Chapter Two

Kagome turned to face the doll and smiled. "Oh, this is Yukiko, I found her in my time. She's not dangerous." The male scoffed and turned away from the two. "Whatever." Kagome let out a nervous chuckle before noticing the scared look on the dolls face. "Whats wrong Yukiko?" The male turned back to face them, the corner of his lips twitching.
Yukiko felt her heart thump loudly in her chest as she looked into those eyes.
'Inuyasha...'
She had zoned out, not being able to hear Kagome calling for her as she started at the familiar hanyou before her. Frail hands began to tremble as memories she kept locked away started to pour into her mind.

"Hitomi onee-sama!" A younger version of Inuyasha ran cheerfully towards the female, his arms outstreched for her to lift him up in a tight embrace. "My dearest Inuyasha, look at how fast you're growing." She said, staring down at the child, her eyes the clearest cyan holding the slightest trace of emerald in them. Inuyasha laughed happily, hugging the demoness' neck and nuzzling his face into her soft silver locks.
Her lips pulled into a smile, a clawed hand coming up to stroke the young hanyou's similar hair lovingly. "Onee-sama, I don't care if no one wants me around, as long as I have you I know I'll be alright!" The demoness was quiet at the childs words but brushed it off with a small laugh. "That is, until you find yourself a mate."
"But I don't want a mate!" Inuyasha whined, pouting at her.
"My dearest Inuyasha, someday you to shall find someone who will make your heart soar."

"Yukiko? Yukiko!" The doll shoke her head and looked up into the concerned face of her new found friend, Kagome. "Ah..Sorry, I was just thinking." Kagome made a small humming sound and Inuyasha turned away, starting to walk away. "Let's go Kagome, the others are waiting." Kagome straightened out, huffing in annoyance at the hanyou. She watched his retreating back till she felt something grasp her hand and looked down to see Yukikio's hand holding onto hers. "Lets go." The doll said, earning a smile from Kagome.
By the time they had caught up to Inuyasha he was already in the village, standing with a small group of people. "Kagome!" The voice of a child yelled, Yukiko watching as a small ball of fluff dashed over and attached itself to Kagome's neck. "I missed you too, Shippo." Kagome laughed, petting the being that wasn't just a ball of fluff, but a kitsune child. "Welcome back Kagome." The others greeted.
Yukiko looked up at them, inspecting them. One was a woman dressed in casual clothing with a large boomerang type weapon strapped to her back and a small cat demon tucked in her arms. The other was a male dressed in monk clothing carrying around a staff. Though what caught her interest was that his arm was wrapped not only in fabric bit secured with prayer beads.
'I wonder what that might be..' As she thought to herself, the monk noticed her staring and blinked curiously. "Who is this?" Kagome set down the kit and came over to her, placing a hand on her shoulder. "This is Yukiko, I found her in my time and brought her with me." The monk and other female visably tensed and Kagome waved her hands infront of her. "Don't worry! She's harmless. "
Inuyasha snorted. "How do you know that?"
Kagome looked over at him, glaring lightly. "Because if she was she would've taken the Sacred Jewel fragments from me the moment she met me!" As she spoke, Kagomes voice got progressively louder, causing the hanyou to shrink back. "Kagome is right, but speaking of the jewel fragments, we shouldn't be wasting time here." The other female pointed out, adjusting her weapon.
"Ah but before that!" Kagome moved to stand infront of Yukiko, pointing to her other companions. "This is Miroku, Shippo, Sango and Kirara. " After the introduction, Yukiko bowed polietly to them, earning a smile from Sango. "Stop standing around and lets go moving." Inuyasha muttered, turning to head towards the edge of the village where the forest lay. The others started to follow, except for Kagome who stood there with Yukiko.
"Inuyasha.." Kagome started, twiddling her fingers a bit as the hanyou turned. He immediatley knew what she was going to say and started stomping his way back. "No! She is not coming with us!" Kagome frowned and clenched her hands. "Why not?! I brought her here I can't just leave her!" As the two began to aruge once again, Shippo came over to Yukiko, smiling at her. "Don't worry, as soon as she says sit everything will be decided and you can come with us." Yukiko tilted her head at the orange haired demon. "Sit? What happens when she says sit?" Shippo grinned. "Just watch."
"SIT!!"
Yukiko turned her head just in time to see the rosary necklace Inuyasha wore begin to glow and his body get dragged forcefully into the ground, leaving an impact in the shape of his body. The group, including Yukiko, tip toed around the hanyou and followed after Kagome as she stormed off ahead.
"K-KAGOME!!"

An hour had passed since they had left the village and the thick forest seemed to strech forever. Shippo was perched on Kagomes shoulder, Inuyasha was at the front of the group. Miroku stood in the back and Sango stood towards the middle with Yukiko. The demon slayer looked down to the doll like creature for a few moments before speaking. "Yukiko, what exactly are you?" The group came to a stop at the question, all eyes turning to the doll.
Yukiko looked at them all before down at the ground. Inuyasha huffed and plopped himself down on the ground, signaling to the others that they were taking a break.
"I'm a demon obviously." Yukiko responded, searching the ground nervously. "What kind of demon?" Shippo asked next, coming to stand by her. Yukiko was silent, her hands coming up to touch the rosary necklace she wore. "I'm not allowed to tell." This only served to heighten everyones curiousity. "Why not?" This time it was Kagome. Yukiko looked up at Kagome, taking in a deep breath. "If I were to tell somebody my real identity, I'll be stuck in this body forever." Kagomes eyes widened a bit. "You mean, this isn't your real body?" Yukiko nodded, taking a seat on the ground. "Then when you said you needed to come here to see 'him' again, is that he a demon as well?" Yukiko nodded once more. "Until I can break the curse though I cannot be near him. He wouldn't know it was me, but I can't risk telling him and being stuck like this.." Kagomes face softened and Sango lowered her head. Miroku narrowed his eyes a bit, thinking her situation over.
Shippo grabbed Yukikos hands, looking at her with determined emerald eyes. "Don't worry! We'll help you break the curse." Yukiko nodded to him, knowing that her new companions would surely help her find a way.
Shippo laughed a bit. "You know, you nod a lot." Yukiko pulled her hands back and laughed softly. "I'm a quiet person, I find nodding to much simplier of a response than speaking. "
Inuyashas ears twitched at this, his brows furrowing a bit. That sounded familiar to him, but from where..?
