~CHAPTER TWO~
Unbeknownst to Inuyasha, however, Kagome had had her own 'response' to the encounter, back at their campsite, while he had his far away. She gasped, and her fists tightened, as a coil in her belly twisted tighter. She thought about how Inuyasha had been standing there, and wondered briefly what had brought him over to her in the first place. Suddenly, she recalled the special dream she'd been having, and her face flushed bright red. ,There's no way that he could have know what I was dreaming about!' she thought to herself, shaking her head back and forth. "There's just no way!" "there's just no way, what, Kagome? what's wrong?" Kagome turned to see the demon slayer partially sitting up, propping herself up on one arm as she looked at her with concern. "a bit flustered, Kagome began rapidly shaking her head, about to brush her friends concerns aside, when she realized that maybe she ought to take advantage of the young woman's vast knowledge of demons. "Sango, is there any way that a demon could read someone's mind, or sense their thoughts?" "Well, I have only ever heard of one or two demons who were born with that ability, but aside from them, no, demons generally can't read minds...why do you ask?" "oh, no reason, really. I was just having a nightmare, and the demon I was dreaming about was able to sense what was going on inside my head" Kagome lied. "I just wanted to know if that was even possible." "Well, demons cant read your thoughts, generally, but they can sense your emotions and feelings." "what? How??" "oh, through smell, and through your aura...why do you ask, Kagome? You seem very concerned..." Sango had woken up a bit more by now, and was studying Kagome's face very carefully. Kagome blushed again, and quickly waved Sango's concerns away. "Oh, it's nothing! No big deal, really! I just had a bad dream! Nothing to be concerned about! I was just really curious to know whether or not my dream would even have been possible, and I'm just so glad to know that it wouldn't be. It just gives me peace of mind, so I can tell that demon to go away if I start having that dream again! Thanks, Sango! You're a great friend! Well, I'm going back to sleep now! Goodnight, Sango!" And with that, Kagome quickly laid back down and rolled over in her sleeping bag, facing away from Sango. Her heart was racing, and her nipples tightened into little buds. 'He...He came up to me because he could sense my arousal??-----oh no, or was it because he could *smell* my arousal?!?'
