I ate my slightly burnt potato with Rin. I really wasn’t hungry, but Rin seemed insistent that I eat. Then Rin went to the two headed dragon and pulled out a blanket from its saddle laying it on the ground. She ushered me over to it and had me lay down with her. She smiled at me and closed her eyes. I was tired too, but I couldn’t sleep with him watching me.
Tears poured down my cheeks at my lost innocence and the fact that the man who took me would most likely use me again. I didn’t want to be touched by anyone anymore so I moved where I wasn’t near Rin. She had been grabby with me too and I was tired of being grabbed at. I just wanted everything that happened to go away. Suddenly a green mist floated over me seeping into my skin and making my eyes droop. Next thing I knew I was out cold. No dreams, no nightmares, simply in a sedated slumber. Hours later I awoke to the sounds of birds chirping in the trees and the softness of something wrapped around me. I was also moving through the forest at a rather slow pace. I opened my eyes and I was riding on top of the two headed dragon. Someone was behind me holding me upright and I was wrapped in white fur. My legs were draped over the side and when I looked up I saw my worst nightmare. Sesshoumaru-sama was holding me like a babe in his arms while looking straight ahead. Rin was in front of us pulling the dragon along through the forest by its lead while humming happily to herself. I struggled to get free only for Sesshoumaru-sama to look down at me with a frown and then he spoke to Rin. “Rin shuushi. (stop)” Sesshoumaru-sama said as he growled at me to stop my struggling. His white fur tightened around me like an anaconda and I was unable to struggle any further. “Karei juubun. (enough).” Sesshoumaru-sama said to me although I didn’t understand him. “InuKinu Sesshoumaru-sama.” Rin said in a scolding tone and Sesshoumaru-sama frowned ignoring Rin. Then Sesshoumaru-sama said something to Rin and Rin frowned shaking her head. Then Rin continued on through the forest with the dragon heading towards a small river. “Sesshoumaru-sama kan en sakana? (Can I fish)?” Rin asked. Sesshoumaru-sama nodded and slid down off the dragon, but did not release me. Instead he simply sat down at a tree holding me in his arms relaxing in the shade. Rin did something in the water after pulling out a string with little hooks in it. With her hands she seemed to do well catching several fish putting them on the hooks and then brought them for Sesshoumaru-sama to see. “Tame nain? (Good no)?” Rin said. “Tame.” Sesshoumaru-sama said simply and Rin then went about starting a fire for the fish. As soon as the fire was started, Rin got several small sticks out for cooking and used a knife from the pack to cut the sticks into small stakes putting the fish on them and arranging them around the fire to cook. “InuKinu……..” Rin said and waved her hand over for me to come sit with her. Sesshoumaru-sama unraveled the fur and pushed me in Rin’s direction. Sesshoumaru-sama said something to me and Rin looked at Sesshoumaru exasperatedly. “InuKinu Sesshoumaru-sama.” Rin said in irritation. Sesshoumaru-sama said something back to Rin and the subject was dropped. I listened to Rin as she pointed to things and told me what they were in her language. “Sakana.” Rin said pointing to the fish. “Fish.” I said and she tried it. “Feesh.” Rin said. I nodded yes and then I said fish in her language. “Faia.” Rin said pointing to the fire. “Fire.” I said. “Fyrre.” Rin said and I nodded. We did this while we ate and I picked up the language pretty well. It was almost like second nature as if I knew it, but simply had forgotten. Sesshoumaru-sama watched this intently before he got up and left for a while. I thought it the perfect chance to escape only for him to come back almost as quickly as he left while licking some blood of his bottom lip. Rin wouldn’t have noticed, but I did. It was obvious he had killed something and ate it. It made me wonder what he ate and how he could eat so fast. Rin said something to me and then took me over to the river’s edge to get a drink. Then she took Aun with her to the water where the dragon drank from the stream before going back over to a grassy area to graze. It was the strangest thing to see a dragon eat grass. Rin worked with simple words for me for a long time and then she worked with me on a few sentences. She said her name was Rin and my name was InuKinu. I repeated after her until I got it right. By the time we were done eating and talking it was mid afternoon. It looked like Sesshoumaru-sama was also asleep. Still I did not trust this since I had a feeling if I moved around too much he would wake and come after me. Rin explained to me that Sesshoumaru-sama was a diayouki. A youkai was a demon and he was a great demon or strong demon. It was hard to understand although Rin did pretty well in simplifying things with gestures and funny actions. She explained to me that she was saved by Sesshoumaru-sama although I couldn’t imagine this man saving anyone. He seemed too cold for that. It didn’t matter though to me since he did not lift a finger to save me. He simply did what those men were going to do to me and why he kept me alive was beyond my understanding. I didn’t know what an ookami (wolf) was, but apparently that had been what had killed Rin. She was afraid of ookami and I did not blame her one bit. Then she said it was ookami that attacked me so I assumed she meant some kind of demon. Then she howled and said ookami again. Then I realized what she meant. Wolf, wolf demons. So I asked what Sesshoumaru-sama was. Rin barked and stuck out her tongue panting then pointed to Sesshoumaru-sama and me saying Inu. Then I realized Inu meant dog. He was a dog demon. That explained some things, but not everything. “Inuyasha-sama Sesshoumaru-sama’s Otouto. (little brother)” It took me a bit to figure out what an Otouto was. Then Rin drew a picture pointing. “Sesshoumaru-sama.” She said pointing to the tall stick figure. “Inuyasha-sama.” She said pointing to the second picture. “Sesshoumaru-sama Inuyasha-sama’s Ani. (older brother).” Rin said. Then she drew another picture of a taller man. “Sesshoumaru-sama ken Inuyasha’s Chichi (Father). Inu No Tashio Touga-sama.” Rin said and then I understood. This was their Father. Then she drew a woman. “Izayoi-sama Inuyasha-sama’s Haha (Mother). Rin said pointing to the girl stick figure. Then Rin drew another picture. “Sesshoumaru-sama’s Haha.” Rin said and then I understood. They were half brothers of the same Father. I asked Rin where her parents were and she said they were dead. I asked if they were killed by demons and she said no. She said they were killed by humans. I felt bad for her, but Rin smiled and said she had Sesshoumaru-sama and Inuyasha-sama. I smiled since I was glad she wasn’t alone. “Inuyasha-sama hanyou.” Rin said then pointed to me and explained he was half human and half demon like me. She also said Inu hanyou so I felt better knowing I wasn’t the only Inu hanyou around. As it drew closer to night Sesshoumaru-sama woke up. He then grasped my arm again and pulled me over to the two headed dragon. “Rin……” Sesshoumaru-sama said. “Hai (yes)……” Rin said and then Sesshoumaru-sama said something else and Rin got on the dragon helping me up onto it as well. Rin reached down and took the reins in hand. Then the dragon lifted into the sky which shocked me at first since the dragon did not have wings. However there was something flowing on its feet. Then Sesshoumaru-sama lifted into the sky floating next to us on his white furry thing. We floated in the sky all night long with Rin falling asleep while I was afraid to since I did not wish to fall off. However that green mist floated from Sesshoumaru-sama and I was out cold on the back of Rin. ************************************************************************************************************************* Rin was worried about InuKinu. She burnt her potato keeping it in the fire as long as she did, but she had to eat so Rin pulled the potato out of the fire and set it on a rock for InuKinu to eat after it cooled a bit. “You need to eat InuKinu. I know you are sad, but you need food.” Rin said and as soon as the potatoes were cooled a bit Rin handed InuKinu hers and told her to eat it. Rin could tell that InuKinu did not like her potato, but she needed food and the potato was nice and starchy. She would catch fish tomorrow if Lord Sesshoumaru took them to the river in the morning. She would ask him when they woke up. After eating Rin got the blanket from Aun’s saddle and laid it on a grassy spot on the ground where there were fewer rocks. Rin was tired and hoped InuKinu could sleep. She pulled InuKinu to the sleeping area and had her lay down. Rin fell asleep immediately dreaming of fun times with her new friend. At least when Lord Sesshoumaru would leave her for a time she would not be alone and that cheered Rin up. Sesshoumaru watched the two girls on the blanket and smelled tears coming from the hanyou. It would not do if his pet was too tired for the activities he planned for her so he let out a bit of his poison knowing it would simply make her sleep. He also noted that his Karei was not sleeping by Rin’s side and that she moved so that not even Rin could touch her. That disturbed him although he decided to let it go for now. Karei would have to get used to being touched since he would be touching her often. Throughout the night Sesshoumaru went about his usual rounds, killing whatever was near his territory and watching the carnage of another village under attack by bandits. He was interested in seeing the humans suffer and waited for the fires to burn out before making himself known to the bandits that attacked so he could kill them. Bodies of women, men, and children littered the ground. The bandits spared no one. Sesshoumaru wasn’t surprised. Humans were crude filthy creatures most of the time and he had no particular use for them. Rin was the only human he cared for and Kagome was simply alive since she was entertaining. However he did try to kill her before so it was not like he would never do it again. If she got in his way she would die. The bandits of course foolishly attacked him and this time Sesshoumaru decided to let his full dog form out to play. His body contorted and within seconds the magic did its job transforming him into his truest form. He used his poison breath to subdue the men and drooled his acid on a few of them watching them writhe in agony before perishing. Then he used his giant claws to rip some of the others apart leaving the leader for last as he used his fangs to rip out the man’s guts. He didn’t much care for the taste of humans, but Sesshoumaru had not eaten in a while so he changed forms then ripped out the liver and heart of the man devouring them although he was careful not to get blood on his kimono. It was a mere snack and he would feast tomorrow on one of the deer he saw in the forest. It was almost dawn and thus Sesshoumaru headed back to the camp at a leisurely pace. There was no rush to get back. The females could sleep in a bit. When he got back the sun was up and so was Rin who was trying to wake up his Karei. “Rin, leave her be.” Sesshoumaru said as Rin nodded and Sesshoumaru picked up his pet wrapping the sleeping girl in his mokomoko. For the fantastic sex she gave him, Sesshoumaru would allow the girl as much sleep as she wanted. After all she would need it for their next round. Looking at his Karei, Sesshoumaru decided he too would relax a bit for the day. He climbed on Aun with his pet and urged Rin to join them, but the girl wanted to walk for a while so he indulged his little human. Sesshoumaru decided they would make the long journey back to Inuyasha’s village tonight since he wanted to spend time with his Karei alone. Karei started to wake after an hour of walking. Sesshoumaru ignored her for the most part realizing where Rin was headed. It was a good spot for them to stop so he could rest a bit after getting his own meal. Suddenly the girl in his arms started to struggle and Sesshoumaru looked down at his Karei with a frown. She was not going to get away from him now and this was simply foolish. He had her in his mokomoko so she couldn’t struggle to much, but it was causing his balance to shift. If the girl did not stop they would both end up on the ground. “Rin stop.” Sesshoumaru said finally getting fed up with his pet’s behavior. He decided to growl lowly at her to once again reinforce his dominance and with his powers had mokomoko tighten around Karei until she couldn’t move. “Karei enough.” Sesshoumaru said in anger. He would not have his pet disobeying him. When he had her alone and away from Rin he was going to train her to be a proper pet. Karei would learn by pain or fear that she was not to misbehave and like Rin would eventually come to adore her Lord. “InuKinu Lord Sesshoumaru.” Rin said in a scolding tone since Karei was not the hanyou’s name. Karei was a pet name and her new friend was not a pet. “Mind yourself Rin. This hanyou is mine to do with as I see fit.” Sesshoumaru said and Rin frowned shaking her head. Sesshoumaru was not going to make her friend his pet if she could help it. Rin continued on through the forest with the dragon heading towards a small river. It was the perfect fishing spot and she hoped Lord Sesshoumaru wouldn’t mind stopping there. “Lord Sesshoumaru, can I fish?” Rin asked hoping he would say yes. Sesshoumaru nodded and slid down off the dragon, but did not let go of his Karei. Instead he simply sat down at a tree deciding to relax for a while while he pondered what he would do with his Karei for training. Sesshoumaru really did not like the idea of causing her too much pain, but that all depended on her behavior. Some things could be punishable by death if he did not teach her the proper behaviors his little brother seemed to ignore. Then again Inuyasha was always an odd one with a foul mouth and temper to match. No one bothered Inuyasha much except for Sesshoumaru who merely put up with him. They still did not like each other and Sesshoumaru wondered if his stupid little brother would have a shit fit when he found out that Sesshoumaru made one of his kind a pet. They would probably fight over it, but Sesshoumaru did not mind that. He had bakusaiga now so if Inuyasha really wanted to challenge him than he would be in a world of pain. Rin waded into the water folding her kimono up so it would not get wet after pulling out a string with little hooks in it from Aun’s saddle. With her hands she used a tickle method to catch several fish putting them on the hooks and then brought them for Lord Sesshoumaru to see. He was always proud of how she was able to fend for herself and like a child she still wanted his approval. Bringing the fish over with a bright smile on her face she showed her catch to Lord Sesshoumaru. “Good no?” Rin said. “Good.” Sesshoumaru said simply letting his Rin know she did well. It had always been important to the child for Sesshoumaru to acknowledge her skills and thus Sesshoumaru humored her. Rin then went about starting a fire for the fish. As soon as the fire was started, Rin got several small sticks out for cooking and used a knife from the pack to cut the sticks into small stakes putting the fish on them and arranging them around the fire to cook. Rin wished there were some herbs close by since the fish were rather plain without spice, but at least they would feed them for the day. “InuKinu……..” Rin said and waved her hand over to her friend since she wanted to spend some time with her knowing Lord Sesshoumaru usually rested during the day on nice days like this. Sesshoumaru unraveled the fur and pushed his Karei in Rin’s direction. “Karei go with Rin.” Sesshoumaru said and Rin looked at Sesshoumaru exasperatedly. “InuKinu Lord Sesshoumaru.” Rin said in irritation. “Rin do not make me repeat myself. She is mine and I shall call her what I please.” Sesshoumaru said hoping he would not have to discipline Rin again. The girl hated spankings, but he would spank her if she kept pushing things. Rin dropped the subject giving up. She did not want Lord Sesshoumaru mad at her, but he wasn’t being very nice to InuKinu. InuKinu was a person not Sesshoumaru’s pet. Aun was a pet. Jaken even got more respect before he died then InuKinu. It wasn’t right. Rin decided now was a good time to learn InuKinu’s language and teach her Japanese so she would understand what people were saying. Rin pointed to different one word things and told InuKinu what they were in her language first. “Fish.” Rin said pointing to the fish saying it in her language and InuKinu was smart enough to understand this game. Sesshoumaru taught her to speak again doing this. It would be easy after a while and InuKinu was learning rather quickly. InuKinu said fish in her language and Rin tried it. “Feesh.” Rin said. InuKinu nodded yes happily making Rin smile. “Fire.” Rin said pointing to the fire in her language and then InuKinu tried it. Then Rin tried to say fire in her language “Fyrre.” Rin said and InuKinu nodded. Rin continued this for a long time while the fish were cooking and got to know InuKinu pretty well. Sesshoumaru wasn’t certain it was a good idea for Rin to teach Karei their language since he did not want Rin to find out what he was going to do with his pet. Still, he did want Karei to understand him and basic commands. Perhaps this was not a bad thing. Feeling his stomach rumble a bit, Sesshoumaru realized he was indeed hungry so he assumed he could leave the young women for a moment. Sesshoumaru figured if his Karei ran from him he would easily find her and bring her back after punishing her so he hoped she would remain like a good pet. Sesshoumaru rushed through the woods towards the deer he knew were in hiding. Changing forms he easily grasped the unsuspecting doe and took off with her before the herd was spooked since he wanted to use these hunting grounds again sometime. In his true form it only took him seconds to devour the deer and then he would not have to eat for at least a few more weeks. He devoured everything of the deer melting hooves and bones in his acidic drool. Then he sat letting the nutrients flow into his body before heading back almost as quickly as he left. Sesshoumaru transformed back into his humanoid form and realized he still had a small piece of bloody meat in between his fangs. He chewed it up swallowing it and as he approached the camp he licked the blood from his bottom lip that had leaked out. He took note that Karei noticed this and decided next time he would insure to bring back some meat for her since the hanyou could use a bit of something other than fish. In fact he had yet to see the hanyou hunt and thus assumed she probably did not even know how. It was pathetic really, but what did he expect from a mere hanyou? “Come with me for a drink of water.” Rin said to InuKinu. She was certain that the cooked fish would make InuKinu thirsty and was glad that InuKinu was starting to understand her. Then Rin grabbed Aun’s reins and brought him over to drink since the old dragon did not move much unless someone was making it do something. She also took off Aun’s masks so he could drink and get something to eat. Lord Sesshoumaru usually kept Aun’s masks on the dragon to show his dominance over the burden beast, but Rin liked to pet Aun’s soft muzzles and treated him like an old friend. Aun seemed to understand her when no one else did. Rin took Aun to where a very nice patch of sweet grasses were for the burden beast to feast on. The two heads seemed happy as they chewed on the soft grasses and there was plenty there for them to eat their fill. After getting Aun settled Rin worked on simple words again like flower, bee, tree, bush, grass, rocks, and dirt. When InuKinu got these words Rin repeated after InuKinu her language concerning these things. Then Rin worked on sentences starting with flowers and river. Trees and bushes. Then she slowly adding more complex words to them. Rin then worked on how to say what her name was and what InuKinu’s name was so that she would have at least that much to start a conversation with. Introductions were very important. InuKinu did the same for Rin as Rin was doing for her by telling her forms of these words. Soon they were talking as if there were no language barriers although some words were still hard for both of them. Finishing off the fish Rin felt completely full and content. There was still enough fish to put in Aun’s saddle for later when they weren’t near a stream. By the time they were done eating it was mid afternoon and Rin knew Lord Sesshoumaru was asleep. Rin knew not to move around too much or it would wake him so she kept her movements minimal although she did many gestures with her hands for InuKinu to understand her and facial expressions. Kagome taught her a bit of how sometimes an expression by hand or by face could tell a lot about a person. Kagome said the only exception to this rule was Lord Sesshoumaru since he always seemed either bored or mad. Lord Sesshoumaru rarely showed his emotions on the outside, but he was a Lord of demons so he considered emotions a weakness. Luckily InuKinu seemed to understand that she also should not move around too much lest she wake Lord Sesshoumaru and she spoke a little quieter. Rin truly hoped her Lord would stop being an ass since InuKinu was so very nice. Rin really wanted InuKinu to like her Lord. Lord Sesshoumaru was the bravest most dashing man alive in Rin’s eyes, but whenever he was around a hanyou it seemed her Lord had to behave like a jerk. Inuyasha was his brother for hell’s sake and Sesshoumaru couldn’t act decent around him for five seconds. He was always making an angry face at Inuyasha or sneering at him. Now with InuKinu he was treating her friend like a pet and claimed her like one. Rin hated to see the battle that was going to happen when they got back to Inuyasha’s village. Rin figured Inuyasha would take it pretty personal that Lord Sesshoumaru was treating one of his kind like a pet. Then again if InuKinu went to Inuyasha for help he might have done the same thing as Sesshoumaru to her. Inuyasha was still a man and Kagome said men were not to be trusted to themselves. Putting her own feelings of what was going on to the side, Rin spoke to InuKinu about Sesshoumaru. “Lord Sesshoumaru is a diayouki meaning great demon. Youkai is a demon. Diayouki is a strong powerful demon.” Rin said this doing a demon growly face and pretended she had claws than she pointed to some flowers that were red and said red then pointed to her eyes and said eyes. InuKinu seemed to understand this. Rin then explained to InuKinu that she was saved by Lord Sesshoumaru. InuKinu nodded in understanding although she seemed sad. Then Rin realized InuKinu wasn’t saved by her Lord. He was going to let her die and Rin felt sad. Still it didn’t deter her from making InuKinu understand why she was with Lord Sesshoumaru since many people did not understand why a human girl would associate herself with a dangerous demon man. Doing her best to try to tell the story of her meeting with Lord Sesshoumaru she kept it simplified. She explained how Kouga of the wolf demon tribe attacked her village and how wolves had killed her. Rin also explained that the demons that Sesshoumaru killed that were attacking InuKinu were also wolf demons. To emphasize what wolf meant in her language Rin howled, but not too loud. InuKinu understood that and said wolf in her language and howled a little too sounding more like a wolf than Rin. For InuKinu it was a natural sound. Then InuKinu surprised Rin by asking what kind of demon Lord Sesshoumaru was. Rin laughed a bit and then she showed her. Rin barked softly and stuck out her tongue panting a bit. InuKinu smiled. He was a dog demon. That was probably why Lord Sesshoumaru’s scent to her was so strong and familiar InuKinu said using her nose to sniff so Rin could understand what she was saying. It was also important to Rin that InuKinu understood she was not the only Inu hanyou out there and hoped Inuyasha would help her friend fit in at the village if Lord Sesshoumaru let her stay. Rin had a feeling he would not. “Lord Inuyasha is Lord Sesshoumaru’s little brother.” Rin said as she drew a picture pointing to the stick figure with the dog ears on its head. “Lord Sesshoumaru.” Rin said pointing to the tall stick figure. “Lord Inuyasha.” Rin said pointing to the second picture. “Lord Sesshoumaru is Lord Inuyasha’s older brother.” Rin explained so InuKinu knew the concept of the two brothers. Then Rin drew another picture of a taller man since this was important. “Lord Sesshoumaru and Lord Inuyasha’s Father is Inu No Tashio Lord Touga.” Rin said and then InuKinu understood. Later Rin would explain the importance of their Father. Then Rin drew a woman and told InuKinu that she was human. “Lady Izayoi is Lord Inuyasha’s Mother. Rin said pointing to the female stick figure. Then Rin drew another picture. “Lord Sesshoumaru’s Mother.” Rin said and then InuKinu understood that Inuyasha and Lord Sesshoumaru were half brothers of the same Father. InuKinu asked Rin where her parents were and she said they were dead. Rin was sad about that, but it was a long time ago. InuKinu asked if they were killed by demons and Rin laughed and said no. Rin said they were killed by humans. Rin could tell InuKinu felt bad for her, but Rin smiled and said she had Lord Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha so she did not need to worry. InuKinu smiled at that. Rin then needed to explain that Inuyasha was also a half demon like InuKinu. That he was also an Inu hanyou. “Lord Inuyasha is a hanyou.” Rin said then pointed to InuKinu and explained Inuyasha was half human and half demon like she was. Rin also said Inu hanyou so that InuKinu felt better knowing she wasn’t the only Inu hanyou around. As it drew closer to night Sesshoumaru woke up after having the most magnificent dream. He had his pet all dressed in finery at the castle and was leading her about on her leash with her jeweled collar. She would smile at him and gush about how wonderful he was as a Master as all the courtiers looked in envy wishing they had what he did. His Karei slept with him, ate with him, and pretty much did everything with him except for battle. She would exclaim how perfect he was in battle and how powerful he was. Sesshoumaru also made love to his pet and she would say his name in passion as well as tell others what a great lover he was. It was the best dream he had in years. Sesshoumaru decided it was time to leave this place and grasped his Karei’s arm and pulled her over to Aun. “Rin……” Sesshoumaru said. “Yes……” Rin said. “We are leaving. Prepare yourself for departure.” Sesshoumaru said. Rin got on the dragon helped InuKinu up onto it as well. Rin reached down and took the reins in hand. Then the dragon lifted into the sky making InuKinu grasp tighter to Rin in fear she would fall. Rin simply smiled. She loved flying. Then Sesshoumaru lifted into the sky floating next to Rin and his Karei on his mokomoko. Sesshoumaru headed in the direction of Inuyasha’s village. It would be another full day’s travel to get there so he wanted to move as quickly as possible through the night as he watched the trees for any sign of trouble however the most he saw was a few lower demons out hunting nothing to be too concerned about. Looking at his Karei he realized the girl must be afraid of falling since she was holding onto Rin so tightly. Sesshoumaru wanted to laugh, as if he would let them fall. Still to quell her fears and to make sure she rested Sesshoumaru sent out some of his poison which seemed to work at knocking her out as she slumped onto Rin’s back falling asleep. Sesshoumaru traveled all through the night and into part of the day before stopping since Aun needed to rest. While AFF and its agents attempt to remove all illegal works from the site as quickly and thoroughly as possible, there is always the possibility that some submissions may be overlooked or dismissed in error.
