart. Since that morning his little brother begged and pleaded for him to join him while he drank his sorrows away, so Aimaru eventually conceded and decided to play the comforting big brother. It was the least he could do. It was disappointing really. And here he was so looking forward to saying… “I told you so”. Well at least perhaps now his bullheaded brother would listen to him for a change. “Jabora I believe that you’ve had enough for the evening.” Aimaru sighed in a dreary tone as he reached to pry the unfinished bottle of sake from his brother slender fingers. “We already cleaned half of big brother’s supply of finely brewed sake. Heaven forbid the new shipment doesn’t arrive on time tomorrow before he takes note of it.” Jabora tightened his grip on the bottle then waved a sloppy hand about, smacking himself in the face. “Oh pooo.” He hackled as he yanked the bottle back out of his brother’s hands. “He owes me this. I’m suffering a heart broken beyond repair, and this,” he raised a filled cup high in the air spilling the sake all over Aimaru’s haori, “won’t even begin compensate for the damages. Of course you won’t know anything about such things anyway.” He finished in a hazy slur. Aimaru sighed and dusted the droplets off his clothing and stood the gather the untouched bottles of sake. He reached again for the half finished bottle his little brother was hugging against his chest. Annoyed at his brother’s drunken antics, Aimaru gave another tug on the bottle while speaking firmly to his drunken sibling. “It’s time to call it a night brother.” Jabora gripped the bottled tighter while shaking his head sloppily, sending his long black hair wildly about his head. “NO, Let go Aimaru!” “Jabora….” The bigger demon warned. “Aimaru…” the drunken demon hissed back. Both demons stared down one another for a moment. “Fine.” Aimaru barked and released the bottle suddenly letting his little brother tumble back on his bed spilling the sake all over his red satin coverlet. “Just don’t do anything foolish. We all know what disasters you cause when you get like this, don’t we?” Aimaru smirked at Jabora’s fumbling form. “Go fuck yourself into the oblivion of seven hells from wince you sprung forth from you bastard.” Jabora hissed and hung from the edge of his bed in misery as a headache began to pound in his skull. “And take that arrogant ice prick with you.” He reached up to cover his mouth to hold in a dry heave. With a chuckle, Aimaru rose from the bed and walked to the door to leave, blowing out candles on the way. “Indeed, I’ll remember to send a letter to let you know how grand of a time we’re having,” He closed the door with a taunting smile plastered on his face. “You do that…uh.” Jabora held his stomach and his mouth as he felt his gut heave again. After a few bouts, he eventually tossed the bottle out of his bed and sat on the edge of the mattress glaring at the moon shinning through his window with hatred. It reminded him all too much of a certain demon who broke his heart so ruthlessly. He’ll be sure to tell Aimaru to drag that wretched thing along with him and Sesshoumaru to hell. Jabora shook his dainty fist at the moon as he hiccupped his vow, “Bastard…I’ll show you…A lover’s scorn will be the last thing you…feel tonight…” He promised as he slowly made to stand but fell over on his mattress out cold, completely unaware of the red eyes that watched him though his window. The being enter the slumbering demon’s room silently then smiled coldly down at his form. This was almost too easy. The night was cool and windy sending the demon lord’s long silver hair blowing lightly in the breeze as he strolled slowly through his lands. A tolerable if not pleasant evening it was. He paused to look up at the moon shining brightly in the dark night sky, casting a soft silver glow across the green grass fields and lush tree tops. This was his element. Sesshoumaru was a being of the night, observer of all that happens in the darkness. He was of that in which he was marked. Lord and Alpha of the Moon Inu Demon Tribe. He reached out far with his youkai to warn any who were near that he was alpha male and these lands were his. On the edges of his mind he could sense the lower class demons scuttling father from his vicinity towards safety, which of course was where his lands ended. A few high class demons who were not local residents responded by touching his youkai aurora with a weaker youkai aurora, showing their submission out of respect for his alpha status. They showed they wished no ill will or challenge to his authority and only ask for permission to take up residence in his lands. Sesshoumaru sent back an answering flow of power granting them permission to reside upon his lands for the time being. He will still require a formal audience with them in the morning to properly determine whether or not they are worthy enough to reside within his court. Odd how well behaved most demons were among his lands when it didn’t involve a female. Then they were practically the most civilized beings he’s ever dealt with. Beside the current mating season crisis among the local demons living upon his lands, he was surprised to find that he didn’t need to solve most of the disturbances with his sword. All seemed to find his presence enough to placate them. As it should be of course, although it was less entertaining that way. It was much more preferable to writing and barking orders all day as his daily routine. Settling disputes verbally or in written form was so often that the demon lord barely find time to meditate or slay insignificant demons; the only two past times he enjoyed, now practically stripped from him. Sesshoumaru breathe in deeply the fresh aroma of the trees, the earth, and the flowing waters of the river close by and stilled when something alerted him. A presence he was familiar yet unfamiliar with tingled along the edges of his senses. It was definitely that of a demon yet he couldn’t place a face to who this being was because of the thick oppressive darkness dancing around its aurora. A darkness so thick that it almost rivaled the hanyou filth named Naraku. The other demon was close yet nowhere the demon lord could exactly place. That was a feat among itself to conceal one’s location from someone as keen as the demon lord himself. Almost as if this demon’s skills matched that of his own. Without warning, before the demon lord could move to counter the other demon’s attack; he was slashed angrily across his back, nearly ripping his haori off his body. Claws scrapped against bone from the deep slashes where the demon lord could feel the swift injection of poison entering his body. Immediately he could feel his back burn and blistered under the cool night air. It coursed through his veins burning like lava to his core. Whoever this demon was, Sesshoumaru have clearly underestimated his strength. It happened so fast that the demon lord was stunned for but a second. He kept his faced cool and indifferent as he casually glanced back to assess the damage done to his flesh. Sesshoumaru then locked his sharp golden eyes on the figure jumping from spot to spot at lightning speed in an attempt to confuse him. He was able to keep his eyes locked on the moving target with ease until his vision suddenly began to blur and become fuzzy so that he was no longer able to make-out his elusive enemy’s exact identity. It was at that time when the dark foe granted the demon lord permission to look upon his now motionless form. The arrogance of this foe annoyed the demon lord. He simply stood there silent and still, simply waiting. It wasn’t hard to guess what his enemy waited for. Eventually Sesshoumaru’s sense of self began to fail him. Slowly he felt his mind slip into a state of dizziness and unawareness. Everything was gradually falling out of sync and comprehension. It all unnerved the demon lord. He would have to make waste of this fool quickly before his lack of sense gets the better of him. A deep dark chuckle echoed along the walls of his mind. Again he couldn’t recognize the person’s voice. He blinked his eyes in an attempt to clear his golden orbs of the thick fuzziness that obscured his vision. But all he could make out was the demon’s dark form and…his teal colored haori? No, this person formed was framed by a black obi. This being wore a kimono. A teal colored kimono with white splotches and pinkish dots splashed on it. The details were all blurred and blended but he could make it out enough; enough to remember a certain demon who wore the very same kimono. There was no other who fit the description. But then this whole situation was off. He doesn’t recall that demon possessing such stealth and speed. It all doesn’t add up in the demon lord’s ever calculating mind that was currently starting to fail him. With cold narrowed eyes, he watched the demon take slow measured steps towards him. Unsure if the demon lord was succumbing to the poison raking through his veins. “Jabora, you will pay dearly for your treachery.” Sesshoumaru calmly called out to the other demon who in turned stilled at the demon lord’s words. There was a pause before the other demon chuckled as if the demon lord’s threat was genuinely amusing. “Will I?” And with that the other demon suddenly vanished. From what little that Sesshoumaru could tell, he could sense that he was heading in the direction of the Western Palace. It was as if this fool wanted Sesshoumaru to kill him. Catching what little bearing he had left, the demon lord gave chase after the demon. - Jabora whined and hiccupped as he rolled to his side to hang off the edge of his bed. His head swam to and fro with a hard pounding that rattled the sensitive edges of his mind. He silently cursed his brother for allowing him to drink so much. He knew better than to let him drink like a fish and now here he was in pain because of his big brother’s negligence. Where did that bastard go off too anyway? He wondered while looking about his room. Before Jabora could move, the silent tall form of the demon lord suddenly loomed in from his opened window. Jabora swung his aching head in the demon lord’s direction and scoffed rudely, “Oh…so you come to apologize have you? Well I …” he hiccupped, “wont forgive you.” He slurred to the approaching demon lord. He scowled as he took in the demon lord’s reddening eyes and green claws. “On second thought love, maybe I forgive you after all.” Jabora added hastily when the demon lord steadily approached him. “Uh…Sesshoumaru darling are you well?” When the demon lord continued his approach Jabora rose from the bed seconds before Sesshoumaru unleashed his whip across the mattress, spilling the feathers into the night air. Jabora couldn’t decide which shocked him more, the fact that he missed or the fact he was attacking him at all. “Die.” Was the only response Jabora gotten from the demon lord before he jumped out of the way of his whip. “Sesshoumaru….sweetie, you are clearly not yourself. No…stop…” Jabora ducked another miscalculated crack of the demon lord’s whip, shattering the window screen behind him. “Aimaru!” he finally screamed to the top of his lungs. He squealed and ducked out of the way when Sesshoumaru lunged at him. The demon lord’s claws touched down narrowly missing Jabora destroying his prized wooden vanity. Jabora was crouched on the other side of his bed watching Sesshoumaru look aimlessly about his room panting harshly. It was as if something was ailing the demon lord. When the demon lord leaned against the wall as he clutched his chest in agony, Jabora had to clamp his mouth shut with his hands and turn away from the agonizing scene to keep from calling out for help for the demon lord. Sesshoumaru may be distressed now but who’s to say that he won’t tear him to pieces before help arrives. But he looked to be in so much pain and to be expressing it so openly means there was something very wrong with him. Whatever it was, it was most definitely fatal to affect someone like Sesshoumaru. Jabora whined pitifully then peeked over the edge of the bed to find the demon lord no longer leaning against the wall on the far side of his chambers. Panicked, he looked about to find the room empty, at least until he turn back around to find the demon lord standing over him growling menacingly. “Sesshoumaru please…” “What the hell happened in…here?” Aimaru asked when he eyed the ruined wardrobe then spotted Sesshoumaru standing before his little brother in nothing but his hakamas. He wasn’t sure what to make of the scene before him. “Did I come at a bad time?” he stepped back from the ferocity of Sesshoumaru’s snarl. “Indeed.” “Aimaru, this is no time for jokes! Help me! He is not himself!” Jabora practically screeched at an inhumane volume while reaching out to him. “Why …” Aimaru started to ask then spotted the bleeding claw marks in Sesshoumaru back. He turned angry eyes to Jabora who was cowering away from Sesshoumaru’s menacing form. “You didn’t…” he hissed, “Jabora tell me you didn’t!” “I didn’t I swear!!” Jabora pleaded as Sesshoumaru lifted his glowing claws ready to slay the cowering demon. Quickly, Aimaru snatched Jabora mere seconds before the demon lord brought poisoned claws down smashing and melting everything they touched. The entire room was in shambles. On the far side of the bedroom, Aimaru and Jabora looked back in time to spot Sesshoumaru leaving the room through the shattered window. “Well isn’t this just lovely.” Aimaru said sarcastically, turning angry eyes to his cringing little brother clinging desperately to his hakamas. - Outside the palace, scaling the palace walls Sesshoumaru sped across the expanse of land into the thick darkness of the forest. Colors swam in his vision. His body felt as if it was on fire as he sped through the trees. Sesshoumaru fought to form a coherent thought. He felt caught in a haze, a red cloudy haze and all he could feel was heat, and a painful blistering inferno that boiled and scorched his insides. It throbbed and pulsed through his body leaving him aching for something. He’d felt this before only under much different circumstances. It was a feeling that left you craving completion, to seek comfort in another person’s flesh. Need, Sesshoumaru finally understood. That’s what had overcome his body. It was a pure, blinding, unadulterated need. His cock throbbed and twitched with a building heat coiling beneath the surface of his tender flesh. The poison circulated through his blood stream, leaving a scalding trail through his veins to his genitals. It kept building and building and yet the feeling of a climax never came. His body felt too restricted and suddenly he wanted out of his clothes. It was too much. He skin itched and crawled as need plagued his body. He found himself longing for freedom; for that bliss; that plateau that crept along the edges of his mind as the beginning of an orgasm taunted him with a comfort that wouldn’t come. He wanted the sensation of that climax so bad it was practically killing him. His mind was so overcome with desire everything else fell out of his mind completely. The desire becoming too much, he stopped to lean against the nearest tree suddenly unable to support the heavy weight of his body. The breath within his lungs was like fire blowing thick puffs into the frigid night air. The poison finally filled his already hard aching genitals with its lust inducing essence. He braced his back against the tree behind him, as pre-cum leaked heavily from the rosy tip of his cock, it twitched and jerked within his hakamas beneath the thin material. The silky cloth rubbing across his painfully erected sex drove him nearly insane, shaking him to his very core. It felt so good, yet hurt so much, making the demon lord miserable. Sesshoumaru fell to his hands and knees as a small orgasm skittered through his body giving him little to no relief, leaving him trembling and out of breath on the forest floor. More, the demon lord wanted more. He demanded silently as his eyes bled red, glowing dangerously among the forest trees. He climbed to his feet and tore blindly through the forest at top speed, losing more of himself to the desire that ate away at his mind, threatening to destroy his sanity. - Jabora and Aimaru whispered back and forth with each other as they made their way to Lady Inu Kimi’s chamber after being summoned. They had a feeling someone spotted Sesshoumaru leaving the palace in the state he was in, which left them the problem of struggling to conjure up a decent alibi for his sudden departure. “I’m telling brother it wasn’t me that attacked him. He was like that when I woke up to find him standing over my bed ready to slay me.” Jabora hissed quietly to Aimaru who paced quickly beside him. Aimaru stride was long and hurried as he shook his head. “I saw the wounds myself. It was clearly the work of someone from our tribe. ” “But…” Jabora started weakly. “Be quiet.” Aimaru cut him off harshly as they neared his mother’s chambers. “We will discuss this later in private. Don’t say or do anything. I will do all the talking, do you understand me?” When Jabora nodded somberly, Aimaru entered his mother’s chambers. He had his work cut out for him trying to convince his mother that all was well then finding where Sesshoumaru ran off too all the while insuring the well being of the Western Lands and Court. “Where is my son? The guards on duty outside the palace wall spotted Sesshoumaru leaving quickly from the palace.” Inu Kimi asked as soon as the two men entered her chambers, glaring coldly. She crossed her arms tightly and waited for an explanation. Aimaru paused at the tugging on his haori from behind by his brother’s trembling hand. “Perhaps there were matters he had to attend to.” He kept his silver eyes flat and unconcerned as he stare back at his mother. Inu Kimi narrowed her eyes suspiciously. “And what matters were so important that he would have to leave the palace in such a hurry?” “He left before I could question him. Are you not able to govern the palace on your own mother?” Aimaru quickly added to change the subject. “Of course I am. I’m only worried for my son. I find it hard to believe that he would just up and leave the palace without a word to me. We have unmated females of regal and noble birth here for refuge from those unmated barbarians.” “I apologize mother.” Inu Kimi waved an irritated hand. “This is clear negligence on Sesshoumaru’s part. He isn’t fit to govern the lands here should he continue to be so reckless. Important matters my claw. Insuring the stability of your tribe and palace should be first priority above all else. I won’t even begin to imagine what the eastern lands would do if word got out that the Western Lord had abandoned his Palace at a time like this. What Alpha abandons his territory during mating season? His father had taught that son of mine better than that.” She reached up to massage an aching temple. “We have no choice but to wait for him to return.” Aimaru and Jabora looked between one another at a loss for words. With the state of mind the demon lord was in it would be impossible to determine when he will come back to his senses and return to the palace. But then it would also prove catastrophic should the Sesshoumaru return and still intend to slay Jabora. How could they possibly explain the situation then? But then this could prove a good opportunity to remedy this in a way that doesn’t let his brother fall under suspicion. “I wish to volunteer to go search for him mother.” Aimaru finally answered. “Why, when we could just wait for him to return? Do you believe he’s not coming back?” “No. But perhaps there’s a chance something’s wrong with him. Someone would have to bring him back should there be a chance that he is unwell.” Inu Kimi glared suspiciously at Aimaru. “We have a search party under our beck and call.” Anticipating that, Aimaru replied smoothly. “Word spread quickly and not accurately mother. You can’t assume that the people of the western court won’t assume the worst of this situation and question the authority of their alphas. And should it be that Sesshoumaru has in fact fallen ill, who else do you trust that is strong enough to discretely bring him back here to be properly treated without causing panic among the locals?” Inu Kimi reclined back I her chair as she contemplated Aimaru’s words. “Very well. I trust you to handle things discretely and in a timely fashion?” “Of course.” Aimaru kept his gaze indifferent as he spoke. “What are we to do in the mean time in Sesshoumaru’s absence? The western lands are still in chaos and the Western Palace will be without its lord and Alpha.” Massaging her temples tightly, Inu Kimi exhaled a tired breath and looked irritable to her second eldest son. “I will take care of matters here. I shall distract the court with something. In the mean time you will be prompt with your mission Aimaru.” Aimaru bowed low before his mother then swiftly left her chambers with Jabora right on his heels. “Well?” Jabora asked nervously when they were down the hall. “Will this all work in our favor?” “We’ll will discuss this in my chamber…little brother.” Aimaru said firmly putting bite to his last words in warning. - Inu Kimi watched the secretive pair leave her chambers. There was something that Aimaru wasn’t telling her. She couldn’t smell any deceit coming from him when he spoke but the fear and dread emitting of his half brother in waves was a clear give away that something was amiss. Then there was the fact the Sesshoumaru had left the palace in such a rush. The disturbing fact was that the guards on duty claimed they spotted Sesshoumaru in nothing but his hakamas, but they weren’t sure because her son moved too fast to get a good look. Could her son have fallen victim to what’s ailing the Inu Males of the Moon tribe and Aimaru was covering for him protect the image of the West? If so why hide it from her? She wondered while beckoning her hand servant over with her youkai. She would have to do some investigating of her own it seems. Things are already in a morbid state as it was and she needn’t anymore surprises in the future. - In Aimaru’s room, Jabora paced back and forth across the floor nervously while Aimaru reclined regally upon his overly large bed. “Little brother must you wear a whole within my floor?” “Oh shut up.” Jabora snapped at his brother in a hiss. “Are you sure she doesn’t suspect anything of me? I know for a fact that I have done nothing, but it will be difficult to prove that.” he asked again nervously. Aimaru sighed in annoyance. If that confound question should grace his ears again. Aimaru will go mad. “Yes, I’m positive she doesn’t suspect anything…of you.” He assured his panicked brother. Though he himself knew the possibility of her suspicion was high he didn’t want further the demon’s worry more than what it was now. “What are we going to do about Sesshoumaru?” Aimaru sat up to pin his brother with narrowed silver eyes. “We? What are we going to do about Sesshoumaru?” he asked while pointing between himself and the haughty demon standing in the middle of his floor. “There are no we. I am going alone to search for our brother and bring him back in one piece, preferably sane and less homicidal than when he left, while you hope he doesn’t come back to slay you in your sleep little brother.” He taunted with a smirk. Jabora clenched his fist while he fought to keep from choking his brother. “In all seriousness brother, do you have any idea whatsoever as to why Sesshoumaru would want to …”he gulped audibly, “kill me?” he choked on the last words. He watched his brother shrug an indifferent shoulder. After a moment of silence, Aimaru finally spoke, “Are you sure you didn’t attack him brother?” Jabora huffed and crossed his arms tightly. “I have already told you I didn’t. I thought of all people, you would at least believe me.” Aimaru watched his brother closely and he spoke calmly. “With all due respect little brother, of all people in this palace you have a very good reasons to have malicious intentions towards Sesshoumaru. He did break your frail little heart after all. Who’s to say that you didn’t attempt to attack out of revenge in your drunken stupor?” “I was too drunk to even stand on my own two feet much less attack the powerful demon lord of the west. I had passed out as soon as you left my room.” Jabora argued. Unconvinced, Aimaru insisted, “Are you positive you didn’t wake up and acted under the influence brother?” Jabora frowned. “I woke up to find Sesshoumaru in my room. How can I pass out then wake up to attack Sesshoumaru and then return to my room to pass out only to wake up to find him in my room?” he question nervously not sure if he was making sense. Aimaru shrugged, “If what you claim is indeed true, it seems as if someone is attempting to frame one of you. A very sad attempt I might add. I’m positive it’s someone who is of our Tribe according to the wounds on Sesshoumaru’s back.” Jabora gasped. “But the only people here of the Sun Inu Tribe would be me, you, and a handful of guards and unmated demoness’ from my mother’s palace.” “Yes, I know.” Aimaru agreed. “What reason is there to frame me or Sesshoumaru?” “I can see many reasons to frame Sesshoumaru by making him appear to lose himself to the same lust that plague the males of his tribe. To claim his place as alpha, break the defense of the palace to claim all the unmated women, or to simply ruin the state of the western lands. You…though…” he paused to regard his brother with a sneer. “I see absolutely no reason to frame you. You have nothing to lose or gain in this situation. But I suppose you are an expendable pawn to fool Sesshoumaru into slaying you instead of the actual culprit should that person’s plan backfires.” Narrowed silver eyes glared suspiciously at his brother. “Indeed.” Aimaru rolled his eyes at his brother’s scrutiny. “Regardless of whatever explanations we come up with, no further conclusions can be drawn until Sesshoumaru brought back to the palace. So until then, let’s not worry about that for now.” “Oh that’s easy for you to say. I have to keep diligent watch over my shoulder and pray to the Kami that Sesshoumaru doesn’t return and slay me in my sleep for something I did not do.” Aimaru waved dismissively at his frantic brother. “Don’t worry about it little brother. If I were you I would be jumping with joy that my heart remains beating another day and for another unlucky male.” He chuckled darkly at the death glare Jabora threw his way. “Don’t irk me brother.” Jabora worried the long black strands of his hair. “I’m only grateful that Lady Inu Kimi didn’t anoint you as temporary lord here. Such a thing would be the end of the Western Palace as we know it.” Aimaru chuckled darkly, “Oh my dearest little brother, I’m hurt.” He swung his long limbs lazily off the bed. Jabora sent him another glare. “But then I guess I wouldn’t want to be lord after all. You know with a poison happy culprit on the loose and all.” Aimaru taunted as he looked pointedly to his brother then single handedly caught an airborne vase sailing towards his head. With a light chuckle he placed the vase beside his bed on the floor. “Again, I say stop worrying.” He sighed, and then rolled over to his side away from Jabora. “Now, go play dress up and kissy face with Rin and leave me to my much needed beauty rest. It wouldn’t do to be anything less than magnificent in the morning if I am to traipse about the western lands playing Hide and Seek with big brother.” “You act as if you don’t care about any of this!?” Jabora shrieked loudly. “You’re taking this all far too lightly in my opinion. “Probably because…” he paused to annoy his little brother, “I kind of don’t. Now be gone with you, you annoy me. Dawn is but a few hours away.” Aimaru answered tiredly. “Sometimes I really don’t like you brother.” Jabora whispered menacingly then stormed out of his brother’s chambers towards his own granting the lounging demon the blessed sounds of silence. “Indeed.” Aimaru added sleepily. - Days had passed and the demon lord was still insane and short of remembering himself. He continued to wander mindlessly throughout the vast forest, searching for a woman to quench his lust. Without sleep or nourishment or a willing body, Sesshoumaru was falling deeper into the red haze that devoured his mind, threatening to permanently cast him into a world of madness. No longer was he infamously rational and collected demon lord, but a lustful beast surging through the lands of Japan. Searching, seeking, wanting, and needing. A mate. He needed, wanted, craved a mate. The many scents of numerous females that were either pregnant, in heat, or still virtuous, all called out to him but had failed to draw him near. No matter how great his lust was, he still wasn’t so needy that he would mate just any female. But it was ever so present in his body; the craving for flesh. So much in fact that it emitted strongly in his aura, calling out to unmated females in range of him. One by one, they approached willing to mate with the needy demon lord and one by one he rejected them. They just weren’t what he wanted and it was angering demon lord. Another evening was approaching as a female drew near. From where he settled he watched a tall, lithe blue haired beauty walk gracefully into his sight. Already undressed and ready to receive him, she glided along the forest floor towards where he reclined wearily against a tree. Sesshoumaru’s nostrils flared to sample her scent and he instinctually mingled his aura with hers. A neko demon, he managed to observe. She was definitely willing, her desire was thick in the air around him but it did nothing for him. He growled in disappointment to the approaching female. She came up short of the demon lord to kneel on all fours before him while baring the pale flesh of her neck to his dark red gaze. “You’re beast desires a mate, my lord.” Her voice was sultry and seductive as she spoke, “If not a mate, perhaps willing flesh to quench your lust?” she offered eagerly. Sesshoumaru bore his fangs. How dare she think that she is what he needs? “You don’t please me, leave.” He said in a raspy voice while eyeing the blue curls between her legs glistening with her own rising desire. What was it that was keeping him from taking the women who came to him so willing? The demoness pouted then crawled closer and purred. “You have yet to touch me, yet you believe I am not worthy.” She sat back to expose her wet sex to his hungry gaze. She reached down to part her slick folds, filling the air with her scent in hopes to beckon the demon lord. She could see his erection tight against his hakamas, making her greedy for it magnificence. “Your body seems to disagree with you.” The demon lord’s cock twitched at the insinuation. Yes, he wanted her body, but he didn’t want her. Through all the chaos and insanity of his mind, he knew he didn’t want this woman. Calmly he spoke to her. “This Sesshoumaru will not repeat himself.” The neko demon glowered then retreated with a smirk. “Suit yourself my Lord. But remember, I will be waiting should you decide differently.” She chuckled seductively then disappeared into the forest leaving the demon to himself. He could still feel her close by along the edges of his mind. No doubt in hopes that his heat would get the better of him. The following day, reaching the mark of noon, Aimaru and Jabora sped through the forest eastward at top speed. “Aimaru…slow down.” Jabora called up ahead to the demon running and jumping swiftly through the tree tops. He clicked his tongue haughtily and speed up his gait so that he somewhat alongside his older brother. Aimaru looked over and regarded his brother with a taunting smile and suddenly took another large leap and disappeared into the clearing up ahead. “Oh he’s such a…” Jabora hissed then did the same. It was a good thing he wore traditional men’s clothing. He didn’t think he could manage gallivanting about the western lands behind his brother in a heavy and restricting kimono like he originally wanted to wear. Although the haori and hakamas he wore were still flashy. He’ll compromise the fit of the clothing but he’ll be damned if he’ll compromise his style. He thought firmly. When he landed he found his brother standing motionless in the center of the clearing with his head high in the air sampling it. “You could have slowed down brother.” he snapped breathlessly to his brother who didn’t look tired in the least. In fact he looked refreshed. Not a hair out of place or a bead of sweat gracing his brow. Bastard. He hissed silently. “Before you insisted on tagging along little brother…did I not warn you that I will not slow down to accommodate you? This was initially a lone mission. I allowed you to follow me for as long as you could keep up. Apparently you can’t.” He smirked as he looked curiously to the eastern horizon. Jabora held his tongue and sulked off to the side. Truth be told he didn’t want to be left alone at the palace should Sesshoumaru return before he does and thought best to keep close to the annoying bastard. Though he had a feeling Aimaru had figured out that much with his relentless taunting. “Do you still smell his scent?” he asked frigidly. He would check himself but his brother had a far keen sense of smell than he had. With a frown, Aimaru turned his face to the east and drew the air deeply into his lungs. He could still smell the faint traces of his scent lingering around the clearing. Sesshoumaru has covered quite a bit of ground in the past few days it seems. It was as if the man was running around in circles, like he was searching, but for what Aimaru wondered. “No. It’s freshest this way.” He nodded his head to the east. Jabora snapped a fan loose to fan lightly at himself. It was cool out but the sweat he managed to work up trying to keep up with his pigheaded brother said differently. “Are we at least closer to finding him this time? It’s been three days already since we started looking for him. We searched nearly all of the western lands and found hair nor hide of him.” Shrugging, Aimaru strolled down the clearing heading steadily to the east. “Then that mean our dear brother has strayed off the western lands then. His trail smells stronger the more we travel east, so it safe to assume that we will find our crazed sibling somewhere in the Eastern territories.” He threw over his shoulder. “I’d say we should be coming upon him in…” he paused as he calculated the distance and their progress. “…a day’s time perhaps.” “Good.” Jabora sighed in relief and fell into step behind his brother grateful for the normal pace. At least until his brother suddenly shot off the ground and into the forest in one graceful leap ahead of him. Jabora growled darkly and shot after the demon who he heard chuckling lightly ahead of him. “You’re such a bastard Aimaru.” You have no idea little brother. Aimaru thought secretly to himself. That night, it was past the mark of midnight. The demon lord sped throughout the forest along the edges of villages, packs, and fortresses and still hadn’t found one suited to satisfy his sexual hunger. He couldn’t take it any longer. He was so far gone that he had no recollection of his palace, his lands, his status as alpha, just the knowledge of the yearning eating away at his insides. The demon lord finally stopped in a clearing to rest from his mindless, desperate search for that specific female. He closed his eyes to sample the air one last time and then he smelled it; a delicious, alluring, innocent scent that beckoned him fiercely. His nostrils flared to draw the tantalizing scent greedily into his lungs. It was familiar, he knew this smell. It definitely smelled of woman. It smelled of lavender, with a cool refreshing musk reminiscent of an ocean breeze. The specific scent itself wasn’t what concerned the demon lord at the moment; it was the owner of this smell. He MUST find the owner of this smell. Its aroma promised him the solace and release from this need he so desperately wanted rid of. Without hesitation, he sped off in the direction the scent originated from in hopes of finding her, this nameless woman. He knew who this woman was, yet he didn’t. His mind was so muddled with red clouds of desire, lust and greed for sex that it all came to the demon lord as surreal. He was so sex crazed that it practically bordered on hysteria. The demon lord stopped and walked up to an old abandoned well where the scent was freshest, hinting that she once occupied this spot. Fresh enough that an image of the woman associated with this smell formed within his mind. Long black wavy hair glistening with blue hues, rich with luster, long thick black lashes framing blue bright defiant eyes, then there were her thick sensuous lips that were always pink and rosy, upturned in a mischievous grin. He could see her so clearly, but, why was she not here? What was this woman’s name? He recalled that he’d met her somewhere. He growled in frustration as he fought to think. His sex began to throb painfully, and his balls swelled with a mounting desire that was building behind an unseen force, pushing him to his wits end. Sesshoumaru made his way over to the old well sinking slowly to his knees. He moved to sit and recline his tired form against the old worn wood of the well. Where was she? He wondered in aguish. The demon lord needed her so much it hurt. He reached down to capture his clothed erection within his palm to tightly jerk its long thick length in desperate strokes as heat radiated from his groin. It felt so magnificent to have something stimulate his lust. Anything was better than nothing at this point. He wanted no other to come to him. It had to be her heat on his cock, her moist slick walls pulling at his length. There was no other the demon lord could imagine gracing his arms. The dam that had been blocking his orgasm, cracked slightly. Not good enough, he would get his release; he would not be denied his sanity. He released the ties to loosen his hakamas, and resumed to pumping his cock in a tight fist, threatening to rub his skin raw as his release slowly came through to the surface. Needing more stimulation he rubbed a callous thumb across the wet bulbous head of his cock, his body tightened with the growing throb that shook through his body. He sped up the strokes on his length panting as a mind blowing climax suddenly poured out with a force so strong he roared into the midnight sky. His back was arched rigidly as he ejaculated into the cool night air onto the grass before him. It was then that the demon lord felt the blissful sensation of the orgasm washing over him in delicious waves that he rode until they were nothing more than small ripples, leaving his body tingling right beneath his heated skin. The cool breeze caressed his sweating flesh and stirred his long silver tresses. When his high subsided, after days of wandering through the red clouds of lust, he could finally think with a clear mind. Gold eyes quickly scanned the clearing before he succumb the sleep creeping over his body. Not even a moment after his release did the suffocating embrace of lust surround his fatigued body. Sesshoumaru growled his frustration deep in his throat as he felt his sex grow within his hand once again. This was ridiculous he thought angrily. Now that he had more awareness he could finally sort his thoughts and managed to remember the treachery of that wretched demon Jabora. The demon lord shuddered in revulsion and fought the rage that bled around the edges in his mind. Yes Sesshoumaru thought. He will pay dearly and with painful retribution then minute he set eyes on him. Such things he couldn’t allow nor forgive. What arrogance that that demon thought he could attack and poison him with this confounded illness and believed he’d get away unscathed. Not just any poison, but the poison only the Inus of his Tribe possessed in their very claws. Already the demon lord could feel his claws slicing that fool’s neck, relieving his shoulders completely of his head. It was the only thing the demon lord had to look forward to the next time he saw him. Though it pleased his need for revenge it did nothing to ease the lust that was filling his member. Here he was livid thinking of murder and his body still throbbed with desire slithering through his veins. Sesshoumaru released his tender semi-erected flesh then relaxed on the cool earth on the side of the well. Heavy lidded golden eyes watched as dawn slowly approached over far green hills surrounded by tall ancient trees. It was then that he remember the identity of the woman who face still lingered in his mind. It is the miko, the true owner of this scent that tortures me. Sesshoumaru mused as darkness shrouded his mind making it difficult to stay conscious. Finally, the demon lord gave way to a dreamless deep sleep that claimed his sweaty and weary body. While AFF and its agents attempt to remove all illegal works from the site as quickly and thoroughly as possible, there is always the possibility that some submissions may be overlooked or dismissed in error.
